I made the mocha version of this today. I was never a fan of Starbucks until I bought a bottle of the Mocha Frappuccino at the local grocery store. My budget could not support my addiction. SO….I searched on line and found your video. I added about a cup more milk, another 1/2 cup of sugar and about 1/2 cup of Hershey’s chocolate syrup. I can’t do whole milk so I used 2%. Honestly I can’t taste the difference between this and Starbucks. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!!

This recipe is sooooooo good!! I made it originally with instant coffee which was still DELICIOUS. But I saw a comment recommending to use starbucks' espresso. If anyone reading this can afford it in their budget I HIGHLY recommend making this with espresso! gives it such a bitter-sweet punch. • @WhatsUpwithDJNow

@@pattik3568 I use mostly Torani syrups when doing other then the mocha flavor one. I have used vanilla (flavoring) which looks like it's in a bottle like extract but it says flavoring. You don't want to use extract because that's more for baking and has alcohol content so wouldn't be good as a flavoring that you just more of. With Torani they have tons of flavors and even sugar free ones. I've made white chocolate, butterscotch, caramel, butter pecan, so many. The about you use depends on how strong you want the flavor but because they are made for drinks you can put as little or much as you want. I'd start with half cup and taste and go from there. I’ve occasionally picked up one
And discovered I unfortunately LOVE the vanilla flavored one lol
But I’m trying to make it for my daughter who does drink watered (milked lol) down coffee
So she can grab it and take it with her on her way to work this week
And have so far discovered that doubling up even more on the milk
      And yes lol
Adding torani (is there any other kind😂🎉❤) Hazelnut syrup (the only kind she has lol)
      It’s absolutely perfect 💖
(N While at home (she lives in michigan and I’m visiting from SoCal lol) I use Torani’s French vanilla in just about EVERYTHING lol not 😉
      The hazelnut is working nicely
So keep your fingers crossed she likes it💕
      Because unfortunately lol

I tried the recipe tonight and it was excellent. It does taste like the real thing but Starbucks adds a thickener in their drink so it tastes just a tiny bit thicker. All in all I'd have to rate this copycat recipe very highly. I'm just wondering if a bit of evaporated milk might give it the original thickness. Thank You for cracking the recipe. My $3.49 bottle of Mocha Frappuccino now costs less than 70 cents and I encourage all of you to follow suit so you don't continue getting ripped of by greedy Starbucks.

That's very odd to be honest. Mine doesn't turn out bitter and I use instant coffee and it disolves fine. I do know if you use too much coffee it will be bitter. I make this often and so do many other people that have commented on here. Not sure what to tell you if your sure you did correctly.

@@WhatsUpwithDJNow Thank you for replying so soon. Could it be because im using "maxwell house" medium roast 100% columbian?
Edit: Also, i didnt end up even puting the amount of coffee you said, that was the only thing i actually changed. I put 2 cups instead of 5. 5 would have definitely been too much

@@Southern_Pixel oh definitely that's a strong coffee. I use Folger's classic roast. All red container. If you like less strong coffee taste then use more milk ratio then coffee. Like I do 5 cups of coffee and 6 cups milk. That's perfect for me. Follow the coffee measurement for each 8oz water you use. It's like maybe a tsp to 8 oz you don't need a lot. Microwave your water real hot and then dissolve your coffee first, then add cocoa and sugar to dissolve all. Milk last then put in fridge
