Steel was used because sir Slater's family has a construction company which specializes in steel structures :) and considering the timeframe kung how long nila gustong matapos i think steel structure is better.

Tama Steel ginamit nila kasi puro long span sya, gusto nila ng wide spaces na walang obstruction. Also inspired to sa Glass House ni I.M Pie or Philip Johnson na nauna nang nagpasikat sa Minimalist house style na pinauso nila early 80's pa lang.
