Beautiful A cappella version of my favorite song by The Edsels. Cool Bobby B plays 2 A cappella songs each week on his Doo-Wop Stop show Sundays on Sirius/XM but never heard this version by The Edsels.😀💗👍
If there was a Mt. Rushmore for great Doo wop vocalists, George L. would be on that mountain. He had the sound. Real Doo wop vocalists know what I mean. Although most Doo wop chordal arrangements were based on four chords, George added Four Freshman chords that made his arrangements unique. But it was also his style of vibrato and that special undeniable vocal style that made him and those he sang with great. RIP George. You are already sorely missed.
I know thousands of songs since the early 50s but I’ve never heard this song before ever. Never heard of this group either. And I go way back to the Turbans,Valentines, The 3 Friends, The Pastels, The Cadets, The 4 Deuces, The G Clefs, The Clef Tones, The Casuals etc.😎
Rest in peace George. I remember him playing some of their recordings for me many years ago at their house. Can anyone put the year in the video title? Thanks!
