    We don’t realise just how lucky we are with “modern conveniences”! I’m realising you need to be a jack of all traders to live in Alaska! The buck literally stops with you. That’s a lot of pressure on your shoulders to always get it right! I have even more admiration for you both, you must both be fountains of knowledge, having had to do your research and practical experience. Great job organising the plumbing. You now have the luxury of a flushing toilet! Well deserved! ❤

    Take a marker and write on that top blue water line into the manifold “toilet”. That way you will instantly know which is which.

    That Subscription nonsense happens to me here and on other sites! It's quite frustrating. We'll congrats on getting water through the house. 🎉 The pipes look neat and clean. Great job! 👍 Water running through the house awesome... flushing your toilet without a bucket..priceless! Lol
    God Bless. 🙏 ❤

    Good morning! Congratulations on the running water in the sink and toilet 🚽 The blessings in life we all take for granted 😉 My mom wrote a nice letter about her memory's of having to carry water from a spring and having an outhouse and expressing those were the good old days 😉 😅 Enjoy your weekend! God Bless ❤

  • @mainelife4268
    @mainelife4268 8 месяцев назад

    Hey since you have not connected the hot lines yet consider one hot line to carry the hot water and not multiple lines feeding off that at the location of use how you are designing it, . If you flip on the hot to the sink in your bathroom, then start the shower or tub, now a second feed line has to fill up with hot water. That creates extra demand on the hot water tank. It does not matter with cold. You fill them all and it just waits for demand. Hot water has to be replenished with hot which can only come from the hot water tack.

    I remember hearing this wasn’t your first rodeo on houses on one video. I think Von said you did renovating before maybe another home? Is that true? You both make plumbing look so easy when ev1 on utube cries over plumbing. When you do have difficulties you act positive & move on! You are both Great! I find your videos so uplifting & your Love & respect for each other is so wonderful to see!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s

    We did a PEX manifold in our house and you’re going to love it. Never have had pressure problems, freezing, sweating, or leaking. We didn’t have water for a year because our well went dry then the pump burned out so the 5 gal water haul to fill toilets gets old fast.

    Having your water heater so far away from your manifold means you will have to let the water run for quite a while to get hot water to your taps. I learned that the hard way.

    Hey guys. The video today was meant for me. I'm working on the plumbing in my skoolie, converted bus. I only have a bathroom shower and sink, my kitchen sink, and the propane water heater. I'll be using the trunk and branch. But I wasn't sure which one to use, clamp rings or push-to-connect connectors, the Shark Bite brand. I'm not sure I can use the crimpers to tighten the clamps. Anyway, thanks, Ryan. You inspired me to get to work on the bus. I need to get up to check out your place. Haha, Love you guys. Be safe

    Yes most older toilets take 5 gallons to flush that is a very lot of water that's why they came up with the two buttons on the top one for P and one for poop I don't have to conserve water because I'm on city water but still it bothers me so I don't flush the toilet when it's just me at home because I pee a lot and I find it a lot of wasted water or I just pee outside But where you are I wouldn't advise peeing outside in the winter it might hurt if you get my meaning and like they say don't eat yellow snow it would be like a frozen fountain outside if you get my meaning

      That the purpose of the manifold. Each sink/toilet has a shutoff valve at the manifold allowing me to isolate each individual line.

  • @joyceforsmann8445
    @joyceforsmann8445 8 месяцев назад

    Your filter system probably should have been after the pressure tank. If the filters ever plug up the pressure switch will turn on but not let water through and won’t build pressure. Then your pump will continuously run and burn up from over heating. Just an fyi, we own a domestic well drilling and pump service.

    • @wildwoodoffgridalaska
      @wildwoodoffgridalaska  8 месяцев назад

      My thought is I wouldn’t want all of the stuff going into my pressure tank.

    Ryan, question for you. We have our filters in front of the pressure tanks and have had two different plumbers tell me I'm going to burn up our well pump. • @wildwoodoffgridalaska
      @wildwoodoffgridalaska  8 месяцев назад +3

      My thought is that I’d rather filter out any garbage before the pressure tank so the pressure tank lasts longer. After seeing the filters, I can’t imagine that stuff would be good for the pressure tank.
