  • Preservation Snapshots:
When Landmarks Illinois listed the Edith Farnsworth House on its Most Endangered Historic Places in Illinois list in 2003, its future was uncertain. Illinois preservationists, including Landmarks Illinois’ former chairman, Joe Antunovich, took action to save the historic home.
This year, the Edith Farnsworth House Museum is celebrating its 20th Year of being open to the public.
The American Institute of Architects has hailed it as one of the Illinois 200 Great Places, the Chicago Tribune named it one of the “20 must-see attractions in Illinois,” and USA Today named it one of the 25 Must-See Buildings in Illinois.
On Thursday, April 4, 2024, architect and Landmarks Illinois' former chair, Joe Antunovich, gave a special Preservation Snapshots presentation on the most enthralling story of the Edith Farnsworth House.
For more information on the 20th Anniversary Celebration on June 11, 2024, tours of the house, and seasons, visit EdithFarnsworthHouse.org.
