    Il coltellaccio ha uno stile particolare, tutto suo e coerente, coi bordi del manico angolari e non arrotondati.

    Some smith or other once said "The easiest way to describe forging is: heat, beat, repeat." I'm no expert but it seems to me there's more to it than that.

      You have absolutly right...somebody have to explain him that a highcarbon steel in the core helps a lot😂😂😂😂 the knife is useless😢

      Zgadza się, pręty zbrojone to stal konstrukcyjna zwykłej jakości. Jednak w pewnym momencie przy drugim zespoleniu była przemieszana z inną stalą, i tutaj domyślam się, że zbrojenie ma być rdzeniem dla twardszej stali wysokowęglowej żeby całość po prostu nie połamała się przy uderzeniu jak np. pilnik.

      If quenched properly and tempered properly most rebar is 1095 tool steel and will hold a good edge

    • @oldpuebloforge
      @oldpuebloforge 22 дня назад

      @@davidashner2034 This is not true. Rebar is made from recycled steel and graded not for its chemical content but its physical properties. ASTM A615 and ASTM A706 are common grades for rebar. Carbon content is 0.2-0.3%. For knife making it's low carbon mystery steel. Not even as good as a railroad spike.
