This was a great idea for a video! I'd be interested in comparisons of other brands too. Like maybelline or loreal, they both have so many mascaras

I was thinking the exact same. Like wow now I have to try bad gal bang. I have roller lash though, so I’ll give it a shot first. Been having so much trouble with raccoon eyes from every mascara I try lately. Maybe this will be the ticket.

I'll never pay that much for mascara ever again after trying the Essence Lash Princess and Catrice Pret-a-Volume mascaras. Especially the waterproof formula! I also throw out my mascara after 3 months of regular use, so I'm glad that these budget mascaras are so great. 💜💜💜

The original Lash Princess transfers like crazy on me, but I've recently fallen in love with the Maybelline Lash Sensational instead
Ugghhh, I wish the essence one didn’t transfer so badly on me because it’s the prettiest mascara I’ve ever used
What about the waterproof one Kayla? Did that also transfer? Cos I found it better, especially at weddings and funerals 😅
I know it can wear down by hour 6 or 8 sometimes but I've yet to find one that works as well
@@ericadubach1974 I haven’t but most mascara do end up transferring on me. I assume it’s partially because the Florida heat and humidity. Drier and waxier formulas tend to work best for me
This was a good comparison video. I really enjoy the part where you discuss how brush type/shape could affect the application of the mascara. It's not something I had thought about before.

Excellent comparisons, good job! The Roller Lash is my favourite mascara right now in general but I haven't tried any of the other Benefit mascaras. I have my eye on this new one though now and the Bad Girl Bang for sure 🙂
I enjoyed this video-the comparison visuals and the commentary about all of them. I liked They're Real or Real Magnet based on this comparison and I might give it a go for my next mascara.

I have used it for a while now, really like it, other benefit mascaras didn’t do a whole lot but this is one of my new fave. I have straight lashes and it definitely gives them a lift
That was a very good comparison. I like how they do use the images of the models without false lashes like L'oreal and other companies do. The Bad Gal Bang is always at it's best after it has dried up a bit. In the beginning it's super clumpy.
Yeah I usually like to get minis for mascaras, but it's not worth it with Bad Gal Bang. It's one of my top 3 mascaras, but I'll always buy the full size since the first week of wearing is so clumpy I want more in the container when it dries a bit and turns to magic. :)

Roller lash is my favorite too 😍
The original They're Real was so hit and miss for me, some days it was clutch and HG status but then others it would leave me disappointed. The whole tube was such a roller coaster I never tried any other Benefit formulas.
The breakdown about the brushes along with the side by side comparison is definitely helpful!
I received my Benefit magnetic mascara in the post today. First impressions are very positive.

Bad Gal Bang is the best I've ever used! Usually it takes me at least a week for a mascara to dry up a little bit, so it actually sticks to my short pathetic lashes. BGB was love at first swipe. I've been trying to use my old favourite Lash Paradise for financial reasons, but I hate it now. I had to place an order when I saw BGB was on very heavy discount!
I like Roller Lash as a layering mascara. My favorite combo is Stila Big Extreme mascara followed by Roller Lash. But I never pay full price - if I can get a 50% off sale, I’ll consider it. Lash Princess does the same job for $5, and Lash Paradise for $10.
I LOVE Bad Girl and They're Real so I am am very curious about the Magnet!
I used to love They're Real but then tried Bad Gal Bang and I much prefer that one now. I always throw my mascaras after 3 months so I don't always buy more expensive mascara cos it really adds up, especially when you don't use it every day and know you're throwing away a lot of product! Essence Lash Princess is a great high street buy for €4 so I buy that one sometimes instead, it's also much easier to find when literally every chemist sells it.
Came to see the mascara in action but then spent the rest of the video wanting to see more puppy love 🐶😍

My lashes are very sparse, too. And long-ish but need volume. Bad Gal Bang I used to hate until one time years ago, someone at Sephora said "look it is clumpy as hell UNLESS you take a couple extra minutes to apply it very slowly then it is the best". I tried that way and honestly it is lovely. But sometimes I do not have that much patience!

I personally really like the combination of pre-coat with a waterproof skinnier rubber wand mascara and then a rather dry normal wand mascara on top - regardless of brand. Right now I do coating of WnW Megalength (the purple) waterproof with Loreal's lash paradise on top. Makes any mascara work for me but I really enjoyed the roller lash the most from benefit.

Very controversial here but I prefer the bad gal bang travel size to the full size, as the wand is more stable and bends less
I’ve made my peace with mascara, 40 years of Maybelline Great Lash, in large part because of the wand. I need a small wand. Having said that I often rock various samples I get with makeup orders so I get around the new stuff a little bit. Tried Bad Gal once and in the bin it went. Clump city. Maybelline came out with a 3-D wand last year and I was horrified and panicked but luckily they are still selling the old wand. What other mascara is like 60 years old, for a reason?
I'm always happy to pay a puppy tax! Was there any difference btw these with regard to transfer or flaking over time?
I would live to see a comparison. Wear test. Does it flake or smudge or just wear off at the end of the day. You could wear bad gal in one eye and roller on the other. Then next day wear the two they're real the next day. Then switch until you have worn each one with the other. I would live to see that..
I had a big problem with transfer from mascara, so I went through and tested a lot of mascaras from cheaper brands through to expensive ones, the only ones I found that wouldn't pour off my lashes while at work were better than sex and bad gal bang.
That’s interesting cuz Better Than Sex flakes off my lashes like crazy, and I love Bad Gal Bang. I think it’s so interesting how our different body chemistries interact so differently with makeup.

So interesting, both of those flake and transfer on me like mad! And I don’t normally have that issue, I so wanted to love bad gal bang, the original bad gal mascara was my favourite! I’d wear it when I worked for Benefit even when I was supposed to wear they’re real 😂

Is the original Bad Gal mascara not on the market anymore? I like that one too! Benefit do great mascaras. My favourite is Roller Lash because I do find it curls my straight lashes and I can skip the lash curler.
Benefit still have mini's on their website but I believe it's been discontinued

Omg does anyone remember the original Bad Gal mascara? The brush was like a hair brush. I thought it was shit, until I got it to work once, on only one eye lol. Then I tried for about 3 years to recreate that look I got one time.

Idk if the original they're real is supposed to be waterproof but on me, it does not move. Honestly kind of a pain to get off 😂
I don't think it technically is waterproof but I know it's designed to be long wear

Okay so this became more difficult than I thought. I’m gonna say old They’re Real beats the new one, Bad Gal Bang is a dead on dupe for Covergirl Lash Blast/Clump Crusher and ...hmh, since you all came all this way:
Hailey is absolutely right. The brush matters just as much as the formula. You’d be amazed how similar each formula is to another - especially between brands but in general as well. It’s all just oil, wax and pigment suspended in water. Actually, that’s all makeup.

I never understand the deal with mascaras, they are all the same to me. The only difference I ever see is in performance. Some flake or smudge while others hold rather well. But as to how they make my lashes look, yeah I never see a difference. Mascara is mascara!
I wish Benefit was closing and not Becca. Expensive (and ugly) packaging and subpar make up with zero innovation. At least Becca made pretty highlighters.
