I grew up watching Iron Mike play, with my Dad, whenever they were on TV. I was too small to play organized ball, but I wanted to be Mike because of his intensity! That press conference he gave had me ready to run through a wall afterward! And I was so happy when Vernon had that tearful sideline moment with Mike later. That's when you know a man is locked in and sold out on the hard work necessary to be great!!!
It's five (5) inches 🤡 . . . I'm 6' and I interviewed both in college and Davis towered over me (a tight end, kid) and Mike was no where near my height (a linebacker, child)! 5' 10" at best, next time do some Googling! But hey, to you maybe All Blacks Look Alike 👀! #🛑it
@@NoNo-ks4gghave you seen how much taller they make Tom Cruise in movies? It’s more than possible if they make a 5’6 guy look like a Greek god they can make someone else look shorter
I hear you. I'm an audio engineer, and those Shure SM7's have a very tight polar pattern. Basically, it's very easy to lose the volume simply by turning the head just a bit. They are not meant to capture a wide area of sound. They should switch to clip on mics.
Come on, get real...Singletary was just following the coaching style he played with...stand up and be accountable. Vernon was punk turning into a new man
That's exactly what he just said here, and it's consistent with what he's said throughout the years. Even though Mike was thrown under the bus for the ineptitude of the 49ers organization at the time, Vernon constantly gave him credit for the impact he made on his career. If you look at the portrayal people had of Mike as a coach throughout the years, you'd think they were talking about Jim Tomsula.
This pod is single handedly making football media better. So many u told stories and callbacks from these players. So fun to watch.
Man, Vernon Davis just became one of my favorite athletes. What incredible character he has.
“Can’t win with em, can’t do it”
Came here for this comment lol

I remember watching that press conference that week and who knew it would be an NFL historical moment. Mike meant business.
He might have meant it but the man had no understanding of how to be a head coach.
Same lol
Vernon Davis should play Mike Singletary in a movie about Mike Singletary.
He's WAY too tall . . .
@@NoNo-ks4gg He's 3 inches taller, I don't think that's a big enough difference to matter in a movie.

Nice to see you hav/had the self actualization to reach this point w the situation...
I still say "can't do it" in the Singletary voice regularly after all these years.
I truly thought I was the only one and I think I’m the only one who ever gets it
People forget how good Vernon Davis was all around
His percentage of receptions per target was always awful. And wasn’t much of a blocker.
Props to Vernon for not holding a grudge
Holding a grudge!? 😂 this saved his career
does the audio/video go out of sync for anyone else? around the 2:00 mark

Crazy thing is it’s not out of sync if you just keep watching it’s HELLA trippy

He said/admitted as much in a separate interview
