Hi Subhajit if you are interested in development than I would suggest you to start doing development in testing pay scale is lesser compared to developer.if your role at company is of testing so you can learn side by side any technology and make a switch.

Yes from wave 13 they have revised the salary package to 9.5 and for other waves it would increase till this year end and how much time it would take can't tell accurately

The more you will practice on this platform like hackerrank,leetcode you will be used to of writing most optimised code and by the time you would be appearing for real test all your hidden test cases would be passed if not just revisit your thought process that helps you generate test cases before writing code that all comes with practice only.
Good Afternoon Kajal! Hope you are doing well. I have one doubt regarding PP (Power Programmer). My stream is Big Data and i am really interested in it but i want to crack PP. For this i will have to prepare JAVA(or any one language) and DSA. Definitely it will take around 6+ months for me who is from Mechanical Background. Lets say i get selected in it and choose Big Data in training of PP. Now my doubt is, will this JAVA and DSA will help me in training of Big data or it will only help me only getting selected in PP? My concern is lets say someone prepared JAVA and DSA, and he got selected then chose JAVA MS then most probably it could happen that previous 6 months preparation is gonna help him in training as well as in clearing internal certifications but for me who choose Big Data in training and if previous 6 months preparation is not helping me out (bcz that is different(JAVA & DSA) according to my perception) then it might be tough to catch things and cracking those certifications. (It might be the case they will teach high level things in training bcz its a PP training and i have knowledge about Big Data at the level of Stream Training only) What to do in this case? (I might be wrong in my perception please give some clarity)
Hi look training won't be tough as I already mentioned training is just for to get the project only and there is not a single one who ever failed to get a project because the for project interview they will ask most asked big data questions only at the end of the day listen you need to be very clear if you don't want to go through dsa that will take you 6 months prep than study big data in parallel and work on your skills and then take switch at the end it's your call if I would have been at your side then I would have probably studied big data by my own and would have look for switch that will be giving be more package than pp salary
What I can say is irrespective of what you are interested in , DSA and algorithms is a common ground nowadays in all the streams, also once you enter into the unit...there are peers that are always willing to help and guide you... cheers :)

No it's won't affect just prepare for interviews only certification won't matter much If you will be able to get through project interviews

Yes from wave 13 they have revised the salary package to 9.5 and for other waves it would increase till this year end and how much time it would take can't tell accurately

Currently infosys accepting applications for sp and DSE role .could you please tell me about how much time it takes to complete the process of taking exams , interview round and to release ofer later if anyone got selected.
Thankyou Diwakar, the entire process takes time as there will be online test, interview, training so it can be stretched to 8 months and more sometimes no one can tell you about the accurate timelines because depends upon batches

What's your joining date and when you applied last ?For power Programmer dsa is important other than that you can focus on the technology you were trained in infosys they will be focusing more on this only and you can look into DBMS ,OS, CN but the probability of asking questions from this will be very less

2.After joining date as mentioned on offer letter you can apply for this exam

The more you will practice on this platform like hackerrank,leetcode you will be used to of writing most optimised code and by the time you would be appearing for real test all your hidden test cases would be passed if not just revisit your thought process that helps you generate test cases before writing code that all comes with practice only.

Good Afternoon Kajal! Hope you are doing well.
I have one doubt regarding PP (Power Programmer). My stream is Big Data and i am really interested in it but i want to crack PP. For this i will have to prepare JAVA(or any one language) and DSA. Definitely it will take around 6+ months for me who is from Mechanical Background.
Lets say i get selected in it and choose Big Data in training of PP. Now my doubt is, will this JAVA and DSA will help me in training of Big data or it will only help me only getting selected in PP?
My concern is lets say someone prepared JAVA and DSA, and he got selected then chose JAVA MS then most probably it could happen that previous 6 months preparation is gonna help him in training as well as in clearing internal certifications but for me who choose Big Data in training and if previous 6 months preparation is not helping me out (bcz that is different(JAVA & DSA) according to my perception) then it might be tough to catch things and cracking those certifications. (It might be the case they will teach high level things in training bcz its a PP training and i have knowledge about Big Data at the level of Stream Training only) What to do in this case? (I might be wrong in my perception please give some clarity)
Hi look training won't be tough as I already mentioned training is just for to get the project only and there is not a single one who ever failed to get a project because the for project interview they will ask most asked big data questions only at the end of the day listen you need to be very clear if you don't want to go through dsa that will take you 6 months prep than study big data in parallel and work on your skills and then take switch at the end it's your call if I would have been at your side then I would have probably studied big data by my own and would have look for switch that will be giving be more package than pp salary
What I can say is irrespective of what you are interested in , DSA and algorithms is a common ground nowadays in all the streams, also once you enter into the unit...there are peers that are always willing to help and guide you... cheers :)

If you are planning for switch you can as role change through bridge will take 1 year they provide same as that to fresher ie.9.5

Start practicing code of these topics from any online platform like hackerrank, leetcode
than step by step start exploring other topics of dsa than with practice you are good to go.

company name and he has 0years experience. What should he do now . Is he eligible to give interview or not. Will u please suggest me.
