I'm only familiar with green combines ... I now have the opportunity to purchase a Case IH 1644 combine ... Are they any good ? And are there specific things to watch out for before buying one ?
considering this is American made, it is surprising he doesn't say things like "don't sit in the header when you turn on the machine" or warn about the fact the sharp knives are sharp
1600 series didn't debut until 1986. The early model number decals so large like on this 1620 remained as long as International engines, I believe. They switched to CDC/Cummins engines in April 1989. So if I am right about the number decals, and if this was a brand new machine when the video was made, then it could be 1986-89. When did the 1020 head replace the 820 though? I think they were concurrent with the 1600 series intro, but I'm not sure, it might have been a year or so later.
Really neat and still useful to this day. The modern midrange case combines really haven’t changed a lot. Still lots of good info here.
I grew up running a 1460. I was pretty young then so I don't remember much but this video brought back some memories
I run 1440and 1460 IH combines basically same machine. I wish I had that shinny machine there now a days.

thank you for saving this films
Do you have the video where Case IH Compares the 1680 combine and John Deere 9600 combine? If so could you please post it?
Great video. What is acceptable seed lost out the back of a case 1667. 6 m header. Yielding 6.5 mt per ha.

Where on earth are you finding this stuff? Have you been rescuing and resurrecting Vhs dealer resources and customer instruction video.
Just some old VHS tapes I’ve been finding and digitizing
@@Blazer-cr5ci Appreciate these videos of awesome red combines, cheers from Australia mate.

@@TonyM132 so probably early 86 or mid 86 ?
@@Ihfarmer23 Could be 1986, but I haven't noticed any reason it couldn't just as well be 1987-89. What makes you think it is earlier than '87?
