san is probably the most expressive dancer in 4th gen rn. The way he immerse himself on music, its like he's in another world yet he's still so aware of his surrounding, lmao idk how to explain it. but one thing for sure, He's one of the best, if not the best performer in whole kpop industry rn.

not just 4th gen, could be considered one of the best in the entire industry
San is so intrinsically artistic in the way he expresses himself, he just gives his 210% and gets so invested in the character the song tells him to be. The level of passion he has when performing is just something else. He's so unlike any other idol I have seen in my 5-6 years of being into k-pop.
remember how tiny and shy was San before,and low self esteem can't imagine that someone can change that much,the members helped him a lot to gave him more confidence

Just watch ateez b4 debute n their video logs ..the way ateez struggling esp sanie joining idol without any dancing experiences but kq selected him coz of his vocals ..by working hard n the support help frm members esp yunho n mingi whose experienced performers n they bcame close friends n sanie never forgotten n appreciated still them so much.
San was voted the idol with the best facial expressions for a reason…😌

thats one thing i love from ateez. every member have diff and deep expressions on their own. esp san. i remember them saying that they trained for that. acting on stage. cant remember where they mentioned it but i think they've said it a bunch of times.
I had tears in my eyes for most of this. He's just so amazing and the way he throws himself into his performances with his whole heart and soul is so inspiring to me. I know he's super hard on himself and he never likes or is happy with his own fancams but I hope one day he can truly understand how special he is and be proud of all the hard work he's put in and the art he's created.

He moves from character to another in the blink of an eye, his dancing power is insane as hell. SAN is unstoppable! He'll be the best dancer in the history of the K-pop industry no doubt

I'm starting to think that the hip thrusts aren't as obvious in the choreo until San gets ahold of it...
Precious sneaks up on me and i love it every time. Trance is right! Any time the choreo puts San restrained in the center i have to take a breath. The man is mesmerizing. And the vocals in Precious?? Heart in my throat.
Blonde Seonghwa with that mullet Joong is something else. Hala Hala is so good.
There's a desperation in the way San performs, not like he's desperate but his expression and his push and pull within himself/the choreo is incredible.
Inception hands is he's the dreamer, trying to wake up and he thought he was awake but he pulled the hand from his eyes and realized he was still asleep...
AH, what i wanted to also say about San's performance style: in theatre you're told to never let your character drop because "someone is always watching".. San embodies that mentality!

San is elite. There is no one on his level when it comes to performance and that is for the sole reason that he literally changed what it means to truly perform. His inherent nature to experience microsecond reactions through his facial expressions is something he’s been doing since predebut and he has only gotten 10000x better at it. There are always surprises when you watch a San fancam; I make a ton of edits of his performances and somehow I still get surprised by something he did in .005 seconds that I never caught before. That’s why I usually watch his fancams in 0.25x speed 🥲

this may be an odd comparison but watching san perform is almost like watching a movie. it's like he's telling a story from beginning to end. he immerses himself into a character and tells a story with his dance moves and facial expressions, i think that's what makes him so mesmerizing to watch. there are tons of talented kpop idols who perform very well but i've never felt actual chills watching someone perform until i saw him perfom, he's really incredible.

I'm kind of with you on the hair. I don't think it looks terrible but I do like it longer on him.
