Mama's 2022 singing 4th of July invite

At first you were afraid, You were petrified
Kept thinking fireworks and sparklers make you want to hide
But then we spent the past few nights thinking of words to write this song
It's somewhat long
To invite you all along
And so it's back
Our fireworks show
You'll just walk down to our front yard-
You don't have nowhere else to go!
It will take place July the 3rd
It's so much fun, it is adsurd
And don't you think for just one second, you'll be bored with what occurs.

And bring a side dish
Please make it yummy and summery!
...We'll try our hardest not to hurt you with debris
At 5:30
We will grill some burgers and poultry!
Don't say "not I", you will survive!
Oh and maybe we could play some corn hole after you arrive
We'll start the show at half past 8
Don't worry friend's, it will be great!

It took all the dough we had to fund our show this year

And I spent oh so many hours browsing all those pretty cakes
I almost cried
But now we'll look up to the sky and we will see them
