Great video ! =D i love EndlessSpace it's beautiful with also nice challenges. I've just finish playing the umbral in "serious" (the highest difficulty i've done yet), i feel like they are really really strong later in games maybe a bit OP. What do you think about them ?
Thanks :) yeah ES2 is a great game in very many aspects. I am okay with the Umbral choir. I like their aesthetics and their story. I am not a huge fan of the hacking system and since they rely a lot on it, that probably answers your question :) Many factions can become OP in the later stages of the game if one capitalizes on their strengths. Umbral Choir is definitely one of them. I mean, check out what you can do with the Hissho: steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1786219170354871108/D85F5D6F6CB1D248057E968040CF18E2AEDD873A/ The Umbral choir can get OP pops from sleepers, the Hissho can boost their home planet FIDS / pop to the stratosphere, the Vodyani can churn out one Ark per turn, the United Empire can have a whole fleet bought out with influence in a turn... It really depends how much you set up for it.
Oof i think i just about surpassed the 50ies. 63 is mindblowing. I think my record was with the Riftborn because iirc they receive a quest reward that increases the possible number of pops on planets. Or they used to. Either way, i remember that the wheel of pops around the planet basically formed a whole circle around it.
RUclips algorithm sucks, spent last 2 days trying to find good ES2 lets play, finally a success!
Im glad you found it :) thanks for the kind words.
Seeing the unfallen go a militaristic route sounds interesting
Wow, I have never seen such a tightly populated starting constellation!
Yeah i think me neither. Perks of having spawn points totally random i guess. Quite the opposite from the umbral choir playthrough.

Question what was the highest amount of pops you’ve ever had in a system? My record is 63 in a Horatio play through.
