  • A video discussion the pros and cons for the upcoming Larq PureVis 2 water bottle.
    Quick Update:
I forgot to include 2 additional pros relating to the LED ring around the lid of the bottle and hydration tracking. A breathing white LED light occurs after the bottle has recording a tracked measurement for how much water you just drank. This usually occurs one you close the lid and place the bottle on a flat level surface again. Then, a flashing white LED light means that it is reminding you to take a drink. This is helpful for me to remember if I haven’t drank water.

fantastic video by the way. Also, how do you find the weight of it? You just earned yourself a new subscriber :)

I have found the weight to not be a problem at all for me. Although, I’ve always used heavier more insulated water bottles. Thanks for the kind words and the sub. Definitely have more videos on the way relating this product specifically.

Also, can you clean the water bottle itself in the dishwasher? I know on the website they say soapy water... but they only explicitly say to not put the cap in the dishwasher... so... can the bottle itself without the cap be cleaned in the dishwasher then?

I haven’t tried to do so but I think it would be fine in the dishwasher without the cap. The real tech is in the cap itself and I’ve just done a soapy water wash (remove filter pod). I’d be more concerned about the finish over time with powerful dishwasher chemicals possibly eroding the bottle itself.

The original bottle was able to - I have two sizes of the original.
Just dry completely and it’s great. I only ever really have to give it a scrub once every few weeks - if not using the dishwasher I’ll just give it a quick rinse or use a tiny bit of dish soap on a bottle brush is more than enough to clean it. And you can use a straw cleaning brush to clean the lid and handwashing it if needed.
But I’ve done a two week long roadtrip without washing with soap, the uv filter is great for preventing anything yucky.

what is the charging time? Can you charge it with any sort of fast charging power bricks? My old UVC water bottle needed a very specific slow USB 2.0 charger

I will double check on that charging time as I just randomly charged it one night. I’ve not tried any specific fast charging brick. However, I haven’t used the USB-C cord they included in the box yet and it charges fine for me just using random USB-C cords I have laying around my house.

@@robertdumitrescu4423 Not yet but as soon as I can run a test myself I will. My bottle is on 64% right now so it might be awhile. The Larq customer support just said “should take a few hours”. Which doesn’t mean much to me.

I used their original one and it worked fine with multiple different chargers I had around the house. Hopefully the same with this one.
