ENFP: Compulsion to challenge emotional boundaries
ENTP: Compulsion to challenge logical inconsistencies
ESFP: Compulsion to challenge party poopers
ESTP: Compulsion to challenge everyone and everything

INTJ: Compulsion to preserve evidence for an "I told you so"
INTP: Compulsion to preserve evidence for an "I could have told you so, but you never asked that precise question"

    • @farrex0
      @farrex0 2 года назад +25

That doesn't make logical sense, because... oh wait. Nope, yeah, I am doing it.
But then again, I controlled the compulsion easily, so is it accurate?
But here I am questioning it again, so I didn't really control it...
So maybe you are right... or... are you? *queue Vsauce music*

    • @farrex0

@commentor four True, but with also tert Fe. We are quite adept at doing it without causing too many problems. Basically we master the way to question and call their BS, while not making them mad. Unlike the stereotypes.
So blind Fi, makes us question everything. without having emotional connection to it, so we rarely have a bias in any discussion.
It might be this ability of not taking it too seriously, and know when to back off due to Fe.
But at the same time there is this compulsion, or a sort of trigger, when someone says something that seems illogicalor we know is not true.
But Fe makes us really good at finding a way to say it. It is not sugar coating, mind you, More like knowing the specific way to approach something, depending on the person. If the person values a direct approach we are direct. To others, maybe sneak in some jokes works. For others, sneaking in some compliments or good things about what they said. There is this sort of experimentation we make with people to know how to treat them. So we become good at telling the truth, without creating emotional chaos, like Te users usually do....
Funnily enough, high Te users are so bad at dealing with people, and create emotional havoc everywhere they go... that there is a certain satisfaction in trolling them ,and giving them a taste of their own medicine, lmao.

Seriously, I had a very similar inner monologue reading this comment. And you are bang-on about Blind Fi and Tertiary Fe. I think understanding this about ENTPs is key to understanding the type, even more than Ne/Ti, and the misunderstanding/ignorance of this is where most of the stereotypes come from (that and and over-emphasis on Se demon spectacle, which is actually crazy rare and unhealthy, but impressive and captivating, so it gets memed).

There is still one thing that bugs me a little about this kind of depiction though. We INTPs are not collectors of facts. We are gardeners. An encyclopedic fact is just a single seed, or maybe it's a splash of water, or a spoonful of fertilizer or a ray of sunlight. But we are not out to collect seeds in a bucket or to collect water in a pool. We want to use them to grow a big, lush forest; a forest of tall trees and sprawling bushes and beautiful flowers, which all interact with each other symbiotically as a great ecosystem. And we want to climb those tallest trees and look at the world from there.
Seeds, water, and even botany tips may be gathered from books and conversations, but most of the actual gardening takes place inside our minds when we are “doing nothing”.

Although, we don’t really take it too seriously around each other. The common ground I’ve found with him is that I will more than happily join in on his antics and riff jokes off him. Ne-Si bouncing off Se-Ti is always a fun dynamic. I like to think I’m my funniest around him haha, and given the right Ne brainstorm, his Ti will 100% take off with it, and I get to amusedly watch his Se rapidly spin it into fruition

@@nerysghemor5781 I am an INFJ, and I will randomly chat with someone in a bathroom line. I think that is partly because of my Midwestern US upbringing, and partly because of my tendency to pick up on other people's emotions, and subsequent need to help those having a bad day if I can, even if it's a little thing like telling them that "I love your glasses frames - that is such a cool design!" - because everyone deserves to feel unique and that their choices are valued, and little pick me ups can sometimes really help. Though if the interaction gets too extended, after I get out of the bathroom I have to find somewhere to hide for a few minutes so I can recover the mental energy it took!

As for conversation... respect their need to express future and possible ideas and their "read" on people. That's pretty much it. The ENFP is so true! It’s the balance I have to get right with my brother- which hey I’m hilarious. It’s frustrating when he wants to move on in the physical though and doesn’t understand that i’m still exploring in the meta-physical of what his last observation was, and very much what is right in front of him. Where as I’m still talking about the links I want to explore and he doesn’t really understand that need.
But me being a constant meme does get a fair few laughs out of him so job well done 😂
Also speaking as an ENFP- WE WILL LOVINGLY BREAK YOUR defences with our adorableness and endearing qualities and find a way into your hearts! Literally we will keep trying because we love people and just want to love you, and for you to love us! Also, I have a crushing fear of rejection so… please don’t swipe me away🥺😂 also idk where you get this idea that ENFP’s have a fear of rejection from and have to be rejected in the past by a lot of people from… but damn it’s so spot on, like maybe it’s the nature of the ENFP with Ne externalising all the thoughts that to others are weird and often dismissed with a lot of people not giving us a chance. And that Fi need to belong and never fully feeling like we do.

Then again I spent all night last night at a formal event with people I’d met 20 mins before it started and had a great time but I was tried because I was just not feeling like I was being my most authentic self and like they were fun and lovely people I just didn’t really fit in with the group) then left before the disco then sat with the night staff who were a lot more more crowd and talked with them for like 2 hours, and they were so lovely and greta to talk to (always got along better with people older than me than kids my own age- probably because I just feel like I’m more emotionally mature than other people- but I’m a contraction because I am very childlike just a different kind to the emotional and immaturity of people my age if that makes sense?)

I’m an estj in a relationship with an estp. Everyday it’s just that. A competition…a challenge
He keeps me on my toes and I’ve learned to manage my anger and not to expect anything.
To be honest…if he gets clingy…I know he screwed up something and he “expects” me to fix it. And if he’s not clingy which is 98% of the time… I get my free space and I can work happily.
Surprisingly our relationship works. He told me he is going to marry me. I laughed and said for what? He said just so I know he’s committed and that is one hell of a thing for him to do because he is NOT a commitment kind of guy. He even gave me a ring. Buuut let’s see. I am in NO rush.
I give him space.. he works and I’m just thankful for that. That he works and gets a paycheck. And I set it up that 40% gets banked and he can’t touch it. Really thankful for that. So his bills get paid on time. But he is VERY capable of gambling that money away or giving it away.
The other good part is I don’t get jealous if he talks to other women. And I think that was what kept him around.
He rather spend time with the guys than waste time spending it with women that he knows will probably want a relationship with him. I KNOW he has frequented strip clubs with his friends. I KNOW it. I’m not an idiot. And he flirts. People question our relationship and surprisingly he tells them all to shut up. And it’s none of their business. I also know he would cross hell for me if something happened to me.
Yeah somehow our relationship works. How? I dunno it just does.

I have been waitng that video for so long. You are analyzing and act Se best in RUclips. And swiping introverts is most related thing to me in all your videos 😂

Swiped all the NFs... almost. The ENFP somehow was immune to that.

INFJ was so real. I hate it when these types ask me a question. By the time I have inhaled to answer, they are bored.

Brave of you to assume INFJs even _Have_ a "True Self"...
I love these videos though, you're always very creative, not only with what they other types say, but also with the "style" of video.
It's very fitting to the type, so I'm always really happy to see this series on your channel 😁

Just because you can’t see something (for we show our true self to NO-ONE) doesn’t mean it’s nonexistent.

Yeah true, I'm INFj myself, but I sometimes don't really have a firm grasp on "who" I am. :p
