Ah I hadn't realised that convention for when you use more than one adverb side by side (politically, economically, historically). Very useful!
I've heard the "mente" ending many times, but I hadn't taken the time to research it. All I needed was five minutes! Thanks.
Your one of my top resources for learning gracias maestro
That's great to hear!
Really helpful Paul. Thank you. I'm a beginner, and some of your videos are a little advanced for me. But as I am progressing, I am starting to come back to some that I didn't understand and rewatching them. Your content is great!
Thanks for watching. This is a good one you can work in with any adjectives you learn. :)
I 'second' this! ☺️
I am a beginner with a big vocabulary but a very sloooow ear. I am old! For me he does often move too fast, but with youtube you can play it again … and pause. And while his presentation seems extemporaneous (there’s a word I do not know in español), I think he follows a tight outline or script because he is incredibly concise. I listen to two podcasts and three youtubers teaching Spanish - and he is my favorite.
I like the new, sleek format. Thank you for all of your videos!
Glad to hear it!
Thanks for the quick lesson, I always appreciate the videos you make.
Glad you like them!
Esto fue muy útil. Corto y extremadamente claro. Gracias
Thanks! We always remember what we got wrong on tests, so I suggest you do a video that teaches comprehension, which your style is perfect for, because there's no fluency without comprehension. Pick a simple conversational subject like cooking, then speak to the viewers and pause after each sentence. They'll answer on their own app, which you then correct and move on etc. Of course The Keystone will be in there lol. This would be a good way for us to remember mistakes. Well done.
Important, clear and concise… Thank You!
Gracias-another helpful video!!!!
Super helpful. Sure glad to be a member of the Qroo Crew.
Thanks for that!
Paul explica clara, sencilla y brillantemente cómo funciona una lista de este tipo. ¡Gracias, Paul!
Outstanding. This is really some of the best instruction I've seen. Well done.
Wow, thanks!
Excelente ..gracias por todo
So simple yet so useful, thank you
I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching. :)
Awesome thanks!
I’ve been watching/listing to your videos on my way to work, which is in construction. I work around many Mexican speakers and I’ve been implementing many of your tips and tricks out. I’d love to see another video on how to better carry a basic conversation past the typical greetings. Thank you Qroopaul for all your help!
Gracias, muy útil. Pan comida😊
That was a huge help. Thanks.
Glad it helped!
Yo enchanto tu tutoriáls
I've had problems with adjective and adverb word order. This explanation cleared up how the flow should feel. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
Gracias por la lección, Qroo Paul. Como siempre, escuché atenta y diligentemente.
Una lección corta y fácil, gracias.
Video idea. We all know the rule of using subjunctive for a change of subject (Quiero que comes) and infinitive for the same subject (Quiero comer). But could talk about when it's allowed to do a sly subject change with an infinitive? (E.g. Me hizo pensar. Déjame explicar. Le prohibieron entrar.)
I think it's because you are stating a wish/desire in "quiero que comes" that you use the subjunctive, not bc there's a subject change...🤔
¡Exactamente!
Super helpful. Gracias Mr.Paul
Thanks for watching!
Spanish with Qroo Paul after dark....
Life gets in my way. I’ve been to a wedding in LA and a funeral in Idaho in the past 3 weeks. I’m getting back to studying Spanish now. Rick
You've been busy.
Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Ooh this was so useful! I have never put this together as a rule. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Chévere. By the way, Routledge Reference Grammars, Sixth Edition, agrees with you (and disagrees with Barron’s) on using infinitives even when not a subject of a sentence.
Thanks for sharing that.
Thanks never knew this
Gracias. T)
Wonderful lesson,as usual!😊
Útil de nuevo. Gracias.
Por cierto, me gusta el cuadro y la camisa. Muy elegante. ¿Es esta una imagen nueva? 😂😂😂
Where I live in Mexico I never hear rápidamente used as the adverb fast or quickly, it's always shortened down to rápido, not even rápida. I used to say the longer form but no longer. I got the feeling I might be sounding too formal. I suppose this happens with polysyllabic commonly used adverbs over time.
Thanks so much for another great video ❤.
I have a request for a video, pretty please 🙏.
Please help me learn the difference between when to use 'para' and when to use 'a' in a sentence? I use them in place of each other a lot 😢
That's a great video topic.
Thank you for making such a great channel for learning Spanish! Is there a downloadable course available at all?
No, not yet.
not to be critical... you mentioned making the adverb feminine; you mentioned if it ends in a consonant to add the mente. But you didn't explain that when the adjective ends in an E that you keep the E and add the mente... Yes, you did include in your examples, but you didn't explain beforehand the reason

He notado que muchas veces los nativos usan el adjetivo como adverbio. Rápido en vez de rapidamente por ejemplo.
Paul, why evidentemente and completemente instead of evidentamente, etc.?
evidente is the same for masculine or feminine nouns. The ones ending in O and A will indicate gender.
Thanks@@QrooSpanish

I am deeply distracted! Mr. Paul no llevando camiseta.
Haha!
Hey I saw that French c!!
I saw that too. I'm not sure how that happened...lol.
could you do a video explaining the question starter “will” I am on lesson 6, i am about to learn subjunctives, my problem is i use “will” in english a lot and there is no substitution in spanish, sometimes you can say “ can you” instead, but i am really struggling with this, In english i would say. Will you do me a favor,I am also struggling with “would” could” and should” thank you
Do you mean, "Will you do me a favor?" Things like that?
yes, i remember the lesson where i learn “Me Puedes hacer un favor” but poder is not always interchangeable with “will” please help me fix this issue, i am trying to learn aggressively and i am taking your courses very seriously, but in my English I use the word “will” a lot. For example… Will you go there?
Not “Can you go there” because maybe you can, but you won’t… so WILL is the correct word used in English…. please teach me to do this in spanish
@@amandamcconathy Use the future tense. ¿Me harás un favor?
Or ¿Me harías... if you mean "Would you..."
@@spider2666 thank you, i actually realized the question i was asking was rather easy, i understand the future tense now, now my problems are listening comprehension and the subjunctive but in the future subjective… seems like all the verbs are irregular, also when to use tener and haber, don’t worry i signed up for lifetime membership, so i will learn
You mentioned your students, can we take classes with you?
I don't tutor anymore. Just too busy these days.
Why do you have to make it feminine before adding the Mente if it already ends with a vowel in the case of that O?
The O will become an A before the mente is added. Rápidamente. Lentamente etc
@@QrooSpanishBut why do you have change it to an A? Thank you for the reply, greatly appreciating your vids .
In addition to the multiple adverbs in succession rule, I've noticed Spanish speakers saying things like "claro" instead of "claramente" when using the word on its own. Is this grammatically correct in Spanish and can we do it with other adverbs on their own? Can I just say something like "obvia", instead of "obviamente"?
Yes, that does happen with certain words like claro and obvio.
In fact, a common response to something that is obvious is just to say, "Obvio."
Awesome question, @Daniel-gj1fx
Como siempre aprendí nuevas técnicas de ti❤
Gracias por ver el video. Me alegra que te gustara. Un saludo.
you said camino rapidamente, but could I also say rapidamente camino?
It sounds more natural after the verb. I asked a few native speakers on this one and they all agreed.
You’re talking too fast your video is going too fast
You can slow the video speed down under the gear icon. Some viewers have told me that they do that.
@QrooSpanish wow, that was helpful! Now you sound stoned😂
Very helpful video!
¿Te mudaste a un hotel? 😂
Además, parece que has mejorado tu audio. He adivinado que estás usando un nuevo micrófono.
Hace tres meses acepté un trabajo a tiempo completo y me mandaron a una capacitación a 4 horas de mi casa. Me alojaré en este hotel dos semanas al mes durante los próximos 5 meses.
@@QrooSpanish ¡Felicitaciones por el nuevo trabajo¡ Espero que tengas tiempo para hacer nuevos videos.
