STIGMA AND DISCRIMINATION IN SCHOOLS

There is a Special unit for learners with learning disabilities and physically challenged at our school who are being stigmatized.
The stigma they experience is often the result of assumptions, for example that people with disabilities are unable to learn or that their impairment are catching. Therefore, we would like fill that gap by correcting other pupils if they make un-supportive remarks as well as have respect for physically challenged learners as individuals, rather than being defined by their disabilities.
