I really appreciated your presentation of the facts of the resort, but also the bits about your personal experience in relation to other Secrets Resorts. My husband and I have been to Secrets Aura Cozumel (once) and Secrets Akumal (twice) and were married at Secrets Akumal last year. We really enjoyed both of those Secrets and were both very different experiences. We are excited to go to the Dominican Republic and try this Secrets. We especially loved your video on Preferred Club. We have done preferred Club stay at Secrets Akumal, and Aura Cozumel. I didn't notice a huge different at those resorts in preferred club, much less at Aura Cozumel and a bit of a difference at Akumal, however we always enjoy the extra lounge and the access to more pools. It seems like the preferred club section offers a variety of extra options for relaxation, drinking, and dining at Royal Beach so thank you for that video. I am glad we chose the upgrade.

Cap Cana is a little quieter, a little more laid back and romantic. Also smaller and doesn’t have Dreams next door. Cap Cana also has a private beach (gated area). Tough call. Apples and oranges.

We enjoyed both for different reasons. There is more going on at Royal Beach, especially with the Dreams resort next door. Cap Cana is smaller, more intimate and in our opinion a bit more relaxing.
Are the flea markets near. Punta Cana and take a bus to? We liked going to MERCADO 28 in CANCUN and were hoping there was something similar in PUNTA CANA.

They have a nightly show and then dancing and music afterwards. They also have a sports bar and nightclub. I wouldn’t say nightlife is a huge focus though.

Thank you. While gratuities are “included” most people tipped a few dollars here and there and it helped. I did not do any excursions but a friend did and I will be doing another video or 2 on that and the preferred club. We asked and had a bottle of Brugal delivered to the room but didn’t drink it all. Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss the other videos.
Best to bring a tumbler or go with the cups they use? Some places serve small sizes and others don't allow tumblers. Just wondering what you found here. We're booked later in the year.
Every Secrets resort we have been to allows the large tumblers. The alcohol content can vary....tipping usually helps with that lol. Thanks for watching!
Hey, great video. How strict is the dress code at Bordeaux. Do Gents need to wear formal trousers and shirts or will a short sleeve shirt and jeans suffice?
The room wasn’t really clean, and when it was it was late in the day. Like after dinner we had to wait for the room to be cleaned. We generally do not tip maids till later in the stay as you don’t always have the same one each day. I know they were probably short handed but it was still a disappointment.

We went there 2 weeks ago got the suite with private pool and preferred club membership , unfortunately BIG ALTERCATION cause first night we had a roaches 🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳festival in our suite, they tried to tell us they was gonna spray some bs and that didn’t work cause more roaches was coming out of the mirror and the tv, also tried to say was cause of the weather after the hurricane Fiona hit the country, they forgot I’m Dominican born and raised so nope I didn’t take that bs after paying that amount so around 11:50 pm we got an upgraded presidential suite really high end type of suite cause I threaded em about posting that on social media also had a free couple and romantic diner in the beach, plus 3 free nights we can pick anytime next year 👍🏾

Was there may 4th for 5 nights. We loved it. Only complaint was it was too short a stay. Restaurants were amazing.

Stayed at Secrets Playa Mujeres . Drinks there were definitely watered down . Pool closed super early but a great resort .

Getting married here in February! Was my second choice to the Hyatt cap cana so I’m a tad nervous.

Yes. We paid $550 for 4 nights. If possible, book it ahead of time to get maximum advantage.

Yes you can. Secrets guests can use all the facilities and restaurants at Dreams.
