American here, love the content man keep it up. I’m not a shirt collector per say I have 6 shirts (I wanna collect shirts but my parents probably wouldn’t want me spending a bunch on sports jerseys because I already have a decent sized hockey jersey collection and my step dad just has a lot of issues with soccer) but the shirts I have I can agree with the points you made in this video. For starters, a lot of my shirts I have an emotional attachment to. I have two shirts from the Mexican club Queretaro FC, and I’ll always appreciate these as they were a gift from my grandpa who used to go on work trips there and brought them for me. I have an Everton shirt which was given to me by my dad and is the reason I started watching some soccer, and finally my AEK Athens kit is special because it’s my main memorabilia from my trip to Santorini for my Aunts wedding. I also agree about how wearable they are. On hot summer days I like to wear the player version football shirts because the breathability they put in these helps on hot and humid days. Love seeing your collection and it really makes me want to start collecting shirts!

Classic football shirts from like pre-2010 are very rare the real ones. They are very underpriced rn in my opinion.

@@JerseyPassion98 I mean in general really. When you can get match spec shirts of legendary players for under €200, that’s quite undervalued in my opinion. When you consider the rarity of these shirts. Only so many produced in that year, most get thrown away or ruined by washing/overuse over time. Things that are rare hold value, I think basically as an asset rare good condition football shirts are undervalued

could you do a video where you tell us how to sell any shirts that are not rare but having a little profit, because i think that more common and big the club is and more shirts are on the internet, so it’s more difficult to sell your shirt without loosing money

I restrict my regular budget to £70. I was stupid with my money and overspent when I shouldn't. Buying old signed and niche shirts that I never wear or show to anyone that sit and gather dust in my wardrobe. I would say if you are to buy a football shirt, wait until mid-way or until close to the end of the season and get it for £20 or less. I would never pay full price for a current season shirt when I know the value will drop. I will still own it at some point, I don't need the latest shirt to watch the game or be a fan.

I agree with you. By trying to focus on special shirts, you'll realize that modern shirts can be quite cheap

They’re not a waste of money if anything they are an investment, collectables or even a way to start a conversation with other like minded people. Also its a great hobby that I do with my dad for nearly two & a half years now and gives us something else to bond over

That's actually based how much is the average money you have. If you're poor and jobless, then it's a waste of money. If you have a job or a business and you're able to collect money for 1 jersey for at least 3 months, then it's not a waste of money. Because if you're rich, you can buy jerseys like your buying a candy from a store.

I’m definitely biased, but I’ve been collecting Newcastle United and England shirts since 1995 to present, I’ve now included Juventus and Real Madrid shirts since 2021, but if you ask my wife. It drives her mad. It’s cost me an arm and a leg what I’ve spent over the years, I’ve pretty much used the whole wardrobe. lol, I’m going to box a lot of my printed vintage shirts soon. Just keep the newer ones I’ll be wearing throughout the year. Love watching your videos, keep up the awesome work.👍
