At one point I misspoke and said I put a 250K resistor in the output cathode. I meant 250 ohms. Sorry about that.
Great sounding old Gal!!
Thank you for sharing your time with this beautiful old gal with the rest of us; it's appreciated.
What a fine sounding amp.
Agreed!
At 6:20, a famous Free lick!
You should build (me) one.
Noisy old wires. The copolymers used in the insulation become old, crystalized, and everything can become contaminated by all sorts of things. Many ferroelectric materials have no iron in them at all. Add any signals around it and it makes unwanted noises. I majored in semiconductor design, which was not a very good choice at the time, unless I lived in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, China, India... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piezoelectricity en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triboelectric_effect en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_dipole_moment en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyroelectricity en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferroelectricity
