Series creators and executive producers David Lynch and Mark Frost will write and produce all nine episodes of the limited series, and Lynch will direct every episode. Set in the present day, TWIN PEAKS will continue the lore of the original series, providing long-awaited answers and a satisfying conclusion for the series’ passionate fan base.

This is too obvious, Twin Peaks doesn't have to throw moodiness in your face. This is more first season of True Detective. I like both shows, its a mix a both styles.
Might just be me, but it has a slight Silent Hill vibe to it. Looks pretty interesting.

This is quite eerie we saw twins in cape town and in 92 went to the scene in north bend near seatle with my wife and 2 years old son. Now big lad working in London. 25 years later CAN'T WAIT to see see next version.. Must not get hope up too high

TheDoctorwho747 Thanks! Exited for the 3rd season. I'm going to rewatch the first two and the movie before the third begins. Also ordered the book from Mark Frost.
TheFSheldon P1 I'm nearly done with the book, just do u know it's not s novel, it's written as a dossier for the FBI and there is a story that jumps around but it's all told in newspaper articles, journal entries, personal notes, thoughts on what it is, once u see it u will know what I mean. I don't know about u but reading a paragraph of something followed by having to read the side notes annoys me which is why I got the audiobook
TheFSheldon P2 don't get me wrong it is very interesting but not what they said it would be which was a novel bridging the 25 year gap about what's happened with the characters since than, yes eventually it mentions some characters what happened after the finale plus some backstories on others but that is a small percentage of the book, So yeah the audiobook has several of the cast reading different parts, the only thing u won't have is the visuals of what they are talking about but if u are familiar with the show u will be fine. Sign up for Audible for a month and use ur first Fred book I this one and than either keep the mbership or cancel it

No True Detective is very Twin Peaks. It came first.
lol I know that but I loved the tone of this video. Those kind of places in America where nothing grows in the right direction. Where you feel like there's something in the woods and the weeds watching you and you get a weird vibe from the locals.
David Lynch said about the first series that there was this undercurrent of a menace alive in the woods and it could be the woods themselves.
