Iga is such a breath of fresh air. What strikes me most about her is her normalcy in a decidely abnormal world of tennis that she inhabits. Smart, thoughtful, unaffected, a delightful goofball at times. Love her integrity. She is kind to fans without kissing up to them. As for her talent, well, I just might run out of superlatives. Yeah, 'for sure'. Her English is fine, but she seems nervous and uncomfortable a lot in interviews. But many times it's right after a match when you're trying to just decompress and come down from the mental focus you have to maintain like a machine as it's just you out there w/o teammates on the court to relieve pressure.
Being an introvert doesn't mean you don't like applause and the spotlight. Iga is quite an outspoken person. She speaks Polish quickly and fluently, and is witty and sarcastic. In English, during interviews, her thoughts are racing faster than her tongue can keep up, or she is tired. What can you say original for the hundredth time? You simply become Iga You Know Świątek, Aryna Atmosphere Sabalenka and Elena Tough Battle Rybakina.
