Without these videos the whole of 1960s sports car renovation would be a great deal poorer. Thanks for all of your effort to share you experience and expertise with us. Best wishes to all of the Rusty Beauty family for a pleasant and peaceful New Year!
Hi Elin it was fascinating to watch you reassemble that transmission but I’m inclined to say I’m going to be happy to accept the fact that I will never reach your heady heights of understanding. Warm wishes to you and your whole family for the season and for a happy and prosperous new year. 🙏🇬🇧
Interesting how you made the shaft fit within the spec you needed to assemble the transmission.good little video.contact on doing what you do best.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Tig takes some practice Elin but you'll love working the patch panels you Tigged a lot more than migged. Love your videos. Always get something out of them. Thanks.
OMG. I am really worried. Back in the day about thirty years ago I serviced my transmission. All the needle bearings fell out of the cluster. I was in a panic. How was I going to get them all back in there and hold them in place. Well thick grease did a good job and I had a wood dowel the same diameter as the shaft. But for the life of me I don’t remember any thrust washers whatsoever at the end of the two shafts. I must have done something right. The transmission still works fine. Great Video Elin!
Hi Elin, hope all is well there.Just thought here, turn a washer from bronze and mc to required thickness add oil retaining detail and shape as required 👍
you have a lathe so why not machine up a custom washer of the correct thickness from bearing bronze or cast iron bar in the alternative braze the face new larger to increase its thickness then face it on the lathe and file a channel for oil

WOW! An awful lot of "do-over" jobs on that little GT6. You can probably do a transmission rebuild blind folded the next time.
Not a good idea to put the power and torque of a 2500 six through a little GT6 / Vitesse gearbox !
2 Litre.

Hi Elin, please get rid of that awful A.I. image of the TR6, it is horrible and incorrect. Thank You.
I like it.
