Thanks to Acheron, Firefly and Boothill ignoring weakness people have forgotten that you cant really brute force off element anymore. Since the start of 2.0 not even Dhil or Jingliu can comfortably clear when off element for non-whales. The current moc is tailored to fire, imaginary and lightning break, so its no surprise Jade doesnt do well there. Wait until the bug or the deer make an appearance, Jades kit is specifically designed to counter fights like those.
E0 with average relics he absolutely struggles off element. If he didn't his usage rate wouldn't have dropped off a cliff, you rarely ever see anyone use him without e2s1.
I can only brute force w my jing liu and thats only cause shes e2 s1 with pretty good relics, and even then its sub obtimal brute forcing. People are sleeping on jade for now but wait till theres a fight that favors her
Hilariously enough, Jade is great at brute forcing Past, Present and Eternal Show because it's an AoE-friendly boss with shared health. She is probably one of the best DPS that isn't on-element for fighting it.
It's another Topaz situation, people will start complaining about other ccs using Jade for PF clears. People just want 100 MoC characters, but don't realise that PF literally gives the same amount of stellar jades.
People want characters than are good in all the modes. Jades only good in pf, firefly is miles better in moc and apocalyptic shadow and is still good but not as good as jade in pf. Jade just has less value.
It helps that, like Topaz, her list of available options on release are kinda sad. When your best buff targets are Herta and Blade, you'll probably get a better character later that will make you shine.
Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they made PF harder in the future to where characters that aren't dedicated AoE really struggle. Either way u don't need Jade but she's not really bad value if you're struggling to clear that type of end game. If you don't wanna pull Jade other substitutes that are F2P accessible are Herta, Himeko, and Serval.
Yeah the current reason why people dont like jade is you can sort of make jingliu or any destruction work in pf by getting 30k/40k. But people have no problem pulling for boothill who is miserable in pf
honestly jade is really good at pf, blade jade cleared side 1 w the same score as himeko herta on side 2 so if you dont already have a strong second team besides himeko herta shes a extremely solid pull

(moc and as can also have 4 stars but i meant that in pure fiction, you dont need as much investment on ur characters and get a decent amount of score)
Its abit weird that PF is literally as important as MOC and AS but people complains about Jade that "omg this aoe character is made for an aoe end game" and i have seen so many people complained about can't clearing PF too like huh? If you're looking for an moc unit then literally roll anybody else it's like someone complaining that Boothill isn't good because he's bad in PF
But I think it's cause she's for PF, and we already have herta for EVERYONE, and she's busted........also there's just alot of good options people have for pf like the DoT chars (beside luka), himeko, argenti, serval, blade, acheron, jingliu........EVERYONE has at least one of those chars, and none of them are as good as jade for PF, but they work GOOD, and it's just better to pull a different char then jade, cause there's already ALOT of PF options,

@The_CodFish69 This is the exactly the point. I have all those characters that clear MoC and also good in PF. Even Kafka and Blackswan DOT work in PF. Jade's value decreased alot because she is way too niche of a character that does mediocre damage. E6 Herta do way more damage than her lol
People just want a dps that is good in all the content we already have good options for PF with Clara, Herta and Himeko but they can suffer in the other modes. When its time to spend jades on a character personally want to know they don't just get benched because its not PF time anymore. No doubt Jade is good for all content and lots of teams though they just locked it behind E1.

It's kinda crazy how many people don't do pure fiction. I actually think it's really fun, but I have friends who don't even touch it. One of which, I just found out recently didn't even have it unlocked. Ya'll are missing out on free jades every reset, come on XD
i mean, it's not like you'd have to go all the way to stage 4 or anything. even just up to stage 3 on pure fiction, assuming you 3 star everything which honestly isn't that hard, gives over 500 jades (like 540 i think, might be more). On every single reset along with other clear rewards too. You don't even need to max out traces for the characters so 25 days is just excessive lol
HSR players will spend hours complaining about how bad of a problem powercreep is in the game, and that every new character gets closer and closer to killing the game with how meta they are, and then 3 seconds later complain that a very useful unit with a specific gamemode they excel at doesn’t completely eclipse Acheron and firefly by all conceivable metrics in every gamemode. They simply wanted her to excel at pure fiction while still being useful everywhere else. You know... How every other DPS that isn't Hunt path specifically. Jingliu? Excels at moc and at apocalyptic shadows while being ok at pure fiction. Acheron excels everywhere. Firefly excels everywhere but is bad in pure fiction. Himeko excels at pure fiction but is ok everywhere else too. Jade excels at pure fiction but sucks ass everywhere else. Just like Herta. Yet Herta is free with all eidolons and Jade costs up to 180 pulls. Jade literally NEEDS E1 as a LIMITED 5* in 2.3 to compete with Himeko, a standard banner 5* from literally Release. Who you can get guaranteed for practically free after 300 standard pulls if you so desire.

If Jade was released pre-PF, I'd agree with the negative sentiment. But she'll be just fine right now. There's nothing wrong w/ characters having a niche if they excel at it better than anyone else. If it wasn't for modes like PF, Herta and Himeko's true strength in their specific niche would've never been worth utilizing. Jade is gonna be fine in the long run(though I'd def recommend getting her E1 if you want to use her outside of PF).
I do think there's a problem with limiting where a character can be used behind an e1. The same way you say "I'd recommend you getting E1", I'd give the advice I recommend you skip Jade and pull 2 units you can actually use where you want to
I honestly don't get it, people just act like pf is baby mode compared to MoC and always say the same thing "just use himeko herta", like yeah sure they are good in PF but if you can't break units himeko is literally useless, id rather have Jade who you could use all the time and clear pf easy.
Firefly technique go crazy, why spends pulls on a character for the game mode where we have the most budget options from E5 Herta on every account, Himeko,Clara and limited teams like DOT which no sustain with acheron is free stars. @@haloman12378 Personally the units I got for free have done the job for me, I dont see the point in spending 180 pulls for a singular game mode I have never struggled in or ever seen any difficulty spike. Himeko literally can break now simply by having firefly on the team and I also now have a busted unit for MOC and AS 180 pulls with 1 unit boosts me in all 3 gamemodes. Herta just throw on a team of her own with my supports and boom side 2. Pull acheron and go sustainless with DOT team. My issue is that PF has never been a none issues cause usually you already have more than enough shit to clear it and usually whatever I pull for MOC or AS has an additional effect for me in pure fiction. Having one character that excels in that game mode and is just mediocre in the others doesnt sit right with me as f2p

I've just been unlucky for losing 5050s of what I get (no himeko, no clara, no welt) so for me jade makes PF no longer a nightmare to do and shes been surprisingly good for other game modes as well which has been nice

I pulled Jade specifically for pure fiction so I agree with you. Right now I can only easily clear pure fiction during the dot rotations (yes, I'm a nihility fan), so it made sense for me to pull for Jade. I don't want to keep resetting pure fiction during the follow up attack rotations so she's a no brainer for me.
Same ! I usually have a miserable time when the buffs in PF heavily favour FUA units because I don't have any built one outside Herta and I'm glad Jade fits that purpose perfectly... I don't understand how a character designed to provide unparalleled efficiency in clearing PF stages and working as intended is deemed bad by people...
Yea for real. Im a FuA playstyle enjoyer as well. Her damage is insane in divergent umiverse. Even when shes frozen she stacks her counter and its hillarious to watch when she unfreezes
Anecdote Related to This: TLDR; I didn't play for a year and Jade just instantly brought my account to a level where I am close to full clearing PF. I had stopped playing HSR during 1.0 when I was TL30. I always knew that I would come back to it, but the content that was present in 1.0 wasn't grabbing me and I was playing other games. So, I did what I frequently do with Hoyoverse games, I put it down and waited for them to add a year or more worth of content. I came back to the game just before 2.3 launched. I picked up Fu Xuan to supplement the Jing Yuan, Himeko, Clara, and Seele that I had on my account from when I played at launch. Then, when 2.3 came out, I got E2S1 Firefly and E2S1 Ruan Mei (I am not F2P). I grinded through all of the backlog content, used my resources to build up my Firefly team as much as possible and got a very strong team that can clear basically any content that I put in front of it. Hit TL60 as soon as possible and have that team 90% built, though my Relics aren't flawless and I will need to revisit them to finish off the Skills/Traces. Still, they are most of the way built. Now I am in a position where I need to start thinking about a second team. I already have several decent FUA units like Himeko and Clara (plus Herta as a 4 Star), so Jade works well with those units (Jing Yuan is even semi-reasonable with Jade). The one mode that the Firefly team doesn't absolutely demolish is Pure Fiction (though definitely puts me in the 20k - 25k point range easy, so a second team getting 35k - 40k will full clear). And investing heavily into building Jing Yuan or Seele to do Apocalytic Shadow and/or MoC seems less appealing as Relics are by far my account's weakest aspect (I quit before getting to Relic grind at launch, so I basically started working on my Relics 2-5 weeks ago considering the time it took to get up for TL50 from TL30 where I started) and both of them have pretty rough Relic/Trace investment requirements to be reasonable for clearing current AS or MoC. So, I pulled E0S1 for Jade (tried for E1 to open up future Team Comp options, but lost the 50/50 and I'm done chasing it. I can get her on Rerun if I get Topaz in future). My Himeko, Herta and Jade are barely even built with bad Relics, minimally leveled Skills/Traces and not even Lvl 80, but throwing them together with the units from my Firefly team plus my Fu Xuan (Her and Gallagher are the only viable sustains that I have right now), I was instantly able to get 11/12 Stars on Pure Fiction and I'm like 1000 points away from 60k on PF4. By the end of this patch, I feel like I will probably have Himeko, Herta and Jade decently built (Jade actually is already pretty close to built, though a Quantum Sphere is needed and my relics are pretty marginal and will need to be upgraded eventually) and may be able to get my 12/12 in Pure Fiction. And for 2.4 + 2.5, I have a decent idea of where to focus next. Huohuo is probably being rerun in 2.4 and I need to get her as another Sustain option for when Fu Xuan and Gallagher aren't ideal (Debuff Cleansing has been an issue, though I don't yet know how much Fu Xuan's A6 Trace will help with that since I have needed to use my Echo of War runs to get my Firefly team built and I only hit TL60 earlier this week to finally get Fu Xuan that last ascension to even unlock it). Black Swan is also rumored to be the other 2.4 Rerun and she seems like a reasonable pickup to start a DOT team (Kafka possibly being rerun in 2.5 to fill out that team). Yunli and Jiaoqiu are both likely skips for me. Not entirely sure about 2.5, but Lingsha is rumored and seems like she might upgrade over Gallagher. It'll be something I need to think about, as Gallagher is really strong. But, I think my main focus is going to be on hitting the reruns to try to get a solid DOT team.
Update: Another day of skill investment and improving my Herta/Himeko slightly and I just got my 12/12 in Pure Fiction. Jade easily carried to 40k on her side when paired with Herta. My Herta still kind of sucks BTW.
This. If the game would have given me Himeko instead of a 4th Bailu or a 3rd Gepard. I would have probably skipped her. But here we are and she does what I expect of her fantastically. No complaints
@@raken69 Exactly, if you have no Himeko, Jade is close for a must-pull for Pure Fiction. However, I have no Himeko and no Jade, so I clear PF with Firefly and DoTcheron now.

I think a lot of the community underestimate her and are letting things outside of the game alter their perception of her. I know there’s been a lot of silly drama over Jade involving Topaz and Aventurine. I tried her in every piece of content and she actually really surprised me. I expected her to be pathetic in apocalyptic shadow and memory of chaos because of the constant negativity around her but she actually put out respectable numbers. She did perfectly fine. She’s the queen of PF but she isn’t bad at the other game modes. It incentivized me to get her E1 and S1 and I’m personally very happy with Jade. I think a lot of the community is an echo chamber and tend to overlook certain things. I’m not a whale and only get the battle pass and daily pass. I to this day don’t have himeko as a day 1 player. To get himeko I have to lose my 50/50 in the limited banner and get her out of 7 standard banner characters. Or get lucky and get her out of 14 possible results from the standard banner. Unless you spend a lot or get lucky you probably aren’t getting himeko like me. Jade has a lot of value for people in similar situations and newer accounts. if you invest and get her E1S1 she gets amazing imo. I love playing her with Topaz, and Aventurine! I think it’s okay and healthy for this game to have specialist characters. Imo the I can do it all characters akin to Acheron are unhealthy and skew balance in a very bad way because they’re broken damage wise and content will be balanced around said character. So players without them are screwed.
Yeah she's actually quite decent, I'm not really pulling her as I kind of want Yunli more and getting 1 copy and 1 Lightcone is easier with the pulls (Especially since I have 50 pity on the LC banner but 0 Pity on the Character banner) I have then getting 2 copies of a Character, but when Jade does rerun I Intend on E1S1ing her, & I do think she's basically a AOE Topaz, bound to get her Ratio like Synergy before we know it, and FUA is the funnest Architype.
@@IdeasAreBulletproof I pulled her to use with Yunli and other future AoE counter units aside from the usual synergies, because that's where the real potential is for attack frequency: using the enemy turns against them on top of the team actions. FUA is one of the most cracked mechanics in the game, people are definitely shortsighted about it still.
the problem with jade is that without her e1, she's pretty much screwed outside of pure fiction unless you have some godlike relics with teammates who also has godlike relics. so why spend 180 pulls (if you even win both 50/50) if you can just pull a f2p character who doesn't need eidolons or lightcones to be great in ALL gamemodes?
@@winstongutual My dude. Her damage is fully AoE, and so is Herta's who is usually paired with her, she's not screwed as the enemies will have the hp depleted at the same time. It's fail-proof design any time you're not trying to bruteforce her or her team setup. Look at the quantum enemies we have that are expected to bring her into: the Swarm, Abundant Deer, Dunn, Cocolia, and so on. Do you realize they're all AoE content being outside of PF? Don't you see hunt players complaining there's too much AoE in the game? She's great in all gamemodes. This is what people have been sleeping on about AoE characters for an entire year.
Pulled her purely bc I like her character + design + animations but also she easily beats PF on top of having a ton of synergies. Im an IPC lover so im hoping they add a future stoneheart that can benefit from Jade's hp drain mechanic like Blade does.
Your point about Jade not double dipping into PF and other modes is exactly the reason why I consider her bad (at least for my account). I have several other characters who can do PF and another mode just fine. I've already built herta and himeko and throw in an off/sub dps with some supports and PF isn't hard. I don't see a point in getting her for my own use. However if people haven't obtained a Himeko or haven't built Herta I understand
jade is definitely a god in pure fiction and that's valid to have a character that excels in that, i think the reason why everybody is miffed because she could easily be usable in moc if her e1 was part of her base kit or something, it just seems like an incredibly obvious spending bait that feels lowbrow for mihoyo. as it stands at e0, she's usable in 1/3 out of replenishing endgame modes and that isn't compelling enough for most people. i'd say most other characters are at a 2/3 with investment and the OP characters can be used in all modes
Personally I also find her more than usable for AS, as a sub dps and using a Destruction Dps, Balde is the obvioud choice. But Clara, Acheron as the Nihility option (even when not using a second Nihility without E2), well played even Jingliu sounds like an option. A super perfect synergistic team is not always needed, and it definitely can help you clear the endgame content. Not to mention she is great for farming, for messing around in Simulated universe even making endgame runs on the three modes of it. People simpm expect every new character to make the last one useless en comparison, and then complain because that happened
I think you need one pure fiction unit. So in my case I picked up Argenti when he first came up. And because of that I can still clear pure fiction with max score each time with a secondary team of Herta and Himiko. But with that I can see why there is less value. Since I can still clear with argenti. Why do I need another pure fiction unit. And until the day comes where I can't clear. The units for pure fiction are not really useful in other locations.

yeah it’s perfectly fine to not enjoy a character’s kit/playstyle but for people seriously making the argument that Jade is bad bc she was designed w/ a specific gamemode in mind is kinda weird to me? like not to be that guy cause i also love this game, but this isn’t genshin where you can brute-force almost all content with any character… HSR has different endgames to cater to different niches of DPS so it makes sense for the devs to create characters to fill out the roster for these niches… and if you don’t like how these modes heavily encourage specific characters then we still have SU where you can make almost character/team comp work!
The problem is Star Rail already made characters that are good in all game modes and can brute force like Acheron and FIrefly so seeing a character that only good in one game mode just looks like a bad deal. No doubt we have seen the last of Hoyo's favoritism either they clearly make some characters a step above others. It is fun to use different characters though enjoying using Clara right now.

The difference is that the current best PF units are already non-limited ones in Herta and Himeko, so most people can clear the game mode with what you're already getting inevitably just by playing the game. You don't have the same luxury for MoC and AS.
As en erudition main himeko is very reliant on breaking,or you want himeko x herta. Jades value is that she can make any other erudition character shine with similar synergy. Often times you’re using himeko and herta together, besides argenti (who most don’t have), every other erudition character needs help in PF that Jade can contribute to
Also her having a drain and Himeko having a buff thats only active when shes above 80% is a bit of a weird anti-synergy. Aventurine is the premium FuA sustain and he can't heal so you can make 10 attacks with Himeko before it becomes a problem. I dont really know how many times Himeko attacks in a PF run on average but her Ults and FuA are frequent enough that you're probably losing that buff at some point near the end. I don't think its the worst thing in the world and you can always just run Abundance instead but its a little bit of friction in the Jade + Himeko comp that doesn't exist in the Jade + Herta comp for example. Jade + Herta might actually just go sustainless tbh with Robin + RM for example
@@kennethyoung7457she gets lots of crit dmg for free with traces, has good f2p lc options, you only try to get as much crit rate as possible (with quantum set or fua set) and that's it, no crazy stats
The problem is she's super amazing at Pure Fiction sure, but clearing Pure Fiction is already pretty easy with units like Acheron or Firefly or Argenti or Himeko and Herta. So what's the point in getting this hyper specific Pure Fiction monster when most people have been dealing with Pure Fiction already with one of their answers? Most people probably have a Himeko if they've been playing since launch (again MOST people no everyone), meanwhile EVERYONE has an E5-E6 Herta since they're given to you for free. So what does Jade realistically offer you that you need besides mommy dommy bait. Overall point, if you like the characters than pull for them. In the word's of Silver Wolf "Dont hesitate. Just pull. If ur asking, u want it.". But if youre looking for a meta defining unit in the way that Acheron and Firefly are, who are great in MOC and Pure Fiction and Apocalyptic Shadow, then you can look elsewhere.
I mean now that we have 3 end game modes, each of them are as important as the other. So idk why people seem to only hold moc to that standard when u need units for each of those end game modes
@@doublereel-real checks of account diversity are still a reason to not just write off certain units imo. At the end of the day, each mode takes up the same amount of time in a patch. If ur moc is struggling, pull for characters that do well in moc. Vice versa with Apoc shadow and PF. I’m all about what teams make the modes the most auto-able.
Yeah, I found it confusing why everyone was so upset at Jade not being good outside PF. Like, yes that is why I’m deciding not to pull for her since I currently have a 50/50 loss from going for Firefly E2 (actually giving me my Himeko finally, funnily enough) and I think some rerun options are more important despite not having good PF runs (as well as MoC)… but I’ve seen her in action. In her preferred gamemode, she’s incredible. I even plan to get her on rerun at some point because of that. But yeah, it’s funny how everyone complains about power creep then the moment Hoyo goes against that to create a character that doesn’t do everything, suddenly it’s all "wtf why is she shit". If you’re that desperate to use her anywhere, go for E1.
I finally built my Herta and between her, my new Jade, and my E2 Himeko, I got my first 12-star PF run! I also don't have any 5-star Quantum units except Sparkle and Silver Wolf, so I really needed the Quantum damage. She was a perfect pull for my account.
I struggle with PF but i clear it. Yes, Jade is beneficial, but I have Argenti and I need to save. it's not that I wouldn't want her. Thankfully, I think Feixiao will be what I need, and ultimately, she's a character I really want. So yeah, some pain points in PF is worth it
on my main account i didn't have any limited 5* supports and my second best main dps was blade so getting jade helped with my blade team and helped me with PF
This is EXACTLY why I pulled her. My f2p account is build for MoC and AS. They have basically the same roster. But PF is such a different beast, you need a tiny little pool of characters specific for that game mode. And here comes Jade.
Pulled for Jade in my alt precisely because pure fiction is my weakest link in that account. I do understand why people underestimate that mode though, it's super easy if you have the right units, and Himeko+Herta is just a free win on one side so you only need to worry about one other side.
Some people forget that Himeko isn't a unit you just always happen to get lol... I've been playing since launch and I still do not have a single copy of Himeko... Jade for me is a godsend for my PF needs and bonus pts for having a design that I actually like...
@@knmrt2760 Yeah she is, forget about the 300 selector? If you don't have her and chose someone else (like Bronya maybe), then it's your fault. I barely use Bronya nowadays, but Himeko has been in every single one of my PF runs since it got released.
I think she is incredible. Especially when played with Robin and Aventurine she pops off hard. And with Aventurine you have now the option to put the contract on him which makes the last slot a free flex pick. You can squeeze in pretty much anything that can either do a lot of AoE damage or a secondary harmony unit. So there is here and there some wiggle room for flexibility and funny team comps.
I'm mostly skipping because I already have E1s1 Himeko and Herta. I put my FF artifacts on Himeko and use break team, and she does really well clearing Pure Fiction.
Totally agree. I can clear any content in the game, but I've always struggled with pf and didn't enjoy it. When I pulled Jade she simplified it so much that, im not getting annoyed at having to do it anymore. She was my pf jesus and made the mode so much more enjoyable.
Thats is exactly what I did, I pulled her because i have no real PF Teams and I struggle to clear PF consistently. And now I have a real Incentive to finally Build all the units for PF.
Jade makes the team so free that I got 35k with her and himeko's team while jade was level 6 on her tracess and didnt have all the outside skills and himeko's traces were untouched because I forgot to level them. This was the first PF I couldn't 60k easily and jade solved that.

When I first tried pure fiction I cursed at it very bad. Now that the bonuses fit my favourite fua characters it is finally doable. Pulled Jade and very happy.

I did the newest PF (node 1) with my acheron team, it didnt go well. Jade x Clara got the job done. maybe its just me, but having Jade on my account give me more options and comfort for PF. Not to mention, erudition path is just so fun to play.
So, i clear PF with Herta in one team and Himeko in another. Just put random bullshit with them and after few tries they get max rewards. Free units, btw. I can't do this in MOC. Couldn't care less about Jade, couldn't care less about better Clara and male Gufan. E2 Feixiao, I'm saving for you.
I think Jade's E1 should have been part of her base kit because it makes her so much more flexible and makes her viable in MoC, apocalyptic and Sim Uni stuff. I love her but I have her at E1 which makes her feel A LOT more different

She's been a huge boon to my account since Pure Fiction has been a bit of a pain point for me. I can usually still clear with full stars, but it's been a lot more hard-earned than MoC and AS for my account, so Jade has been a breath of fresh air for it.
I have found that she is so fun with Herta and Himeko. Pure fiction would be an absolute walk in the park with her. But, I'm saving for Jiaoqiu for my Acheron team. So, definitely on the rerun.
Finally raised Herta, never got Himeko and Jade is the first Pure Fiction character I pulled on. I also think Jade will get a character to boost in the future that will really make her awesome.
i mean she is okay :shrug: she just replaces himeko or herta in PF (rip himeko if you cant get breaks). she works in the current MOC because of linked health. can be used in mat farming. but unless you simp the charecter. she isnt worth your saved jades. period.
The reason why people don’t like it is because of Firefly meta and flexibility. Most players want to most bang for their dollar and Jade is only op in PF.
I can already see in a few months how people realise her value when maybe some new 4* that have synergy with her drops and she becomes a beast. Same thing happens all the time, like Kokomi and Kuki. That's why i try to get at least 1 new 5* per patch. So that in the future i have less regrets of not pulling someone.
It is too optimistic to think that way, it is a 50/50, just as there are characters that improve with the passage of updates as Kuki, there are also characters like Dehya, Shenhe, Wanderer, Itto, etc. that with the passage of updates only get worse because they never get units that benefit them much.
The problem is that Jade already has perfect teammates like Herta and Argenti its not like she is lacking synergy she is just not that big of a deal. Shes a dps with support for erudition units that are already good in PF with harmony characters. They locked her single target dps synergy behind E1 which could help out single target characters that attack a lot clear the mobs while they focus on the boss.
If you’re pulling her now because you THINK there is going to be a future option… just wait for the re-run that way the pull is actually concrete and not luck based… Also the argument is just that she isn’t bad… she isn’t bad but she just isn’t a big deal as a whole… she is perfectly average as a unit that does great in PF… not something to write home about so it makes pulling for the sake of worrying about the future less valuable… also Pf is a game mode where sustains are usually not used so the importance of where she would slot in is less valuable since the other units would make up for the dps loss of where the sustainer would be… so in a way she has inherently less value because the game mode really doesn’t need sustains
Kafka makes PF free, blade does too under the right circmstances, Acheron can clear moc, herta can clear moc, Seele, Clara (Like blade). There are just a lot of option already. The main problem is jade is only for those who feel like they want to go past that 30k and get full 40k clears. If you finish 12 stars moc and lets say you only have Seele and JL, 2 not so great PF char and is also really good in MOC can clear PF to 60k just fine or even just under 60k in the final level is also fine. At the end of the day, it is almost 100 percent better to just pull a unit that can cover multiple end game content. Pulling for one like this will not allow you to have fun in other end game mode earlier as you have limited resources and less characters you can realistic pull with said limited resource.

I have break team with Firefly, i have my Acheron team, and my DOT Kafka and BlackSwan... I Have Himeko and Herta but I'm missing something... weII because most MOC units can do most of the game modes of the game easiIy.. whiIe Pure Fiction units cant do aII but mostIy just Pure Fiction. Thats why pIayers wouid rather not spend on Pure Fiction units, due not wasting the resources they have.
We need a Support character wich debuffs enemys so the main target gets addition damage if u hit multiple target , and if there is no addition enemy the new support would summon tokens wich add addition damage to ur main target
Jade seems pretty cool especially with Herta and Himeko. Now if we can have a healer that has follow up attacks that would be an insane combo. I wasn't gonna pull for her but the Jade and Herta trial really changed my mind 😭
I only started playing near the end of aventurine's banner and I'm having trouble in PF since I had no strong erudiiton chars/no acheron/no blast chars besides my ff break team. I mainly just prioritized my ipc fua team for end game content. Currently building herta too and am excited to use them together. Jade is gonna help so much
I don't have mommy himeko and now PF is a breeze with jade. I could clear it full stars before but it still was a pain. I have skipped every erudition character until now.
The thing is I think that with the release of AS pf characters wouldn’t really be as valuable as characters tailor made for moc since those characters can clear both AS and MoC, I would rather have a character that can clear 2 game modes potentially 3 since both acheron and firefly can clear all 3 comfortably (also yunli but I wouldn’t say anything more since it’s leak territory) rather than having a character that can only excel at one game mode. On top of that people also forgot that pf is a lot more forgiving than as and moc when it comes to rewards since pf gives you a reward per star not per 3 stars.
Pure Fiction is still free jades if you are able to complete it & if a character can make it easier to do that, than i don't see anything wrong with that assumption. I usually struggle in PF cause i don't really have the necessary characters to achieve the 60k points for a full clear. Once i got Jade it made it so much easier to get that full clear & i have no issue using Jade in just that content. Also i think so many are disregarding Sim/Divergent universe and Jade is so much fun in that content too.
Tbh I wouldn't oppose the idea of making Pf as hard as Moc so that people actually have incentives to try and pull for Pf units. As of rn, Pf is way too easy compared to Moc and As
The thing is pretty much everyone has a herta and himiko which makes pf such a joke that you don't really need to pull a unit that's only good in it. Its like if we were given a free acheron and firefly then there would be people saying don't pull for a unit that's only good in moc. I think jade would be a lot better received if we didn't get such powerful aoe characters for free.

Herta himeko makes 40 k easily meaning that you only have to do 20k in the second part for max reward something that even mid pf characters like dhil or Jing Liu can do. So yeah, pretty overkill to pull for jade if you already got himeko herta, it's an upgrade nonetheless.
Eventually, even if himeko and herta can do the first half, it'll probably get to a point where non-pf-dedicated chars will struggle too much to even get 20-30k. Tho still, I doubt they'll fall off anytime soon, but when patch 7.0 comes around, I can only assume from the general direction moc is goin, it's probably not gonna get any easier
I'm one of those people who still don't have Himeko and Clara, even though playing since launch. So for me Jade is pretty valuable in no-DoT PF ^^ besides, her animations are SO GOOD to look at. I love that purple snake and the smirk Jade does before each FUA
This is pretty much exactly why I pulled her. Been playing since 1.5. I finally 12-starred the most recent MoC and Apoc Shadow but Pure Fiction has always been my worst game mode. I really like Argenti more as a character, but given everything I've pulled on my account so far Jade was just the higher value unit for me. And I also just love the FUA playstyle and find it fun to just watch everything go brrrr, so there's that. I'm tempering my expectations since of course the currect PF buff is highly tuned to her, but I am still happy to say that getting her let me 12-star it for the first time, so for me she was worth it. Maybe someday I will be able to get our lovable beauty boy too.

I will say, it requires her E1, but with her E1 the characters she combos with, and how good she is outside of pure fiction SKYROCKETS. I got real lucky, E1 in 53 pulls, amd ive been running her in everything for fun, only really hasnt been to good in Apocolyptic shadow for me, but also im just struggling horrendously in AS.

Thanks to Acheron, Firefly and Boothill ignoring weakness people have forgotten that you cant really brute force off element anymore. Since the start of 2.0 not even Dhil or Jingliu can comfortably clear when off element for non-whales. The current moc is tailored to fire, imaginary and lightning break, so its no surprise Jade doesnt do well there. Wait until the bug or the deer make an appearance, Jades kit is specifically designed to counter fights like those.

Hilariously enough, Jade is great at brute forcing Past, Present and Eternal Show because it's an AoE-friendly boss with shared health. She is probably one of the best DPS that isn't on-element for fighting it.
It's another Topaz situation, people will start complaining about other ccs using Jade for PF clears. People just want 100 MoC characters, but don't realise that PF literally gives the same amount of stellar jades.

People want characters than are good in all the modes. Jades only good in pf, firefly is miles better in moc and apocalyptic shadow and is still good but not as good as jade in pf. Jade just has less value.
It helps that, like Topaz, her list of available options on release are kinda sad. When your best buff targets are Herta and Blade, you'll probably get a better character later that will make you shine.

Yeah the current reason why people dont like jade is you can sort of make jingliu or any destruction work in pf by getting 30k/40k. But people have no problem pulling for boothill who is miserable in pf

(moc and as can also have 4 stars but i meant that in pure fiction, you dont need as much investment on ur characters and get a decent amount of score)

People just want a dps that is good in all the content we already have good options for PF with Clara, Herta and Himeko but they can suffer in the other modes. When its time to spend jades on a character personally want to know they don't just get benched because its not PF time anymore. No doubt Jade is good for all content and lots of teams though they just locked it behind E1.

On every single reset along with other clear rewards too. You don't even need to max out traces for the characters so 25 days is just excessive lol

Jade literally NEEDS E1 as a LIMITED 5* in 2.3 to compete with Himeko, a standard banner 5* from literally Release. Who you can get guaranteed for practically free after 300 standard pulls if you so desire.

If Jade was released pre-PF, I'd agree with the negative sentiment. But she'll be just fine right now.
There's nothing wrong w/ characters having a niche if they excel at it better than anyone else. If it wasn't for modes like PF, Herta and Himeko's true strength in their specific niche would've never been worth utilizing. Jade is gonna be fine in the long run(though I'd def recommend getting her E1 if you want to use her outside of PF).
I do think there's a problem with limiting where a character can be used behind an e1. The same way you say "I'd recommend you getting E1", I'd give the advice I recommend you skip Jade and pull 2 units you can actually use where you want to

Himeko literally can break now simply by having firefly on the team and I also now have a busted unit for MOC and AS 180 pulls with 1 unit boosts me in all 3 gamemodes. Herta just throw on a team of her own with my supports and boom side 2. Pull acheron and go sustainless with DOT team.
My issue is that PF has never been a none issues cause usually you already have more than enough shit to clear it and usually whatever I pull for MOC or AS has an additional effect for me in pure fiction.
Having one character that excels in that game mode and is just mediocre in the others doesnt sit right with me as f2p

I've just been unlucky for losing 5050s of what I get (no himeko, no clara, no welt) so for me jade makes PF no longer a nightmare to do and shes been surprisingly good for other game modes as well which has been nice

I pulled Jade specifically for pure fiction so I agree with you. Right now I can only easily clear pure fiction during the dot rotations (yes, I'm a nihility fan), so it made sense for me to pull for Jade. I don't want to keep resetting pure fiction during the follow up attack rotations so she's a no brainer for me.
Same ! I usually have a miserable time when the buffs in PF heavily favour FUA units because I don't have any built one outside Herta and I'm glad Jade fits that purpose perfectly... I don't understand how a character designed to provide unparalleled efficiency in clearing PF stages and working as intended is deemed bad by people...

Anecdote Related to This:
TLDR; I didn't play for a year and Jade just instantly brought my account to a level where I am close to full clearing PF.
I had stopped playing HSR during 1.0 when I was TL30. I always knew that I would come back to it, but the content that was present in 1.0 wasn't grabbing me and I was playing other games. So, I did what I frequently do with Hoyoverse games, I put it down and waited for them to add a year or more worth of content. I came back to the game just before 2.3 launched. I picked up Fu Xuan to supplement the Jing Yuan, Himeko, Clara, and Seele that I had on my account from when I played at launch. Then, when 2.3 came out, I got E2S1 Firefly and E2S1 Ruan Mei (I am not F2P). I grinded through all of the backlog content, used my resources to build up my Firefly team as much as possible and got a very strong team that can clear basically any content that I put in front of it. Hit TL60 as soon as possible and have that team 90% built, though my Relics aren't flawless and I will need to revisit them to finish off the Skills/Traces. Still, they are most of the way built.
Now I am in a position where I need to start thinking about a second team. I already have several decent FUA units like Himeko and Clara (plus Herta as a 4 Star), so Jade works well with those units (Jing Yuan is even semi-reasonable with Jade). The one mode that the Firefly team doesn't absolutely demolish is Pure Fiction (though definitely puts me in the 20k - 25k point range easy, so a second team getting 35k - 40k will full clear). And investing heavily into building Jing Yuan or Seele to do Apocalytic Shadow and/or MoC seems less appealing as Relics are by far my account's weakest aspect (I quit before getting to Relic grind at launch, so I basically started working on my Relics 2-5 weeks ago considering the time it took to get up for TL50 from TL30 where I started) and both of them have pretty rough Relic/Trace investment requirements to be reasonable for clearing current AS or MoC. So, I pulled E0S1 for Jade (tried for E1 to open up future Team Comp options, but lost the 50/50 and I'm done chasing it. I can get her on Rerun if I get Topaz in future). My Himeko, Herta and Jade are barely even built with bad Relics, minimally leveled Skills/Traces and not even Lvl 80, but throwing them together with the units from my Firefly team plus my Fu Xuan (Her and Gallagher are the only viable sustains that I have right now), I was instantly able to get 11/12 Stars on Pure Fiction and I'm like 1000 points away from 60k on PF4.
By the end of this patch, I feel like I will probably have Himeko, Herta and Jade decently built (Jade actually is already pretty close to built, though a Quantum Sphere is needed and my relics are pretty marginal and will need to be upgraded eventually) and may be able to get my 12/12 in Pure Fiction. And for 2.4 + 2.5, I have a decent idea of where to focus next. Huohuo is probably being rerun in 2.4 and I need to get her as another Sustain option for when Fu Xuan and Gallagher aren't ideal (Debuff Cleansing has been an issue, though I don't yet know how much Fu Xuan's A6 Trace will help with that since I have needed to use my Echo of War runs to get my Firefly team built and I only hit TL60 earlier this week to finally get Fu Xuan that last ascension to even unlock it). Black Swan is also rumored to be the other 2.4 Rerun and she seems like a reasonable pickup to start a DOT team (Kafka possibly being rerun in 2.5 to fill out that team). Yunli and Jiaoqiu are both likely skips for me. Not entirely sure about 2.5, but Lingsha is rumored and seems like she might upgrade over Gallagher. It'll be something I need to think about, as Gallagher is really strong. But, I think my main focus is going to be on hitting the reruns to try to get a solid DOT team.
Update: Another day of skill investment and improving my Herta/Himeko slightly and I just got my 12/12 in Pure Fiction. Jade easily carried to 40k on her side when paired with Herta. My Herta still kind of sucks BTW.

I think a lot of the community underestimate her and are letting things outside of the game alter their perception of her. I know there’s been a lot of silly drama over Jade involving Topaz and Aventurine.
I tried her in every piece of content and she actually really surprised me. I expected her to be pathetic in apocalyptic shadow and memory of chaos because of the constant negativity around her but she actually put out respectable numbers. She did perfectly fine. She’s the queen of PF but she isn’t bad at the other game modes. It incentivized me to get her E1 and S1 and I’m personally very happy with Jade.
I think a lot of the community is an echo chamber and tend to overlook certain things. I’m not a whale and only get the battle pass and daily pass. I to this day don’t have himeko as a day 1 player. To get himeko I have to lose my 50/50 in the limited banner and get her out of 7 standard banner characters. Or get lucky and get her out of 14 possible results from the standard banner. Unless you spend a lot or get lucky you probably aren’t getting himeko like me.
Jade has a lot of value for people in similar situations and newer accounts. if you invest and get her E1S1 she gets amazing imo. I love playing her with Topaz, and Aventurine! I think it’s okay and healthy for this game to have specialist characters. Imo the I can do it all characters akin to Acheron are unhealthy and skew balance in a very bad way because they’re broken damage wise and content will be balanced around said character. So players without them are screwed.
Yeah she's actually quite decent, I'm not really pulling her as I kind of want Yunli more and getting 1 copy and 1 Lightcone is easier with the pulls (Especially since I have 50 pity on the LC banner but 0 Pity on the Character banner) I have then getting 2 copies of a Character, but when Jade does rerun I Intend on E1S1ing her, & I do think she's basically a AOE Topaz, bound to get her Ratio like Synergy before we know it, and FUA is the funnest Architype.
@@IdeasAreBulletproof I pulled her to use with Yunli and other future AoE counter units aside from the usual synergies, because that's where the real potential is for attack frequency: using the enemy turns against them on top of the team actions. FUA is one of the most cracked mechanics in the game, people are definitely shortsighted about it still.
the problem with jade is that without her e1, she's pretty much screwed outside of pure fiction unless you have some godlike relics with teammates who also has godlike relics. so why spend 180 pulls (if you even win both 50/50) if you can just pull a f2p character who doesn't need eidolons or lightcones to be great in ALL gamemodes?
@@winstongutual My dude. Her damage is fully AoE, and so is Herta's who is usually paired with her, she's not screwed as the enemies will have the hp depleted at the same time. It's fail-proof design any time you're not trying to bruteforce her or her team setup. Look at the quantum enemies we have that are expected to bring her into: the Swarm, Abundant Deer, Dunn, Cocolia, and so on. Do you realize they're all AoE content being outside of PF? Don't you see hunt players complaining there's too much AoE in the game? She's great in all gamemodes. This is what people have been sleeping on about AoE characters for an entire year.
Pulled her purely bc I like her character + design + animations but also she easily beats PF on top of having a ton of synergies.
Im an IPC lover so im hoping they add a future stoneheart that can benefit from Jade's hp drain mechanic like Blade does.
Your point about Jade not double dipping into PF and other modes is exactly the reason why I consider her bad (at least for my account). I have several other characters who can do PF and another mode just fine. I've already built herta and himeko and throw in an off/sub dps with some supports and PF isn't hard. I don't see a point in getting her for my own use.

jade is definitely a god in pure fiction and that's valid to have a character that excels in that, i think the reason why everybody is miffed because she could easily be usable in moc if her e1 was part of her base kit or something, it just seems like an incredibly obvious spending bait that feels lowbrow for mihoyo. as it stands at e0, she's usable in 1/3 out of replenishing endgame modes and that isn't compelling enough for most people. i'd say most other characters are at a 2/3 with investment and the OP characters can be used in all modes
Personally I also find her more than usable for AS, as a sub dps and using a Destruction Dps, Balde is the obvioud choice. But Clara, Acheron as the Nihility option (even when not using a second Nihility without E2), well played even Jingliu sounds like an option. A super perfect synergistic team is not always needed, and it definitely can help you clear the endgame content. Not to mention she is great for farming, for messing around in Simulated universe even making endgame runs on the three modes of it. People simpm expect every new character to make the last one useless en comparison, and then complain because that happened
I think you need one pure fiction unit. So in my case I picked up Argenti when he first came up. And because of that I can still clear pure fiction with max score each time with a secondary team of Herta and Himiko. But with that I can see why there is less value. Since I can still clear with argenti. Why do I need another pure fiction unit. And until the day comes where I can't clear. The units for pure fiction are not really useful in other locations.

yeah it’s perfectly fine to not enjoy a character’s kit/playstyle but for people seriously making the argument that Jade is bad bc she was designed w/ a specific gamemode in mind is kinda weird to me? like not to be that guy cause i also love this game, but this isn’t genshin where you can brute-force almost all content with any character…
HSR has different endgames to cater to different niches of DPS so it makes sense for the devs to create characters to fill out the roster for these niches… and if you don’t like how these modes heavily encourage specific characters then we still have SU where you can make almost character/team comp work!
The problem is Star Rail already made characters that are good in all game modes and can brute force like Acheron and FIrefly so seeing a character that only good in one game mode just looks like a bad deal. No doubt we have seen the last of Hoyo's favoritism either they clearly make some characters a step above others. It is fun to use different characters though enjoying using Clara right now.

The difference is that the current best PF units are already non-limited ones in Herta and Himeko, so most people can clear the game mode with what you're already getting inevitably just by playing the game. You don't have the same luxury for MoC and AS.

As en erudition main himeko is very reliant on breaking,or you want himeko x herta. Jades value is that she can make any other erudition character shine with similar synergy. Often times you’re using himeko and herta together, besides argenti (who most don’t have), every other erudition character needs help in PF that Jade can contribute to
Also her having a drain and Himeko having a buff thats only active when shes above 80% is a bit of a weird anti-synergy. Aventurine is the premium FuA sustain and he can't heal so you can make 10 attacks with Himeko before it becomes a problem. I dont really know how many times Himeko attacks in a PF run on average but her Ults and FuA are frequent enough that you're probably losing that buff at some point near the end. I don't think its the worst thing in the world and you can always just run Abundance instead but its a little bit of friction in the Jade + Himeko comp that doesn't exist in the Jade + Herta comp for example. Jade + Herta might actually just go sustainless tbh with Robin + RM for example
Not to mention its not like Jade is automatic win button you still have to build her just like Herta and Himeko or Clara before she does the work.

The problem is she's super amazing at Pure Fiction sure, but clearing Pure Fiction is already pretty easy with units like Acheron or Firefly or Argenti or Himeko and Herta. So what's the point in getting this hyper specific Pure Fiction monster when most people have been dealing with Pure Fiction already with one of their answers? Most people probably have a Himeko if they've been playing since launch (again MOST people no everyone), meanwhile EVERYONE has an E5-E6 Herta since they're given to you for free. So what does Jade realistically offer you that you need besides mommy dommy bait.
Overall point, if you like the characters than pull for them. In the word's of Silver Wolf "Dont hesitate. Just pull. If ur asking, u want it.". But if youre looking for a meta defining unit in the way that Acheron and Firefly are, who are great in MOC and Pure Fiction and Apocalyptic Shadow, then you can look elsewhere.
Imagine if they make a support that lets erudition units deal extra damage to 1-2 enemies for every unused aoe attack slot
I mean now that we have 3 end game modes, each of them are as important as the other. So idk why people seem to only hold moc to that standard when u need units for each of those end game modes
Probably because it's the most gear and account intensive endgame mode. PF and AS are moreso checks of account diversity.
@@doublereel-real checks of account diversity are still a reason to not just write off certain units imo. At the end of the day, each mode takes up the same amount of time in a patch. If ur moc is struggling, pull for characters that do well in moc. Vice versa with Apoc shadow and PF. I’m all about what teams make the modes the most auto-able.
Yeah, I found it confusing why everyone was so upset at Jade not being good outside PF. Like, yes that is why I’m deciding not to pull for her since I currently have a 50/50 loss from going for Firefly E2 (actually giving me my Himeko finally, funnily enough) and I think some rerun options are more important despite not having good PF runs (as well as MoC)… but I’ve seen her in action. In her preferred gamemode, she’s incredible. I even plan to get her on rerun at some point because of that.
But yeah, it’s funny how everyone complains about power creep then the moment Hoyo goes against that to create a character that doesn’t do everything, suddenly it’s all "wtf why is she shit". If you’re that desperate to use her anywhere, go for E1.
I love my Firefly break team, but I’m also loving my Jade follow up team.
I finally built my Herta and between her, my new Jade, and my E2 Himeko, I got my first 12-star PF run! I also don't have any 5-star Quantum units except Sparkle and Silver Wolf, so I really needed the Quantum damage. She was a perfect pull for my account.
I struggle with PF but i clear it. Yes, Jade is beneficial, but I have Argenti and I need to save. it's not that I wouldn't want her. Thankfully, I think Feixiao will be what I need, and ultimately, she's a character I really want. So yeah, some pain points in PF is worth it

on my main account i didn't have any limited 5* supports and my second best main dps was blade so getting jade helped with my blade team and helped me with PF
This is EXACTLY why I pulled her. My f2p account is build for MoC and AS. They have basically the same roster. But PF is such a different beast, you need a tiny little pool of characters specific for that game mode. And here comes Jade.

Pulled for Jade in my alt precisely because pure fiction is my weakest link in that account.
I do understand why people underestimate that mode though, it's super easy if you have the right units, and Himeko+Herta is just a free win on one side so you only need to worry about one other side.
Some people forget that Himeko isn't a unit you just always happen to get lol... I've been playing since launch and I still do not have a single copy of Himeko... Jade for me is a godsend for my PF needs and bonus pts for having a design that I actually like...

I barely use Bronya nowadays, but Himeko has been in every single one of my PF runs since it got released.
I think she is incredible. Especially when played with Robin and Aventurine she pops off hard. And with Aventurine you have now the option to put the contract on him which makes the last slot a free flex pick. You can squeeze in pretty much anything that can either do a lot of AoE damage or a secondary harmony unit. So there is here and there some wiggle room for flexibility and funny team comps.

I'm mostly skipping because I already have E1s1 Himeko and Herta. I put my FF artifacts on Himeko and use break team, and she does really well clearing Pure Fiction.
Totally agree. I can clear any content in the game, but I've always struggled with pf and didn't enjoy it. When I pulled Jade she simplified it so much that, im not getting annoyed at having to do it anymore. She was my pf jesus and made the mode so much more enjoyable.
I hope she ends up like Topaz, I got her to E1S1 just for Dr. Ratio, and oh boy are they so good together

Thats is exactly what I did, I pulled her because i have no real PF Teams and I struggle to clear PF consistently. And now I have a real Incentive to finally Build all the units for PF.
Jade makes the team so free that I got 35k with her and himeko's team while jade was level 6 on her tracess and didnt have all the outside skills and himeko's traces were untouched because I forgot to level them. This was the first PF I couldn't 60k easily and jade solved that.
This made me pull for her cause I was torn and I literally got her in my first 10 pull. Tyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

@@lurkera7351 no, they are actually e0s1 0-cycle clears, you should look up EiDehGaming if you are interested, they have a pretty niffty breakdown as to how the 0-cycle works, currently not a lot of dps's are actually able to clear second side moc with that low of a cost

When I first tried pure fiction I cursed at it very bad. Now that the bonuses fit my favourite fua characters it is finally doable. Pulled Jade and very happy.

I did the newest PF (node 1) with my acheron team, it didnt go well. Jade x Clara got the job done. maybe its just me, but having Jade on my account give me more options and comfort for PF. Not to mention, erudition path is just so fun to play.
So, i clear PF with Herta in one team and Himeko in another. Just put random bullshit with them and after few tries they get max rewards. Free units, btw. I can't do this in MOC.
Couldn't care less about Jade, couldn't care less about better Clara and male Gufan.

I think Jade's E1 should have been part of her base kit because it makes her so much more flexible and makes her viable in MoC, apocalyptic and Sim Uni stuff. I love her but I have her at E1 which makes her feel A LOT more different
I may have pulled for Jade, if:
1. I didn't throw all my jades into the abyss that was both Ruan Mei's and Firefly's banners
2. If I didn't already have my beloved beauty simp, Argentina
She's been a huge boon to my account since Pure Fiction has been a bit of a pain point for me. I can usually still clear with full stars, but it's been a lot more hard-earned than MoC and AS for my account, so Jade has been a breath of fresh air for it.
I have found that she is so fun with Herta and Himeko. Pure fiction would be an absolute walk in the park with her. But, I'm saving for Jiaoqiu for my Acheron team. So, definitely on the rerun.
as someone who started in 2.1, and has the fua team, but no built quantum or aoe units, jade was literally perfect for me
Finally raised Herta, never got Himeko and Jade is the first Pure Fiction character I pulled on. I also think Jade will get a character to boost in the future that will really make her awesome.

i mean she is okay :shrug: she just replaces himeko or herta in PF (rip himeko if you cant get breaks). she works in the current MOC because of linked health. can be used in mat farming. but unless you simp the charecter. she isnt worth your saved jades. period.
The reason why people don’t like it is because of Firefly meta and flexibility. Most players want to most bang for their dollar and Jade is only op in PF.
I can already see in a few months how people realise her value when maybe some new 4* that have synergy with her drops and she becomes a beast. Same thing happens all the time, like Kokomi and Kuki. That's why i try to get at least 1 new 5* per patch. So that in the future i have less regrets of not pulling someone.
It is too optimistic to think that way, it is a 50/50, just as there are characters that improve with the passage of updates as Kuki, there are also characters like Dehya, Shenhe, Wanderer, Itto, etc. that with the passage of updates only get worse because they never get units that benefit them much.
The problem is that Jade already has perfect teammates like Herta and Argenti its not like she is lacking synergy she is just not that big of a deal. Shes a dps with support for erudition units that are already good in PF with harmony characters. They locked her single target dps synergy behind E1 which could help out single target characters that attack a lot clear the mobs while they focus on the boss.
If you’re pulling her now because you THINK there is going to be a future option… just wait for the re-run that way the pull is actually concrete and not luck based…
Also the argument is just that she isn’t bad… she isn’t bad but she just isn’t a big deal as a whole… she is perfectly average as a unit that does great in PF… not something to write home about so it makes pulling for the sake of worrying about the future less valuable… also Pf is a game mode where sustains are usually not used so the importance of where she would slot in is less valuable since the other units would make up for the dps loss of where the sustainer would be… so in a way she has inherently less value because the game mode really doesn’t need sustains
People who only account for a character's MoC viability are probably (former) Genshin players who are still stuck on that abyss only mindset
Kafka makes PF free, blade does too under the right circmstances, Acheron can clear moc, herta can clear moc, Seele, Clara (Like blade). There are just a lot of option already. The main problem is jade is only for those who feel like they want to go past that 30k and get full 40k clears. If you finish 12 stars moc and lets say you only have Seele and JL, 2 not so great PF char and is also really good in MOC can clear PF to 60k just fine or even just under 60k in the final level is also fine. At the end of the day, it is almost 100 percent better to just pull a unit that can cover multiple end game content. Pulling for one like this will not allow you to have fun in other end game mode earlier as you have limited resources and less characters you can realistic pull with said limited resource.

Jade is a horizontal investment pull "meta" wise, thats how I see it (i see aboba i pulled)

Sorta unrelated to the topic but why do you play on a F2P account when you have every character on your paid account?
We need a Support character wich debuffs enemys so the main target gets addition damage if u hit multiple target , and if there is no addition enemy the new support would summon tokens wich add addition damage to ur main target

Jade seems pretty cool especially with Herta and Himeko. Now if we can have a healer that has follow up attacks that would be an insane combo. I wasn't gonna pull for her but the Jade and Herta trial really changed my mind 😭
I only started playing near the end of aventurine's banner and I'm having trouble in PF since I had no strong erudiiton chars/no acheron/no blast chars besides my ff break team. I mainly just prioritized my ipc fua team for end game content. Currently building herta too and am excited to use them together. Jade is gonna help so much

The thing is I think that with the release of AS pf characters wouldn’t really be as valuable as characters tailor made for moc since those characters can clear both AS and MoC, I would rather have a character that can clear 2 game modes potentially 3 since both acheron and firefly can clear all 3 comfortably (also yunli but I wouldn’t say anything more since it’s leak territory) rather than having a character that can only excel at one game mode. On top of that people also forgot that pf is a lot more forgiving than as and moc when it comes to rewards since pf gives you a reward per star not per 3 stars.
So funny how Brax needs to make a video about this and how ppl don’t understand certain units are better in certain game modes 😂

Pure Fiction is still free jades if you are able to complete it & if a character can make it easier to do that, than i don't see anything wrong with that assumption. I usually struggle in PF cause i don't really have the necessary characters to achieve the 60k points for a full clear. Once i got Jade it made it so much easier to get that full clear & i have no issue using Jade in just that content. Also i think so many are disregarding Sim/Divergent universe and Jade is so much fun in that content too.
Tbh I wouldn't oppose the idea of making Pf as hard as Moc so that people actually have incentives to try and pull for Pf units. As of rn, Pf is way too easy compared to Moc and As

Its like if we were given a free acheron and firefly then there would be people saying don't pull for a unit that's only good in moc. I think jade would be a lot better received if we didn't get such powerful aoe characters for free.

Herta himeko makes 40 k easily meaning that you only have to do 20k in the second part for max reward something that even mid pf characters like dhil or Jing Liu can do. So yeah, pretty overkill to pull for jade if you already got himeko herta, it's an upgrade nonetheless.

Eventually, even if himeko and herta can do the first half, it'll probably get to a point where non-pf-dedicated chars will struggle too much to even get 20-30k. Tho still, I doubt they'll fall off anytime soon, but when patch 7.0 comes around, I can only assume from the general direction moc is goin, it's probably not gonna get any easier
I'm one of those people who still don't have Himeko and Clara, even though playing since launch. So for me Jade is pretty valuable in no-DoT PF ^^
besides, her animations are SO GOOD to look at. I love that purple snake and the smirk Jade does before each FUA

This is pretty much exactly why I pulled her. Been playing since 1.5. I finally 12-starred the most recent MoC and Apoc Shadow but Pure Fiction has always been my worst game mode. I really like Argenti more as a character, but given everything I've pulled on my account so far Jade was just the higher value unit for me. And I also just love the FUA playstyle and find it fun to just watch everything go brrrr, so there's that.
I'm tempering my expectations since of course the currect PF buff is highly tuned to her, but I am still happy to say that getting her let me 12-star it for the first time, so for me she was worth it. Maybe someday I will be able to get our lovable beauty boy too.

I skip Jade for Argenti x'D I'm a new player so idk I actually enjoy Argenti's playstyle and I don't have a single character that synergizes with Jade. If I had Blade (is on my wishlist) then I go for Jade.
I will say, it requires her E1, but with her E1 the characters she combos with, and how good she is outside of pure fiction SKYROCKETS. I got real lucky, E1 in 53 pulls, amd ive been running her in everything for fun, only really hasnt been to good in Apocolyptic shadow for me, but also im just struggling horrendously in AS.
let's not lie to ourselves, PF is most of the time harder than MoC. A dedicated carry for PF is a no-brainer
