My oldest son bought me my first Corvette for Christmas 2023. I am 63, and this 2024 is the first sports car I have ever owned. I told him I never thought he would have bought this for me. He immediately retorted that he was surprised that the Repo Man hasn’t found it yet. 😂😂😂😂😂
Been wanting a C8 for a long time.... i've had the money, but I just want to make sure I am getting a good deal on it. It seems as if prices are finally dropping.
@@lance4prez217 I went with white 2LT HTC. I previously rented a coupe and loved having the top off but it was a hassle, which is why I bought HTC. I put it up and down multiple times per day. Also didn’t want to lose the trunk space. I drive mine daily so I wanted the extra features like vented seats, extra cameras, and warning systems to keep me out of accidents. Went with white because I didn’t want something too flashy, but I kind of wish I went with another color like rapid blue.
Bro get a SD card for the C8. I have one in mine and it records every time I get in it. So if you let valet drive it, it records what they are doing. & the recording is 4k and you can see the video right away. It saves the video and you can see it on your corvette screen.
My wife picked mine... And she says she likes seeing me drive it and seeing that I am happy also. Like you said you only live once yolo... Plus you can get an engine anb a transmission for under 20K
That $1,500 transmission filter and fluid change is fairly decent. The cost of the Engine Out Service will tell the difference between a C8 and Ferrari.
HEY man you. are spot on!!!11I have 22 c8 and now have 8000 miles on it and still love diving it daily ,I've owed M3 AND M4 cs but really enjoy my c8,,,UPGRADEED exhaust with AWE touring and love it and best of all NO CEL...enjoy your c8 Bro one life to live...
Keep in mind that if you don't have your transmission serviced at the correct times your warranty is void. Also, never go over 5000 miles between oil changes.
I have a c7 zo6 and I’m ngl.. I’ve spent SO much money on it in different ways 😅 so I understand what you mean by the fun factor outweighs the money spent. It’s true but I haven’t done any more modifications recently just trying to save money but I work super hard and am always at work so I figured I’d get something to show for it and something I love and enjoy.
@michaelm3381 hard work my brother I apologize for the way I came off but that question gets old after being asked that for years invest in stocks buy a share with every paycheck it will pay off later on I sold back 50 shares of NIKE back to NIKE
The #1 thing I hate about owning a C8 is everyone asking me what i do for a living, like what does that even matter for ? Yall trying to work for me ? OK then 😂 I HATE that question
My 2022 C8 1lt Z51 has the upgraded factory exhaust so it has the extra 5 horsepower but I removed the factory exhaust because it is Too quiet for me and added a Corsa Extreme muffler delete.
Ima buy the 2024 model next year, I’ll b able to buy it outright and then have low insurance with USAA. I think it looked sick when you made the top go back. So clean!!!
I've owned BMWs for about 20 years and would buy again. This is not a dig on any other cars, I just love the refinement and style of certain BMWs When it comes to maintenance I find youtube videos and get a solid plan, then with videos on hand I do the work, all automotive repair shops in Hawaii are expensive, no matter what type of car it is. Great video and beautiful car!
I owned 3 different model in a span of 12 years. I too was passionate for BMW's. After too many nightmarish repairs. I decided to try c7. Owned it for 7 years , after 7 years with zero issue (oil change was free lifetime withbthe dealer I purchased) apart from tires change I did not spend anything else. I got warning light only once. That too rat bit washer fluid wire so had to replace them. Sold it after 7 years , it depreciated only 8k. Imagine owning bmw for 7 years, 50k car would be 15k value in 7 years. Plus 10+k maintenance. And Corvette is as much fun as bmw. Just give it a try
Few questions. what color is the exterior, hard to see on my phone. Also I'm coming from a Camaro as well, about how much did it increase for insurance full coverage? (I know this varies on location but trying to get an idea). Also how bad is it to see out the back window compared to the tiny one in the Camaro? Thanks
It’s shadow metallic gray. A lot factors into insurance, but I would say at least 50$ more a month. The back window you can barely see anything, but it has a digital rear view mirror hooked up to a camera in the back of the car . That helps a lot
Right now dealerships are backed up with 2024s, 2025s are coming out and there’s a glut of used ones out there for sale, I’ve seen one LT brand new from dealerships at 67K now, still a lot of car for the money, but at the end, you’re stuck with it very hard to move it and break out even,, will take a loss
Dont ever do that, your asking for someone to come key your car. No car deserves two spots, you are not two people. You bleed the same, and your grave will look the same as anyone else.
How do you feel about owners of pre-C8 Corvettes? As a C7 Vette owner, I am frequently disappointed by the dismissive attitudes of C8 owners. I suspect many C8 owners like to identify with other mid-engine supercars rather than identifying with the Corvette heritage.

It’s what makes you happy….Im 42 and I just said this to my mom the other day lol. I’m getting rid of my 2017 accord and buying a c8. Yolo lol
Haha that’s awesome. Take her for a ride in it once you get it.
You are 100% correct. Do what make you happy. Be yourself. Just do it!
Thanks Vince!

Same I’m thinking end of the summer to winter they will be cheaper
I just bought a 24 - they have em at dealerships for quite a bit off MSRP

When parking just park in the middle of the white lines using 2 spaces like I do
