Bell Test #18: RARE Pyrotronics horn/strobes! (Mircom FX-2000)
It was definitely a surprise to walk into this building and find these. I believe the previous system was a Cerberus MXL-IQ, and was upgraded to a Mircom FX-2000 sometime in the 2010s. Hope you enjoy!

Potentially the most undersized panel I've ever seen in a building. This tower is 17 floors, and the panel is basically maxed out. Regardless, the system seems to work quite well. Enjoy! #firealarm #firealarmfriday

I absolutely LOVE AFP-200s. You might've been able to tell by me having three of them, lol. Came here expecting a crappy conventional system, and got a great system. I like Classics, and this was cool! Enjoy! #firealarm #firealarmfriday

I can't seem to get away from bells! These were extremely loud, plus I found a rare strobe plate! As the building was fully occupied, my coworker was at the panel silencing the bells every few seconds. Enjoy! #firealarm #firealarmfriday

That’s one heck of an interesting panel
Honestly, that bell tone on the speakers sounds AWFUL. I like that message though. Different compared to the normal voice. Nice test!
this is way better than karma or guilty pleasure
bro the alarm in the thumbnail is upside down
Yeah I know lol. I wrote it as a deficiency.
I love these horn strobes, especially in the surface mount strobe plate. Love that the MTL uses the same horn as the UMMT! Sweet system.
Blasting this rn
0:45 “The tone you heard confirms there is an emergency in the building you are to leave the building by the nearest exit or exit stairway. Do not use the elevators.!”
Finally, someone gets it right!
@@Twentythree33 I had to listen to it a few times to get it, right
Wow
OwO
These horn strobes sound great!
The system passed inspection!
in position homosexual are those rare in canada cause i inspect systems with those all the time
This was the first time I've come across these; Pyrotronics wasn't ever all that common up here.
These are rare to find in canada as the horns are usually found in America
Yeah Cerberus never really took off in Canada.
My ears are heavily damaged 😂😂😂
IMMA COME LIKE A BOOMERANGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG anyways blasted this fire at my cousins and they almost killed me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
My condolences for having to use that piece of shitplex. Nice test though! Edit: btw, how did you get that horn?
DM'd you on Discord
@@Twentythree33 thank you Mr. Glowstick ‘stick’
That sounds like max bell because I work at max bell and we have had them go off for no reason😂
Lol
Cool but so obnoxious
0:14 YAY BELLS!
That sounds like sh!t
Why would you have speaker strobes that sound like bells??
I'm in Canada, where bells are more recognizable as fire alarm signals compared to horns or tones. A lot of buildings use bell tones to avoid confusion. It makes sense in buildings like this, as this facility likely had bells prior to this system being installed in 2006.
Even the 2 Wire Advances do it. I try to do MT with my P2RH and it goes Brr Brr *High Beep Sound*.
I literally used this to find my lost airpod and it worked 😍
yay! not simplex.
Never heard that tone or voice on an EST system before
It’s most likely a Canadian feature.
Just looks like water tanks, they're probably there in case there's a drought.
Hi twentythree33
Why is that temporal 3 so long? Normally it is a slow beat but it’s almost like a continuous temp 3 if that makes sense
AFP-200s have a weird thing where the first pulse of their code 3 after activating the system is slightly longer. I'm not exactly sure why it does that, but a few Notifier/Fire-Lite panels do it. The reason you don't notice it on horn/strobes is because they are usually self-coded, whereas this system is coded by the panel.
I want to say it's a HydroFit. Those motors never disappoint!!!
first one sounds like a chainsaw
I have one. It’s really hard to pull
Love that tone. My middle school (another notifier system) uses it. Doesn’t EST use it as well?
Which profanity did he use
Your a meanie 😠
You're***
How to disable fault buzzer sound
Fix the cause of the fault. Then it won't beep.
BeeeAAAAP BeeeAAAAP BeeeAAAAP BeeeAAAAP
It seems like they got insparation from Simplex...
I'd prefer a World Dryer that doesn't work
Reminds me of conducting waterflow testing on a 30-story building where I alternated control valves in opposite stairwells to ensure each waterflow switch got properly activated
0:33 interesting strobe!
Having an AFP-200 on a 17 floor building is crazy work 😵
Interesting how the first pulse is longer then the others
I think it could be some sorta sync thing but I’m probably wrong
AFP-200 on a 17 story BLDG?? Holy shit lmao.
I was SHOCKED when I saw it. Makes absolutely no sense
@@Twentythree33 Im curious as to how they even pulled that off. LOL.
Cutting corners I'm assuming @@YourLocalFireAlarmTech
Motor bells nice!
This system is just cool as a viewer from the UK it’s interesting to me to see other countries fire alarms, also just another question why was their no evac message
I wondered that myself. Lots of buildings in Canada have voice capable systems without a message. I'm thinking because this is a healthcare facility, they opted to just make live code red announcements over the system, which is pretty standard for healthcare facilities in my area.
Nice 2 stage system that’s just awesome plus how long does the system take to go into full alarm
It's a very nice system! This one has a 5 minute timer, which is pretty standard.
@@Twentythree33 i also noticed there was a keyswitch on the pull station if i'm correct would that be for full alarm
You'd be correct!
That's correct yes.
Canadian systems are awesome really like seeing systems with the bells classic in Canada
Sound like kone series 220 alarm
Thats a strange little panel right there
Of the 😅😮
Sped mounting.
New subscriber here! Love this panel. It’s in my grandparents apartment building and they run it and they do the drills, and this panel is INCREDIBLY GOOD when in use! It’s insane
Hey! Thanks so much and welcome! These panels are very good for smaller buildings. They're so simple that not much can go wrong. Only issue I run into with these in the field is the acknowledge and reset switches. One building I inspected has a broken acknowledge switch and it beeps randomly.
