    Colin Chapman put the British on top of the podium (and stayed there) when the government backed glamour teams (Ferrari, Renault, Mercedes etc) ruled for so long. We are the best in the world when it comes to formula racing...Makes you proud to be British.

      Dani Kahn I too am a proud Brit. but it must be said it was Vanwall and Cooper who first got us to the top step before Lotus.

      Dani Kahn. FYI Ferrari are not state backed and Mercedes were not compleating during the years Lotus were in F1.

    The interior is almost identical to that of the same year Esprit. I like how Chapman takes half the money and buys insider shares of DeLorean lol

    Coincidentally the Delorian reminds me of the Lotus Esprit. The Bond car.

    Not really sure the DeLorean was another Esprit. The Esprit was a brilliant sports car. The DeLorean was a mediocre dog of a car

    • @marcchan711
      @marcchan711 6 лет назад

      John Wh The only thing it shared with the Esprit was the inspired chassis backbone; nothing else was meant to be a rebadged Esprit

      paul hunter It is generally believed the cause of Jim Clarks crash was a deflating tyre, not car failure.
