We will explain and show you the process of painting your airsoft gun, while applying some effects like the net pattern and creating a worn look.
We show the how to prepare, to make sure no paint will get in to the gun or any internal parts, the required items and the actual painting.

You can also use a sponge and silver paint for a more metallic looking scratch pattern

@@Skemr023 Put some silver paint on a sponge and just lightly stroke stroke it on parts where you want it to look used.

I have a few older airsoft guns that are not like good ones so I’m gonna do this to those, see how I like it and apply it my quality one, as well as give the older ones a nice fresh paint job

Just spray a little area at a time, and dry off what you need while paint is still wet. Much easier and looks realistic too.

Anything different when painting a hi capa? should I use some kind of paint remover to remove the black paint before hand on my slide, slide catch etc then start this process?
will the paint layer be easy to scratch off?
Good video, guys. We didn't even know you had a Channel. 😁 I've never done a paint job on my guns before but I've noticed that some tend to roughen the surface with some sandpaper first. And since you didn't mention that I question if that is really necessary. 🤔 | Viper out
Hey guys, thanks for the comment! I personally wouldn't come near my replicas with sandpaper. Though it does roughen up the surface, which makes the paint stick better, the whole point of this method is to make it look worn and used and remove some of the paint you've just added. If the paint starts wearing off, you'll start seeing the scratched surface of the original paint/coating of your replica.

So I'm getting a walther ppk spring pistol and i was wondering if I could spray-paint the barrel (which is orange) or the thing you pull back will be stuck. Thanks anyone who can solve this!
I have a broken BB Gun and instead of getting rid of it I'm just going to use it as a display piece. Do I still need to tape and wrap everything up or does it not matter as long as everything goes back in one piece?

If you spray lightly, that will not cause any issues. Any excessive paint will just break away easily, while using it.

Can you please do a video on spray panting a clear airsoft m4 to black, like more specifically a clear body airsoft gun but the barrel and stock are aleardy black just the body is clear, thanks!
Just do the same thing, but with black paint. You may need multiple layers of paint because it's clear
So, why remove the inner barrel? I’m confused about its importance.
Hey, great video sound wise and visually but my question is, since mine is a cheap ABS AEG is there any precaution I should be aware of?
I would consider using primer on these and wiping the surface with alcohol first to remove any unwanted dirt

If you want to go for that worn look, pay extra attention to which nail polish remover you use. Do some extra testing, to ensure the plastic is not affected!

if your are planning that paint would stick on the surface for a long time then yes you can apply primer but if your planning to have natural wear and tear on the surface no need for primer i paint my guns without surface primer but that just me
What if i want to paint the ejection port i think red would look sick
Best to do it by brush and not spray to be safe
if you wanted to you could take out the gear box and motor to make it alot easier
Thinking about painting my modify PP-2000, it’s gbb so I would imagine the process is a little easier due to the realistic takedown. Let me know your thoughts!
I'm 2 years late to the party but I've seen people paint their real steal guns with less prep than this, just tape off anything you don't want paint on (open holes, important numbers, etc) and spray away :)

Personally, I’m borderline OCD, and in order to protect every piece’s internals (handguard, stock, grip) I’d disassemble the handguard, pistol grip, receivers and remove the gear box and motor.

was this a metal gun or a plastic one? paintings method are different for each type
The rail, receivers and stock tube are metal. Stock and pistol grip are plastic. Most spray paint can be applied on both surfaces.

what color did you use?
We used Fosco Coyote as the base layer (is actually looking more like FDE), and the for the darker color we have used Krylon Camouflage Brown. It is adviced to use Krylon or any other high-end spray, as they have a better nozzle. For larger surfaces it doesn’t matter if you have a crappy nozzle, but for decals or other details you want to be more precise.
what type of paint you need to use
You can use any just no glossy paint
I sprayed my airsoft m4 a matte black, but it ended up being really shiny, what did I do wrong?

In Nederland is er geen verplichting om een oranje flash hider te hebben.

Id just remove the gb and barrel assembly. Nothing can get inside if you do that. Also when painting there is no such thing as mistakes. Only happy accidents. That's the joy of painting.

I bought 3 of them from 2 different retailers and all of them shot at least half a mag before it stopped shooting

Personally i would still use primer and top. But if u want a warn more natural ware pattern leaving them out will help.
@@elliotkingaby5312 I made mine to look like a plastic toy gun... But I messed up on certain parts of the gun.. it's a bit of an eye sore... How do I remove paint ( primer + paint + clear coat) off my gun? The grip is made of plastic so I can't use any Paint remover.
@@insfree try nail polish remover. Do it on a part thats not going to be seen incase it goes wrong
@@insfree It should be OK, I used to use that trick on old warhammer models I'd been asked to repaint so should work. But like I say try on a small part that won't be seen just incase.
