    27:35 I think "one second left" is most likely referring to the 2009 Texas vs Nebraska game where Nebraska thought they won when McCoy threw the ball out of bounds but the officials said there was 1 second left on the clock and Texas kicked a FG to win it

    this is such a small thing but it’s bugged me since the first ep: I’m pretty sure it’s not “2 4 7 sports” but instead “24/7 sports” as in sports all day everyday

    • @Caml3
      @Caml3 Месяц назад +2

      When I hear seasoned sports journalists, podcasters, etc reference that site, especially the recruiting rankings, they do usually say "two four seven", not "twenty-four seven". I think Squidtard's on the money here.

    • @thenightowls2804
      @thenightowls2804 Месяц назад

      @@Caml3 That doesn't make any sense, though. 247 obviously refers to 24/7

    • @ALY-xc7fl
      @ALY-xc7fl 3 дня назад

      @@thenightowls2804right, but it isn’t 24/7. It’s 247. The way you say 247 out loud is “two-four-seven”. If it was pronounced “twenty four-seven” there would have to be a separator in between the 4 and 7, like there is when it is written 24/7.
      If they wanted it to be pronounced that way, the name would be written “24/7sports” but it isn’t. Its written “247sports” which is pronounced “two-four-seven sports”. Thats just how English works.

    In an upcoming video you should talk about the miracle in Missoula. It’s one the best come from behind last second wins in college football history and it doesn’t get a whole lot of coverage

    Fun fact: at one point during 2007, La.-Monroe had the longest active win streak in FBS! Yeah, that was a CRAZY year! Seriously, what was up with that!? Something in the water?

    My youth pastor was a die hard Tennessee fan and named his son Kiffin when he was the coach. Very sad decision. 😂

    Few more inaccuracies in part 2 were the revamped mod. No it didn’t add the cfb playoffs they had a third party program that helped make the playoffs possible, no they’re not developers of cfb 25 rather were more likely designers for the game since they didn’t actually break the game code and aren’t developers, and that was it.

    College football announcers just absolutely suck in general. Gus is somehow one of the more prolific ones… that tells you all you need to know. Football color commentary is weak in general compared to other sports, and CFB commentators are the worst in the business. Fact

    When players go down to stop a offense like with Ole Miss vs Tennessee just make it a five yard penalty automatic first down, every incident after make add 5 yards. if a player is guilty twice eject them.
    Suspend the coach.

    I thought Joe P was the one who told the school but the school never did anything about it? Could be wrong though or thought their was a ton of inaccuracies in the story and that the fbi pressured him into saying stuff could be wrong though
