The incentive theory posits that granting exclusive rights to creators/inventors serves as an incentive for innovation & creative output. It suggests that by allowing individuals or organizations to have a monopoly over their intellectual creations for a specified period, they are encouraged to invest in research, development, & creativity, knowing that they can reap the rewards of their efforts. This however is not a very big advantage because when a Monopoly is unrestricted it results in market crash. On the other hand, social planning theory which is also known as social engineering theory, focuses on the broader societal context and aims to address social issues through policy interventions, the incentive theory of intellectual property rights deals specifically with the legal framework surrounding the ownership and protection of intellectual creations. That's the difference between the two.

The labour theory is more famously called as moral desert theory which they ask in NET. Also, you can talk about Rothbardian solution when talking about theories of IPR. Overall, helpful. Thank you 😊
Hi , I have query, In this video under Natural Theory , you are not explained the points satisfactorily , feels very quickly you had covered the points , not cleared what exactly you wanna to say that labour when delivers the output (IPR) related has labour's right . in this scenario if any company hires to team lets say any pharma company asking there labours to do R&D in that case , labour (who worked on that product to deliver intellectually ) has right, then why company will bare cost and loose the opportunity for not to own the rights, Can you pls explain
In such case, the company will be the owner because the employee is under the contract of services for the company. The rights will be with the company unless contrary has been stated.
