    I emigrated from England (Southampton) in 1964 to Montreal aboard Saxonia's sister ship Carmania. Wonderful video.

    My dad came back from New York on her in 54 I'm sure,, he sailed to New York on the Britannic,, he always told me about the stabilisers on the Saxonia how when it got a bit choppy they put them out and it sorted it out 👍

    I can't understand Portuguese? Or español but have interested in big ships so watch here, this channel has many not famous ship(except titanic olympic lusitania britannic Queen mary...) variously🚢🚤

    The History Of The RMS Andania:
    The RMS Andania Was Ordered By Cunard Line And Was Built At John Brown,Clydebank Shipyard. The Ship Was Launched On February 6th 1954. From August 18th Until August 20th 1954 She Doing Test Tours. She Was Delivered To Cunard Line In August 1954. On September 5th 1954 She Left On Her Maiden Voyage From Liverpool To Montreal. On July 19th 1957 She Left On Her First Voyage From Southampton To Montreal. From 1962-1963 She Was Rebuilt At John Brown,Clydebank And Renamed FRENCONA. On March 8th 1963 She Left On Her First Journey From Rotterdam-Montreal During The Winter And Cruise Traffic In United States. In 1967 She Was Cruises Only. In October 1971 She Was Laid Up At Southampton For 2 Years. In August 1973 She Was Sold To Black Sea Shipping Company And Renamed VOLODOMYR ZELENSKYY. On November 20th 1973 She Left On Her First Voyage From Southampton-Sydney-Auckland And Then Cruises In Australian or European Waters. After The Collapse Of Soviet Union In 1991 She Was Transferred To Transorient Seastar And Was Renamed VOLODOMIR ZELENSKY. On October 6th 1995 She Was Laid Up At Ilichevensk. In 2003 She Was Charted To Falklands JSC,But There Were Not Were Not Many Cruises. In November 2004 She Was Sold For Scrapping In India. In January 2005 She Was Renamed LENSK And Registed In Moroni Flag. She Left Ilichevensk On January 21st 2005 To Alang,India. On February 2nd 2005 She Was Beached At Alang,India For Scrapping Where They Are Cutting Torches Were Waiting.

    Her hull was OK, but the whole infrastructure and funnel (especially) awful.
