- It was fun making something a little different. I'll probably do more stuff like this and branch out more. The name of the channel is just my name so I could upload whatever content I want as long as I'm in the video right?

That's when you let them other two tubas take over and fall asleep
It’s me and a 7th grader in my section, I wish I could take a nap with how boring my parts are, the euphoniums got all the cool party’s 😔
Yeah when you’re not the only tuba in your section you can 😂😂😂
@@myless789 the 7th grader is learning fast, hopefully I can take a nap by the end of the year 🤣
@@tubonicallyas a euphonium player, not really. i think our band director gave us the uninteresting parts because our low brass section is tiny
@@ouriin_ The harder the low brass part the harder the woodwind part. I think your bd gets low brass uninteresting parts because your woodwinds can't handle harder literature. It could be different for your band, but thats the dilemma my band is in.
As an audience member please know how much I appreciate the participation of all the musicians who can pull it all together for a performance!
I had so much fun goofing around with my Trombone section when we had boring parts like that. There were also times where I would learn the melody line and play it better than the clarinets or flutes or whoever would have it. Got yelled at by the band director a few times, but it was well worth it. Good memories.
At my college, we alternate between this and pomp and circumstance at graduation. When you’re 15 minutes into the procession on your fifth ceremony of the day, you get pretty jealous of that tuba part lol.
that actually sounds great. graduations are so bad with just pomp for an hour. I've played three grads, two on trumpet and one on tuba. It does not matter, Pomp is not good enough to play more than 3 times in a row on any instrument.
I play bass bone and sometimes I'm more useless than the tuba
imo bass bone is more polarizing. Sometimes there isn't even a part, but the fun parts are much more fun than the tuba's miniscule features. (also it sounds better)
@@nxyuuagreed I might play less but when I do it's always a solo lol
I'm in jazz band I play trumpet but the bari sax and bass trombone get amazing parts in the songs we play
Bass trombone has pretty decent parts in jazz
YESSS ME TOO EXACTLY
BASS BONE BROS, BABY!!!
As a trumpet player with a bestfriend who used to play tuba - I can confirm this is too true 😂
I’m a high schooler and just switched from playing Trumpet to French Horn and I gotta admit I miss those trumpet melodies
You just start progressively getting louder until every time you hit a note it sounds like fog horn.
Passive aggressive musical warfare
@@felixtdiaz don’t let my brother hear that. He plays trombone and already makes ears bleed with volume
@@Anonymous-bv7rg That’s how you know he’s doing it right
@@Anonymous-bv7rg that’s how you’re SUPPOSED to do it!
literally the most relatable thing ever during band class....even as a trombone player
I'm a French horn player. Often times, my band director gives us pieces in which the horn part is awfully boring. (cough cough *Sousa marches* cough cough *Sleigh Ride* cough cough). I'm glad I do actually play trumpet for pep band so I can finally know what it's like to have the melody sometimes.
Marches for horn and alto are horrible
Bass clarinet parts 😍
Love this, you should do more orchestra/band skits, this was funny
This is why I am staying as a clarinet ❤️
As a trombonist, i can feel this pain.
Exactly!!
sameee
The strings having 21 bars of absolute silence:
Every part is needed and necessary! And appreciated!
As I concert bari sax player I felt this
When I was in high school, I was the lone tuba player. We did a Dances with Wolves medley. It started with a single note for me to play and hold for like 16 measures. You're supposed to stagger breathing with the other tuba players...
Incredible! 😂
Well done 😊
I love this guy! 😂 And its so relatable cuz I am a tuba player myself. But I also play other instruments like Bass trombone and Piano. Also about the vid I like how it's pretty much just holding down the first valve lol.
I play second baritone so I have a mix of euphonium parts and trumpets and it's so satisfying
Zabawne 😊spostrzeżenie, nie patrzyłam nigdy na to w ten sposób...ale wszystkie te instrumenty są ważne dla całości
As a second trumpet in marching band, I can confirm I don't play for 61 measures
Eu celebro a vitória de assistir um vídeo magnífico como esse ❤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻
Bravisimo!
As someone that was born in Gen Z. All I hear in my mind while hearing that trumpet part is
“Get the soup, get the soup, get the sooouuuupp”
The clarinet doesn't have a boring part ;)
Oh my the key signature-
As a former clarinet play turn tuba i can relate a lot to this
As a clarinet turned bass clarinet, for concert season, I can also relate.
@@EthanHyland my favorite song to play on tuba would have to be 7 nation army. Mainly because we can blast (there's 3 of us to 50 others and we play extremely quietly) along as we have good tone.
tuba player and proud
I play the tuba and this is so true
That’s why I love Dixieland tuba. A lot more style to play with even if the parts are relatively simple
Omg this is so relate able I’m in middle school and I play the euphonium and when my part was boring I just learned the wood winds Melodie’s and just started playing then and it sounded better to me because it was an octave lower
NOW THAT IS SOME CURSED KEY SIGNATURE!!
Concert D flat for the tuba I believe
Imagine playing the cello part of Ravel's Bolero
I see what you did there
As a tuba player I can say this is true however since my band is small and I am the only tuba. Whenever I can't make it to band the band always falls apart without me. Eventhough I don't play the melody I am the Fondation.
the way tubist move their heads is funny.
THIS made me lol
Rewatching… it still gets me lol
but ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY
I def get it as a bass and bari sax player lol
All parts are equally important!
Oh no, I actually enjoyed playing the tuba part, but we did the whole Aida, not just the triumphal march.
Welcome to the life of a viola my friend
thats why im palying trumpet xD
This was me playing cello in high school was backup to the violins haha
Meanwhile me, a trumpet, wanting a part that’s not the melody for ONE SONG
トランペットはらくそうでいいなと思ってて
チューバは楽しそうでいいなと思っている
これが高音と低音の深い溝
I can 100% relate to that tuba player but I will never touch a trumpet
As a tuba in school this is extremely relatable
Tuba parts were too easy for him so he took up the trumpet 😎
Verdi infamously hated the tuba
Sounds mire intense than playing a tuba.
I play the percussion I just keep waiting and waiting 🥸
It’s really like that literally as a bassoonist, there are times we’re my parts are like that and i do stuff like that
Gyönyörű 😭♥️
what it feels like to be a viola fr
In those silly and boring moments (orchestral bass bone speaking) make everyone of those notes sound like 1000$! Give the orchestra the fullest, richest, and most attractive notes to hold on to. If you, the bass bone, and low strings stopped playing the trumpets would start to struggle so fast. Enjoy the small parts you have and rest assured that you are getting paid more per note than anyone there. As a bass bone my real fun was jazz gigs after the orchestral ones.
Switching to your secondary...
I know it’s not band, but as someone who plays the viola I feel you lol
Welcome to horn life 🦞🦞🦞
come join the violin gang, promise to either have all the melody parts or ocassional melody depending which section ur in
This is exactly how I feel about Pomp and Circumstance as a bass clarinetist. 98% of it is staccato quarter notes 😭
French Horns during marches be like:
As a tuba player that is the only player in the band i fell you bro
Nah i feel it
I play tuba and I'm always so angry when we get a new piece and I got like quarter notes
Lol give any lower brass/woodwind player/ just lower instruments in general the melody and they will play it as loud and passionate as we can, coming from a bass clarinet in band I've never wanted to switch back to either a clarinet or just an entirely new instrument so badly, but also don't regret my choice bc I like playing basslines as long as I can bop along with it XD
It's boring but when the tubas aren't there, it doesn't sound like music. No appreciation till we're gone
What wind musical instruments are beautiful
i use to play bass clarinet but my band director for got i switched in 7th grade so i was forced to play clarinet this year. ig its better but i hate having the melody
Hahahahahahahaha your face😂😂😂
hence why i play clarinet lol
Me when I graduate in Philippines:
That’s only if our trumpets knew how to play
I’m another tuba player and I actually got a solo
Fax
French horns as well lmao, this is why my main is trumpet
Istg there are 2 types of music for french horn
"Wow the french horn part sounds amazing!"
"Wait there were french horns?"
👍
As a Tuba player who wants to play, trumpet this is soooooo accurate!😂😂😂
And that’s when you actually have a part and not 80 measures of rest followed by 120 measures of rest😂😂😂😂
You should definitely learn other instruments. I had played trumpet, horn, and baritone before I even got to high school and it was a great experience.
@@felixtdiaz my primary instrument is piano but I definitely want to learn the trumpet as well. I actually have one now.:) the only thing I’m struggling with is that the embouchure is soooooo small :/ haha
@@felixtdiaz I also want to learn the flute
No what you do is you play along with them and if you can reach the notes their playing then play in the same octive as them
I rather have that sir than what a trombone plays
It's usual also as basstrombone
as a tuba, how do you have such good tone quality 😭 idk if its an issue with my busted ass school tuba or if i have the wrong posture but my sound has this like- buzz at the bottom of the sound
It's hard to know. Doing long tones and developing a strong low register daily will develop your tone.
It seems boring, but if you can bear it, you can, over time, realize how important the part is.
I started on baritone then switched to tuba, and have been playing it for 4 years, I never really get the melody but I still love tuba parts
(Maybe it’s because I’m used to them, but there’s always songs with good tuba parts)
Arabesque, Sevens, (like every Hazo piece) Moorside March, and others
To add insult to injury, you to play weird instruments during Verdi.
At least you don’t have to play the main tune with a 6 foot long single-valve trumpet with a heavy Egyptian flag slung off the bell. Oh, and the wardrobe department have decided that you will be ditching the pit blacks for dedicated themed stage clothes too!
But as a tubist, you will be playing those two notes on a Cimbasso, a weird bastard cousin of the bass trombone, an instrument we know you can’t play. You’ve probably never played one before, and will probably never play one again, until the next Verdi opera which is in a few weeks time!
Have a nice day! Don’t get too stressed!
Quisiera ser la tuba
My music teacher always says, it it's boring, then your not playing it right, definitely can but allot more energy into it
Die 5 Kreuz 😮
And I thought the horn part was a bit boring
And the Filipino students go march
จริงครับ
Bro what in the FUCK is that Key signature
Talk about finding a guy that can do both 😊😉 lol
Any bass instrument most of the time lol
😃😃😃
I am a trumpet
When your a flute and the most boring you get are long trills or harmonies
Does this get played at weddings?
I wouldn't be surprised if it was
6 sharps 😭
Wrong legatos! Aaah! :D
