Derek brown Came to Waukesha for a school district wide concert in spring of this year and it was so wonderful meeting and hearing him. Each of the schools played a different song from his album All Figured Out, Mine played Human Error and it was a blast playing with him!

Not just mastering these techniques but figuring out how to communicate to other people how to master them is true mastery.
So glad you are pursuing this degree , Derek on teaching. It's taking sax playing to a higher level.

I actually started on Trumpet at 6 years old and only got into Saxophone about 3 years ago. And it really is fun see your progress, when learning something new. Especially after my trumpet skill has stagnated for years already. But you bet, I am gonna pick it up again now, to make some lovely chicken sounds on it!

I'll take you both upon that affirmation about improvising right now. With 3 months of study under my belt, I'm just now learning scales let's see if I can fit this challenge in my practice routine hahaha.

My funny story with extended technique is when I first started practicing altissimo and stuff, slowly working up to double altissimo g, my dad though my saxophone was broken and he literally asked me one day if he needed to take my horn in for repairs.

      That's so funny 😂
I just recently hit a double altissimo g and it's fun to do weird stuff lol.

This is a good video for kinda seeing the process and getting a lot of tips, however you should make a short video that covers everything so its not as long 👍

Mr Better sax this is an urgent matter unfortunately. I have 2 high profile gigs coming up one Friday and one Saturday. I like in Ohio in the USA
If I ordered one of your horns could I get it before Friday? How can I buy one and what tenor do you recommend?

I just want a drummer. I should not have to do this. The drummer does it better every time. I want to play the melody on saxophone. It's like clown tricks to me.

I’m struggling to understand who this video is for, how does this benefit anyone. Why would you video yourself 1-2-1 coaching, especially for 50+ minutes?
