We don’t realise just how lucky we are with “modern conveniences”! I’m realising you need to be a jack of all traders to live in Alaska! The buck literally stops with you. That’s a lot of pressure on your shoulders to always get it right! I have even more admiration for you both, you must both be fountains of knowledge, having had to do your research and practical experience. Great job organising the plumbing. You now have the luxury of a flushing toilet! Well deserved! ❤
That Subscription nonsense happens to me here and on other sites! It's quite frustrating. We'll congrats on getting water through the house. 🎉 The pipes look neat and clean. Great job! 👍 Water running through the house awesome... flushing your toilet without a bucket..priceless! Lol God Bless. 🙏 ❤ Much love from Rhode Island, Terry
Don't know what that means but just letting them know what I have learned about from what I have gone through & another one is if you have a well u don't want to plow snow off the line running from well to house cuz at some point if u do it will freeze 🥶 god luck and god bless
Good morning! Congratulations on the running water in the sink and toilet 🚽 The blessings in life we all take for granted 😉 My mom wrote a nice letter about her memory's of having to carry water from a spring and having an outhouse and expressing those were the good old days 😉 😅 Enjoy your weekend! God Bless ❤
Hey since you have not connected the hot lines yet consider one hot line to carry the hot water and not multiple lines feeding off that at the location of use how you are designing it, . If you flip on the hot to the sink in your bathroom, then start the shower or tub, now a second feed line has to fill up with hot water. That creates extra demand on the hot water tank. It does not matter with cold. You fill them all and it just waits for demand. Hot water has to be replenished with hot which can only come from the hot water tack.
I remember hearing this wasn’t your first rodeo on houses on one video. I think Von said you did renovating before maybe another home? Is that true? You both make plumbing look so easy when ev1 on utube cries over plumbing. When you do have difficulties you act positive & move on! You are both Great! I find your videos so uplifting & your Love & respect for each other is so wonderful to see!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
I have never built a house from the ground up but have renovation experience. I try to look at everything as a problem that has a solution. We make mistake and move keep moving forward.😊
We did a PEX manifold in our house and you’re going to love it. Never have had pressure problems, freezing, sweating, or leaking. We didn’t have water for a year because our well went dry then the pump burned out so the 5 gal water haul to fill toilets gets old fast.
Definitely appreciate that you share these experiences with us ! And that you share that you’re a regular guy that’s willing to try and has the outlook that you can do it ! Like so many of us do ! Mistakes, redos and crap … I’m over my head happen but it’s all experience and we learn from it ! Take care guys
Having your water heater so far away from your manifold means you will have to let the water run for quite a while to get hot water to your taps. I learned that the hard way.
I’ve learned that there are positive and negatives with everything you do in plumbing. There doesn’t seem to be any perfect solution for any situation.
I had to laugh! We just had a water leak at our manifold, cut open a wall to repair, and replacing some bad fixtures. Well water here in Texas is hard and full of minerals. Great plumbing work guys, enjoy the toilet!
I know so very little about plumbing, but I figure if I can flush my toilet, it must be good! Love burbot, the fresh water lobster! I loved to use it in both salads and lobster rolls. Thanks for sharing. Does Kobe (sp.?) miss her buddy? See you soon!
Looks easier then the other method. Make sure you label, so if in the future you need to shut one down you dont have to waste time figuring out what is what.
Hey guys. The video today was meant for me. I'm working on the plumbing in my skoolie, converted bus. I only have a bathroom shower and sink, my kitchen sink, and the propane water heater. I'll be using the trunk and branch. But I wasn't sure which one to use, clamp rings or push-to-connect connectors, the Shark Bite brand. I'm not sure I can use the crimpers to tighten the clamps. Anyway, thanks, Ryan. You inspired me to get to work on the bus. I need to get up to check out your place. Haha, Love you guys. Be safe
😊 thanks for sharing we got to take the good with the bad LOL and then we just keep moving forward 😊👍 I really enjoy your videos And you two were really cute brushing your teeth together in the end 😆💜 See you next time sending love and support from Florida 🌺💫💫💫
You went from an outdoor toilet to carrying water in a bucket to running water for an indoor toilet. Amazing progress. I'm looking forward to seeing the system when it's finished. Good job. I love that you say the crawl space when standing straight up in your basement. O well!
Awesome job with the piping! I would only add one thing, an on/off ball valve into the supply line before the filters. (Unless I missed it somewhere) I'm old, it's entirely possible...lol 😂😅 Love ya'll ❤️
Yes most older toilets take 5 gallons to flush that is a very lot of water that's why they came up with the two buttons on the top one for P and one for poop I don't have to conserve water because I'm on city water but still it bothers me so I don't flush the toilet when it's just me at home because I pee a lot and I find it a lot of wasted water or I just pee outside But where you are I wouldn't advise peeing outside in the winter it might hurt if you get my meaning and like they say don't eat yellow snow it would be like a frozen fountain outside if you get my meaning
Thanks for sharing. The water lines look good. I would suggest to put several valves before and/or after connections to things. That way it is easy to work on stuff. Too bad for the fishing. Still better than not fishing.
Your filter system probably should have been after the pressure tank. If the filters ever plug up the pressure switch will turn on but not let water through and won’t build pressure. Then your pump will continuously run and burn up from over heating. Just an fyi, we own a domestic well drilling and pump service.
Fantastic job on getting the water lines all arranged. So great that you got so much done. Good for you for not getting stalled because of a part problem. Thank you sharing, excited for you both. So happy to see this new episode.
I helped a friend with basically the same system but he put shut off valves about a foot before and after the water heater just in case the heater needs to be serviced. Keep up the good work!!
Nice Job on the plumbing it's looking great it's to bad about the break on the plumbing valves. And please try and wear safety glasses when you using your grinder it's not a nice to see a eye come out I have not nice. Give him hell Von when he is the wearing them 😊
I wouldn't use that plastic for fittings or u will have broken fittings all the time. & Ur filters I'd put up side down or some point they will be broke as well .you want to make a fast draining system so if you have to go or there is no heat u have no problems but that's what I have learned liven in cold temperatures & haven running water
Running water! Woohoo! Will you have a regular clothes dryer? I settled for a small 120v dryer. Cheers and have a blessed weekend. Burbot looks like what l have in my pond a Catfish.
Our plan is to have a normal washer and dryer. We are attempting to set this house up completely off grid but with all of the modern conveniences. We’ll see how it works out.😁
Looking good. Yes inspirational and informative. Thanks. Was wondering about freezing. I know the pex pipe can take the cold But what about the drain. Is it heated or deep enough it doesn’t freeze. I don’t remember what you said when you put in the crib. Thanks. Fishing looks fun even if not a lot of success.
Our crawl space stays at about 45F-50F at all times. I do t have to worry about freezing water lines. Our waste drain line is burried deep and boxed in with foam.
Hello i have 2 questions for Ryan what happened to your dog Kane? And second question what happened to lady who got injured on last caribou hunt one with neck injury from Tok ? Than you
Ryan, question for you. We have our filters in front of the pressure tanks and have had two different plumbers tell me I'm going to burn up our well pump. Why are you putting yours in front of the tank, and what's your thoughts of the plumper telling me I should move our filter to after the tank? Thanks
My thought is that I’d rather filter out any garbage before the pressure tank so the pressure tank lasts longer. After seeing the filters, I can’t imagine that stuff would be good for the pressure tank.
I believe if you comment then they comment then you comment again they don't get a notification for that comment. You should put a reference to the original comment on the main area and then comment again there. Hope that helped. 🙏

Take a marker and write on that top blue water line into the manifold “toilet”. That way you will instantly know which is which.
That Subscription nonsense happens to me here and on other sites! It's quite frustrating. We'll congrats on getting water through the house. 🎉 The pipes look neat and clean. Great job! 👍 Water running through the house awesome... flushing your toilet without a bucket..priceless! Lol

Yay! A working toilet, sink and water to the fridge! I'm over the moon for you two 💜🐸
Love it!!😁

So freaking glad for you to have water in the toilet

I believe fishing is like treasure hunt. Sometimes you get something
I agree😁
That manifold idea is fantastic, sure saves a lot of little shutoff valves all over the house. What luxury...a running toilet. Congrats Ryan & Von.
Great watching my favorite couple again, water 💦 to toilet 🚽 have a wonderful week ❤️

Well said😊
Congratulations on getting cold water to the toilets and sinks!!
After a power vacuum of two years, a new king ascends the throne! 😊
😂😂

I’ve learned that there are positive and negatives with everything you do in plumbing. There doesn’t seem to be any perfect solution for any situation.
Hurray!!! No more buckets!!!! Nice progress

Kobuk has definitely been sticking a lot closer to us now that Otter is gone.
I’ve learned so many things from your channel. Thank you.
Glad to hear it!😊
Beautiful dog. That shot near the beginning is wonderful.
Kobuk is a real sweetie ❤️
Modern indoor plumbing. I was 12 years old when we got an indoor toilet. Modern conveniences are soooooo nice.
Looks easier then the other method. Make sure you label, so if in the future you need to shut one down you dont have to waste time figuring out what is what.

I just purchased two valves today. One before the filters and one after the pressure tank.
@wildwoodoffgridalaska Sounds like a plan, that way you can change/clean filters better without shutting it down.
Nice to see things getting done with adding water system! 🎉🎉😊 yay a working toilet and sink!!
You two are wonderful. Love your videos. You are showing how important it is to be organized. Thank you both!
Thank you so much!
Congrats on the running water. 😊
Thanks for sharing. The water lines look good. I would suggest to put several valves before and/or after connections to things. That way it is easy to work on stuff. Too bad for the fishing. Still better than not fishing.
That the purpose of the manifold. Each sink/toilet has a shutoff valve at the manifold allowing me to isolate each individual line.
Your filter system probably should have been after the pressure tank. If the filters ever plug up the pressure switch will turn on but not let water through and won’t build pressure. Then your pump will continuously run and burn up from over heating. Just an fyi, we own a domestic well drilling and pump service.
My thought is I wouldn’t want all of the stuff going into my pressure tank.
Love your crawl space - you can stand up! Awesome system and really like the three filter set up👍. Must be great to not schlep the buckets 😅
Thanks! 👍
You guys are amazing! The build is beautiful all coming together ❤❤
Thank you so much!!
Ryan your videos are very inspiring, please keep them coming. I learn something every time. Thank you!!
Glad you like them!😊
What a great accomplishment.
I am so excited for yall!!! This is huge! I was remembering back to when yall built the outhouse lol!!! Watching this has been so much fun!!

AWESOME!!!!! RUNNING WATER IN THE HOUSE!!!!! Party Time!!!!!
Very happy for you guys, nothing like running water.
Yeah you! Happy dance! Nice work
Thank you! 😁
Yay!!! No more filling toilets lol . Seriously though, those 5 gallon buckets full of water do get heavy.
Yes they do😁
So exciting sorry your manifold was broken
Always good to see watertight in plumbing. CG Damagecontrolman when the school was in NY. Alpha 110!
Semper Paratus😊
Congratulations! It IS NICE to do common activities with water :)
I was doing the happy dance for you today ,what a milestone.
😁😁
So excited for you, it's been a journey to get this far. You are both awesome
Awesome vid Ryan and Von , thank you for bringing us along .
Great video! I love how organized and clean all the plumbing pipes are done. Good job!

Right on guys looking great 👍
Congratulations on getting water running 👏👏👏👏👏✌️🇺🇸
I helped a friend with basically the same system but he put shut off valves about a foot before and after the water heater just in case the heater needs to be serviced. Keep up the good work!!
When we install our water heater we’ll be doing the same. 😊
I always love to see your videos. ❤
Yay!! Enjoy 😊
great job this week it was nice to see you out fishing and taking time for your self see you next week
You need clips so the pipes Don’t dang. ❤ for the white pipes

Nice Job on the plumbing it's looking great it's to bad about the break on the plumbing valves. And please try and wear safety glasses when you using your grinder it's not a nice to see a eye come out I have not nice. Give him hell Von when he is the wearing them 😊
Never heard of a spindown filter. Time to go do some research.
well I don't what going on with RUclips but I am still subscribed to you and i am glad to see you videos

Great video guys
Congrats on the water

I would take manifold back to Home Depot. you pretty much can return anything back to Home Depot.
Good morning, Wild woodfamily. I got unsubscribed as well. Greetings from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Glad you’re back.😊
Congratulations 🎉
Running water! Woohoo! Will you have a regular clothes dryer? I settled for a small 120v dryer.

Hello i have 2 questions for Ryan what happened to your dog Kane? And second question what happened to lady who got injured on last caribou hunt one with neck injury from Tok ? Than you
Kane was my brothers dog and he is now living in NM. The lady has since recovered after good my through emergency neck surgery.
I love it i am at work and I turn your old videos in background of my screen like live screen saver
How frustrating to have that manifold cracked.
Ryan, question for you. We have our filters in front of the pressure tanks and have had two different plumbers tell me I'm going to burn up our well pump. Sorry you didn’t get more fish.
Is there much sediment in tok water?
We have hard water and some areas closer to the rivers have silt. Our well is mostly just hard water.
❤💯✌
hey you are doing get job and now water the master and some sink so it a good day
🇳🇴👍👍👌
Getting a little too domesticated these days. Never seen someone so excited about water. Lol
my answer after your answer does not remain , do you know way that is ? or is that because i don't contribute ?
I believe if you comment then they comment then you comment again they don't get a notification for that comment. You should put a reference to the original comment on the main area and then comment again there. Hope that helped. 🙏
Not sure what’s going on.
