He just wanted to help Ajay and told him to not move and enjoy the crab ragoon and then they together would scatter Ajay's mothers ashes. But yeah Ajay decided to move.
I like Pagan Min because he just acts like Ajays dad through the most of it, even in this scene, he’s just lightly scolding him and just makes it clear that he doesn’t want anything to happen to him. He’s a crazy dude and did bad things, but when you find out that he planned on giving the whole thing to Ajay, who he views like a son, it makes sense. He was doing bad things, dirtying his hands, so Ajay wouldn’t have to do it later. Plus, revenge for Ajay’s mom and his one year old daughter, Ajay’s sister. It’s why I prefer and like the alternate ending so much. Pagan Min is in my top three Farcry villains of all time for that.

Pagans just as bad. 1 example where the mission u chase his look alike on the mini helicopter and just before he gets that man and women gunned down. Iv cleared the game about 10 times and pagan is just as bad.

Interestingly enough, and if I'm not wrong here, a dev posted a tweet bringing up how initially their team wanted to add where you play a little bit with the Golden Path but if you decide that they're horrible people, you could join the Royal Army. Budget and time constraints cut this I assume. Closest official thing is the Pagan Control dlc in Far Cry 6.

Pagan min,being born in hong Kong in 1966 he had a rough past.until he resembled himself as the king of kyrat,and of course there had to be rebels in the background.but pagan literally said “consider this tough love.” To ajay,and boy he’s ajay’s step dad.
He was probably one of the less actually morally incorrect characters, looking at pagan min and hearing him you can tell that once upon a time he was good man.
Honestly yeah i really liked the few interactions we got with him, hes very charming and funny. Of course i love Vaas too. Shame about the series after this one tho
This is the Far Cry game that I grew up with, and it was amazing for the time, in my opinion. Pagan is obviously a psychopath, but what I find interesting is that he never lies to you in a way that betrays his core values. This is interesting because the two leaders of the Golden Path, Sabal and Amita, do the opposite, not showing their hand until the very end of the game. As a naive 14 year old boy, the game left me feeling unsatisfied initially by the lack of a truly “good” ending. Now I see why; the creators want to blur the lines between good and evil, enough to where, by the end, you really don’t know what you stand for anymore
What's fascinating to me is that in every Far Cry game there's no reason to ever want to join the villain but Far Cry 4 when you see pagan men you see him as the lesser of the two evils and he's not the worst choice but the fact that we can't fight with him makes me sad because yeah he's a terrible human being but he's not as bad as the other two or drug trafficking more or child labor to the fullest
To be fair ajay first encounter with pagan was after his bus got shot up, witnessing death, and pagan stabbing his soldier in the neck repeatedly. Pagan could’ve explained himself and who he was before the dinner scene but instead put a bag over ajay’s head. Then again stabbed the other guy with fork. Obviously that would be traumatic for anyone so when pagan leaves to torture the other guy for ajay knew he could potentially be next? Ajay is completely out of his element. So when sabal comes in a empathetic and friendly manner to rescue ajay it’s understandable why he’d escape with him
Far Cry 4 has one of my favorite story in any video game. You play the whole game thinking you’re Luke Skywalker trying to take down the Empire, only to realize you were brainwashed by terrorists.
The most interesting thing about him is throughout the whole story you slowly learn that everyone is a pos even your allies and your father. Pagan Min is arguably the lesser of all evils. The secret ending in the beginning of the game requires you to stay in his office when he tells you to wait instead of going on a murder spree and escaping, but when he comes back he exposes all the things that you would've learned throughout the game and even brings you to your mother's shrine where the game would've ended anyway
Pagan was my favorite FC villain. He, Amita, and Sabal are all villains, but only Pagan was honest about it. I always make it a point to let Uncle Pagan go, then I go back and deal with the other leader I didn't gank in the main story.

Give Vaas millions of dollars, a strong amount of willpower, guns, an armada, and a strong reason to pursue the protagonist, and you have the one and only Pagan-min. A cold-blooded but very elegant killer. Taunting you whenever possible over the golden path's radio, so easy to eavesdrop on them whenever they talk to the protagonist. He isn't strong, nor dumb enough to get involved with the fight, he instead uses armies to bring the Himalayas under his crocodilian boots. In the end, he was right to warn you of the golden path. Shortly after dealing with the story, the golden path leaders will be seen either executing surrendered soldiers or forcing children to train and threaten them for results. The golden path are animals, being incapable of dealing with pagan without your help, and even doing so, it only worsens once hes gone, so what was the point of removing him if they're just going to continue the slaughter that pagan has started?
Loved fc4 but interestingly fc5 is my favourite. Was really hyped about 6 but i have never been so disappointed. Only reason why I suffered trough it was to see Giancarlo Espositos role.

In comparison I feel like these new ones really haven’t changed or improved anything tho I am mainly speaking about 6 I know 5 was beloved by a lot of people n the story was pretty good all things considered

Canon wise he actually listened and waited for him to comeback. Scattered the ashes and made Ajay the successor. Best ending too
