  • Finally, a system with mechanical horns! As some of you may have figured out, I'm Canadian, and mechanical horns are super rare up here. This was at a vacant office building, and the whole building has been gutted. System is mostly conventional, but there's addressable smoke detectors for elevator recall (shaft, machine room and lobbies). All horns are Edwards 885D. Hope you enjoy!

      I went to a school that had Wheelock NH horns on 4903-9101 strobe plates. It looked awesome.

    Can’t get enough Edwards in canada apparently. I will admit that adaptahorns seem like they’re very effective and the sound seems like it travels through walls easy as you can easily hear multiple horns from any angle/location.

      My God, were these loud. This was, by far, the loudest system I've ever tested. I always wear hearing protection during these inspections, and I took it off for one second, and I think I almost went deaf lmao.

    Twoplyboy once tested a school fire alarm system that had these adaptahorns running on code 3. Did you know that?

    I could tell that there was more than just horns. I heard some form of siren tone voice evac, and I also heard and saw an integrity.

    • @Twentythree33
      @Twentythree33  6 месяцев назад +2

      Nah it's just the horns here. I'm in Canada, and our codes state that you can't mix voice evac and horns together.
      As for the Integrity, there's none here that I know of. Could you tell me the time in the video where it is?

      There was a System Sensor S2415A remote strobe in the lobby, which is the flashing you saw.
