Asked for my Mum and Dad to get me this for Xmas! Would it work by plugging the USB cable into a Samsung plug (what you charge Samsung tablets etc up with)?
You can see by the video, that the on /off / standby knob needs the whole hand to operate. You can't just pop it with one digit on the button as it needs pressure. It needs a firm pressure hold (the guy in demo has a big enough hand to hold it and reach round to use his thumb). I regret buying this radio because I need to pick the ruddy thing up to operate it with both hands and therefore it has to be in a handy position in the kitchen which in turn, doesn't receive a signal. It doesn't pick up Scala or Solar. It's a bit useless. With an old radio I could pop it on or off with a flick as I pass, this one is an attention seeker. The 'Manual' that comes with it useless too. I've had the radio a couple of years and it still irritates me.🤨
Unfortunately the battery compartment isn't mentioned in the manual, so I don't think the batteries will be charged. Pure do have some radios which take their own rechargeable ChargePAK batteries though. If you need a rechargeable radio Majority and Sony both have models with a built-in battery, but I couldn't find a radio which will charge AA batteries. Thanks for the comment.
The screen on this is a total waste. Who needs it when listening to radio? Nobody is what. Just because of the colored high res screen, you are going to pay an arm and a leg for it.

Thank you for your review and the feedback!
Odd question I know, but how bright is the standby screen with the larger clock? Wondering for bedside use...
Can we connect this from the tv or computer to be used as speakers? Thanks
good review

Hey mate, do rechargable batteries charge in the back if plugged in?

The Roberts play 20 recharges 4 AA batteries and comes with a better charger plug however they are over twice the price.
On which countries can this radio de used ??
You can see the availability and more details of DAB in each country at www.worlddab.org/countries
I cannot connect my mobile phone through bluetooth since the pure radio is invisibile
Interesting that it's a mono speaker. I prefer stereo.
Now £50 on Amazon. Welcome to 2024.
£26 currently although its the 'One2' and they've dropped the colour lcd screen for a basic monochrome 2 line display
Nice jam.
меньше пиздеть надо, даже звук радио не дал послушать!
