I wish I had the coaching these kids had today. I taught myself this move in high school and it worked pretty well but watching this coach demonstrate it I can tell you this way blows the way I did mine WAAAY out of the water.
As a 6'7 shooting Big my game just got Alot Better. Simple reads and change of pace. Thank you Coach Tim Martin. !!!!!!!!! I'm showing this to the Youngins
Not really. You have to attack on the catch, quick step explode. Too much dribbling for nothing that’s getting shut down easily. Jab game and quick step is more dangerous than all those dribbles. If you have blow by speed all it takes on the catch attack or at the most jab and go.
@@milfmuncher6962 for sure, but your not always able to do that. That’s why in a live dribble situation, you need to be able to change speeds and direction.
These are my favorite videos because they teach with students and explain how the moves are used in context (with other teammates and defenders). These lessons are much more helpful than demonstrating a move with no one else on the floor.
hey, i just wanted to say i’ve been using this trick and it has worked to perfection! i’m now able to beat full-court presses and have had the least amount of turnovers this season then ever, thank you so much!
What I’ve learned a lot from basketball is that there is many ways that you can control and move past your defender. What I mostly like to do in a 2v2s or 1v1s in the Chris Paul switch. If you do not know what the Chris Paul switch is, you head right or left (slowly) then quickly switch to the other side with the hand you are currently dribbling with. I’m a right hand ball handler/shooter, so I start off with my right hand, then push to the basket with my left. If you can use that in games, it’s a guaranteed point (if you know how to use it)
Don’t play real ball but have been looking for pure basketball knowledge since I and a avid 2k player........best video I’ve found on learning the true concept of attacking the basket by breaking down the D
Best Insight Video I've ever seen!!! Why? Because attacking defenses, attacking your man, Offensive footwork vs defensive footwork, getting into your play, drawing defensive, ball protection, key moves & dribbles and not wasting your moves all in one video!!!! #Bruh!!!! DWade makes it look so easy and this is why? #Thanks
This is awesome. Lots of jewels here. My daughter can definitely incorporate this into her attack game over the summer! Thank you. Please keep the instructional videos like this coming
Do you guys have a video on how to do basic dribble moves? I am trying to teach myself some and the only one that I can sort of do is the Allen Iverson cross. I would like to learn in between the legs and behind the back. Thanks.
Thank you. I've been doing the shooting workouts for 5 months now, and I'm basically a mid-range deadeye. My friends are Varsity are embarrassed when I shoot over their face, thanks to your help!
Love it! I've been playing for a long time and I still learn new things from these coaches. Like Phil Handy said I'm not saying your way is wrong, but there may be a better way to do it.
I have a problem that I need help with I'm a point guard and I have problems when my coach put on another guard alongside me how came I deal with thus helping my team more ?
Awesome video also simple question, besides the wrap around could you also change directions by doing a between the legs crossover or maybe a regular crossover in front of you?
gboy7 warriors yes u can, it’s all about selling the move & getting them to bite the bait. U wanna make your defender believe he has the one up on u, that’s also where the counters come in too.
I always had trouble beating my defender off the dribble and driving to the basket. It was mostly likely because of my lack of strength where I get pushed back a lot everytime i drive through a defender.
a lot of it comes with experience. the more you play the more you know where players will/should be. some people have a better vision than others, thats just how it is. just play more and be more mindful of your players.

“I’m playing chess while he’s playing checkers” great way to describe it
I’m currently in 8th grade going to 9th after this summer. This is literally gonna be my coach until then.
The biggest thing i learned- Get your right foot aligned with the defenders right foot. It sets the perfect angle to blow past them.
Thank you EGTBasketball I used this move in a game and caught an ankle breaker. I also got a cash jumper from watching this. $$$$

Great one there
Some times I dont change speed and direction this is a food reminder to drift then shift my defender
How do you incorporate this when playing against zone defense?
In zone all you have to do is split the two defenders at the top of the key and either shoot or pass
I will use this for tomorrow's battle
How'd it go

Cool that you're thinking about what situations to use certain moves in.

a lot of it comes with experience. the more you play the more you know where players will/should be. some people have a better vision than others, thats just how it is. just play more and be more mindful of your players.
Just practice something that works but isn’t to flashy, like a smooth crossover
I always try to get defender on his heels. One they are there you got em..
