@@MyDriftingDesk he is! it went away after exactly one week, and he has made full recovery! However, when you're in the midst of it, it's so scary!! specially that I didn't know what it was.
Aww no, poor puppo! I'm glad that she's doing better now, and thank you for keeping us updating on her being sick! We all love her so much (of course not as much as her mommy and daddy) and are so grateful for any and all updates!
related to this so much! my little puppy has kennel cough and i was also up all night making sure she was breathing lol. we're on day 4 of kennel cough, wish us luck! and good sleep lol. thanks for making this video
I totally understand everything you feel! For a month straight, when she was 5 months old, my puppy had CONSTANT health issues. She had coccidia, then we got over that and I thought she had pink eye (luckily she didn’t but she did get eye drops), and then she had diarrhea for two weeks straight from allergies. It was a complete month of hell and worry. So glad that Freya is better and it was nothing more serious!
I wanted to say thank you because I can recognized all that feelings, so worrierd, frustrated, happy, frustrated again hahaha this is crazy. My puppy got sick and I was just soooooooo worried and my boyfriend was like... yes, lets take a look and I was crying and huging him like "please dont let me". Sometimes I feel that I cannot deal with all this emotions, but then he is sometimes getting better and giving just an amazing happines to enjoy my time with him, they make our days completly. THANK YOU Marissa.
My Aussie girl started coughing two days ago, I'm super worried, but I'll take her to the vet as soon as possible... Been giving her warm water with a bit of honey, it helps her a lot as I type this, she's sleeping belly up by my side on my bed 🥰 Thanks for documenting this!
Just got my wisdom teeth out today and i’ve been holding out on watching my fav vloggers videos for when i’m sitting in bed all day... I feel you Freya lol
My dog just caught that couple days ago 8/2/2023, but I believe my vet was more knowledgeable. He gave mine a shot for coughing at his office which stopped the coughing instantly, also gave her 2 different antibiotics and 2 different cough suppressants medications. I know it is an old video ❤glad she is good now. I would go to a different vet if ever caught it again.

OMG girl. Your story is MY story. Wednesday I came home from work and my dog (boxer/rottie mix) was hacking like there was something stuck in his throat, like he was trying to honk like a goose. Me and bf were trying to figure out what was wrong with him. He was feeling along his throat and neck to see if there was something there. I was gonna wait until Friday to take him to the vet so I wouldn't have to miss work. He normally sleeps outside but we kept him inside that night b/c I wanted to keep an eye on him. Of course I consulted Dr. Google. Tips I found: take his collar off and give him honey. I was worried sick. Probably only got 3 hrs of sleep, fighting back tears. The next day I checked on him as soon as I got up. He was moving very slowly and had the saddest look on his face I had ever seen. I said, "Are you OK?" And he immediately started coughing. I burst into tears. I said, "We're going NOW." His vet happened to be closed that day so we had to go to the animal hospital (which of course was a lot more expensive, we'll be eating bologna sandwiches for the next three months). They asked if he goes to kennels or to the dog park. I said he goes to the dog park every weekend. Up to date on shots. Vomited twice but otherwise OK. He got examined and x-ray'd. Bronchitis (kennel cough). He got antibiotics, a cough suppressant, steroids, and anti-nausea meds. Can't wait til he's back to his old self. Hope your baby recovered fully. He's a cutie. 🐶
My golden had Kennal cough a few weeks ago I was supper worried but it was nothing to serious he got medicine and he was all ok so I hope the same for your dog
Aww poor baby. Any idea what the cover you have in the backseat is or where you got it? Looks perfect for my pup that loves to track mud or jump in the front seat.
Love this video. My 8 month old puppy went to the vet two weeks ago for kennel cough and got an antibiotic. His cough sounds exactly like your puppy’s cough. He still is coughing a little after antibiotics so we are going back today for an X-ray and I’ve been bawling my eyes out for like two days because google has me convinced my dog is gonna die. Glad I’m not the only one
I am currently in EXACTLY the same situation with my mini-aussiedoodle Remus. He's 14 weeks/old and has been in a puppy school program with other pups at the same vaccination level, but was exposed last week. I took him to the vet yesterday and they said they didn't hear any signs of pneumonia in his chest, and he has a minor upper respiratory infection. But with him being so young, they do AND don't want to put him on anti-biotics. So I'm waiting it out a few more days to see if his symptoms lessen before I potentially pick up meds :(
@@MyDriftingDesk tbh I hadn’t heard the humidifier tip yet, so I’m putting him down for mandatory naps and putting the humidifier on top of his crate. Hasn’t coughed since!!!
I don't remember the medicine unfortunately, but it took about 1 week in total for her to stop coughing all together. it took like 3-5 days for it to significantly get better, but 1 full week until she was symptom free, and then another week of no symptoms for good measure before going around other doggos :)
I'm not sure if I did it the "right" way, your vet might have other suggestions but I just ran EVERYTHING through the washer & dryer on high heat (toys, bedding, blankets, pillows, etc. and I washed all dog bowls and chewy rubber things in my dishwasher on high heat! I hope that helps and hope your furry friend is feeling better
it is a LONG process. I linked our breeder in the description of our video of bringing her home at 8 weeks. I searched and searched Facebook groups for one and talked to people who went with them in the past, asked them questions, etc. to see if they were good. but there were definitely a LOT of flops and scams along the way!
No dogs are perfect. They all have their moments. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE MY DOG!!!!! But, she knows how to work me. It’s like her and the squirrels in the backyard make a date to play chase. So she will pace back and forth by the door until she gets her way. AND, she always does.
Ironically enough I watched this video the day before my little habibi started showing symptoms of kennel cough. I literally JUST got her but she’s still acting like a puppy and still is “healthy” but the first night she threw up blood so idk if this happened to anyone’s else’s dog… I checked to see if it was parvo but I don’t think so, she hasn’t thrown up since I have done home remedies and it has helped immensely especially the honey water. Note Hakoda is 8 weeks and is due for her two vaccines.she hasn’t seen or been around other animals and stays in a clean environment. My vet insurance doesn’t start until sept 30th :(
I have a 5 and a half month old Aussie pup has kennel cough (thankfully she’s vaxxed) and I freaked out. This was a couple of days after her day care. She’s acting normal otherwise but hacking up a cough.
Try throwing a smaller ball for her to play catch with... It will make it easier for her to catch it in her mouth... The small chunk it balls work great with my mini Aussie...
