I hate when the runner goes with the sarcastic angle and says: "oyeah this next boss is super hard I need serious time" and then they kill it in 5 seconds and only they and their couch laughs. Its not funny because I dont understand what is going on. Also I like that they give their pronouns so I know what to call them to piss them off.

It was kind of a tired night, didn't feel like doing much, so I just relaxed with cata and followed along and that was my evening. Eventually after it finished I went and got ready for bed, and then I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep and I went, "wait... he didn't kill Fortissax. That was silly." That's all, I just thought it was funny that he totally forgot and invalidated the run and nobody noticed, and then it registered with me in that particular way. Maybe he had the same moment later that night.
Reminds me of Jacksepticeye's most recent Bloodborne playthrough on RUclips, where he was like "I'm going to show you all the bosses" and then at the very end when he's just wrapping up during the credits he's suddenly like, "I forgot to do Laurence! Fuuuck!"

Dude basically instantly kills maliketh then dies to Gideon… I’m stunned lol. Maliketh was one of the bosses that gave me the most trouble originally- but I guess knowing about his low poise and knowing exactly what it takes to quickly stagger him makes a big difference (plus skill obv as well).
Such a great run, and a fantastic commentary. The only thing that I don't love about this is the repeated "quit to menu" sequence to run past enemies during the Ranni quest. I get why its allowed, but something about continually resetting to avoid interacting with the game mechanics feels... antithetical to the spirit of the speedrun.

I wonder how convoluted this game comes across to people who haven’t played it or other souls games, when they hear him talk about getting this item to activate that thing so we can enter this area etc etc in typical FromSoft fashion
He talks about it a bit during the run but it sounds like the community just decided to allow it in this category. Defeating commander Niall is the only hard part of getting to consecrated snowfield. Allowing the glitch after Niall saves a bunch of running around and makes the run more fun
As a person who isn't a native English speaker and also talks very less compared to the average person, I can imagine the jaw pain bro has after that run from explaining so much in a foreign language to him.
A tip if you are having problem with NPC fights, use Eleonora's twin blade. They dodge to the input but eat the rest of the combo, also the bleed is pretty nice

Why isn't the consecrated snowfield skip considered a glitch?
He talks about it a bit during the run but it sounds like the community just decided to allow it in this category. Defeating commander Niall is the only hard part of getting to consecrated snowfield. Allowing the glitch after Niall saves a bunch of running around and makes the run more fun

A tip if you are having problem with NPC fights, use Eleonora's twin blade. They dodge to the input but eat the rest of the combo, also the bleed is pretty nice
or just use a colossal sword with giant hunt or lions claw and continually toss them in the air or flatten them
