Thanks for a new vid. Eagerly awaiting a Pearse diving video. That first one and the habitat videos are some of the best stuff on RUclips. Still can’t believe the depth, and the crazy but thoroughly tested stuff you have to do to your gear to make it that deep. Seriously though, would love more habitat videos! Good luck and stay safe!
So now that you know that those go pro housings can survive the pressure, my new request for a video is to put a go pro in one and record something imploding inside your chamber 🤯
I'm not a diver myself outside of some low-depth, ocean water recreational dives, but I'm a huge engineering geek and interested in all things to do with diving, dive medicine, pushing limits in the MOST safe and controlled way possible. I'll never do the levels of diving you do, but one day I plan on getting my certs and properly learning. Just wanted to thank you for posting these videos. Don't let a small subscriber/view count discourage you from making them. It's a very niche subject and there are only a small handful of people on the planet doing what you do and at the levels you perform at. Stay safe and take care, look forward for the next video about using hydrogen and a diluent. Do you think you are reaching the limitations of diving in the Pearse Resurgence? The deco time alone by the time you hit any virgin cave is out of this world and you said elsewhere here your most recent dive no new exploration was done.
Absolutely ridiculous that you actually have to worry about making sure not to max out the depth sensor of your computer. Will we get another run through of this years dive?
really enjoy your videos, I can't wait for the Pearse videos. I love my Shearwater computers, petral and perdix never failed me at 30 meters or 100 feet, lol.
Great to see another video! I'm eagerly awaiting your return to the Pearse; I'm not a diver myself but I'm so totally enthralled by your incredible videos. Also, here's a pro tip: if you want to find high quality 18650 or 21700 cells and their corresponding multi-bay chargers, go to a vape shop. They use them in their vape devices, which require high quality cells that can withstand a high constant current draw. The prices are very good, much better than I've been able to find elsewhere.
Cool! You are back! Have been waiting a long time for your vid! Looking forward to the next Videos! Best regards from travelling between Togo and Vietnam, markus
Finally a new video. Was really worried you might have abandoned the channel. Haven’t watched the full video yet. But hope you will have to say Prüfpumpe again :-)
We have been back to the Pearse in February this year. We didn't manage to explore any new cave, but we did achieve something special - the world's first CCR dive using HYDROGEN as a diluent gas. Working on a film about this expedition which is one reason I haven't been posting too much about it, but watch this space!
Csnt wait to see more pierce footage. I wonder how deep it goes. Maybe an Rov could dive to the unexplored parts? Cloud talk here I'm no diver lol just loved that first pierce video been waiting ever since. You guys are crazy!!
So do the housings not have good dynamic seals, or is that just your experience to not press your luck at those depths? I come from aviation maintenance, and figure they could use Teflon backup rings with the dynamic o-rings to prevent them from extruding/leaking.
I'm not an engineer but I guess that is the issue. I have dived 100m DSLR housings to 150m and had a squirt of water go past the button when pressed, or found the button got stuck down because the spring wasn't strong enough.
Great video!! I would love to see some of the ali express lights tested. "Xtar D26 1600s" $75 and "Boruit DIV01" $45 have treated be very well on my recreational dives but I'd love to know how they would hold up deeper. I can send you links if your interested.
Apologies for the false start with this video. Full length version now uploaded.

Would be cool to see footage if there are any from the dive in Feb in the 250m+ cave. Came here from the dive talk video.
Have a good day
Great vid Dr Harris.. looking forward to meet you in Cozumel this July !! Blessings from Florida ..
Glad to see you back on the channel and I’m looking forward to reading your book!

Dang I forgot to say, but it continued to pumpfe perfectly.
Promise me to include it during the next testing :-)
More videos please! More reviews of BIG dives!
Are you doing another Pearse resurgence this year? We need to see what’s deeper 😂
Hey Richard, I subbed because of your pierce resurgence video. I hope you've managed to get back there!

Good stuff doc !
Hello Richard do you have a recommendation for navigation instruments
New Vid yesss.. you look great with the beard

@@DrHarryH I guess they don’t get much demand for housings doing that deep. Great videos.

Sure, it would be nice to see something be destroyed :-).
absolute legend!
