Kousei pension and Kokumin pension. on former, old people can get more money. but the people that can choice Kousei pension are only empoyeed people. old parents that show on this movie can join only Kokumin pension. the income is too low on old age living. about 60000yen(450dollars) per month. in addition to that, on young-middle age if they didnt add latch, the income will be more low. in Japan, one room rent for a single will be over 400 dollars per month. they cannot spent life by only Kokumin pension absolutly.
in Japan, basically their old age life depend on theirselves life responsibility. Japanese govement and society never give the help hands for old age. therefore, there are old age workers who woking to Japanese resturants, because they have worked as self-employed person.
off course there are Japanese old people that feel works as a virtue and work positively. but some of them cannot help working to low pension. We should not decide the backgroud of working till death as Japanese virtue.we may think about such lack of Japanese welfare system.
