I agree Sophie. Your car is not a storage unit. I only keep my reusable grocery bags and an emergency kit. I believe the car is a big investment and you should treat it accordingly and not like a garbage can.

One thing I do keep in my car are grocery bags. Living in California we have to bring our own or have to pay 10¢ a bag and it all adds up! I got tired of forgetting them. 😂

I imagine parking in the garage could extend the life of a vehicle by several years.
If the stuff taking up space in the garage is worth significantly less than the vehicle, then decluttering is the smart way to go.

I don't keep a lot of stuff in my car either. A bag for when I pick up groceries is always helpful, too. I'm dreading my garage. It's pretty bad. Former owner left alot
Smart to have a bag for groceries! Ugh our former owner left a bit of a mess in our garage too...
I also keep reusable grocery bags in my car, and disinfecting wipes, a cell charger, Emery board, ☀️ glasses, paper towels in case of a spill or something on my windshield, a pen, my music CDs (yup! Still got those!). I don't have a garage 😊
