I love your videos when you are in full Donte mode! Fun and informative. I have an older Vevor and am very happy with it. Whoever wins this will love throwing on it.
Been here for a while, and I always find myself going to you for any ceramic videos ❤ I love how informative and fun your videos are 😊 thank you for your wisdom 💖
Ever since my professor showed me your videos, I have been so hooked and enjoy the work you put out for beginners and people who have been making pottery for a while. I’m a senior in college this year and I’m taking my second ceramics class because I want to get back into the clay so much! I’ve done ceramics in high school and it’s been a thing that just have been naturally drawn to since I like to hand-make things! I also have been looking for equipment to start doing my own pottery at home for a while and have been trying to look for a good wheel and small kiln for me to use to do more practice on the wheel.
Thank you for everything you give to the ceramic artist community. I've been watching your videos and listening to the podcasts for the last couple years and can't get enough. Thanks again. 😊
My sister and I went to a camp and one of the classes was pottery, we both fell in love with clay. The teacher had a couple of Brent's, a couple of Shimpo's (which we got to use for the class), she also had several Vevor wheels. The last day when the we could only play with the clay we wanted to try out the Vevor's as we new that they would be an affordable alternative to the Shimpo's. For us, as beginners, they worked great. When we got home, I started watching your channel(I subscribed too) and am living vicariously through all that you do until I have my own wheel. I think that you are a great teacher, very thorough and you make me smile. I think that playing with clay will help with our arthritis and keep our hands in shape. We are in our 60's and found a new hobby. I agree with you on the speed, I like to go real slow and think that 60 is too fast.
Cool that you are wearing your Amaco t-shirt from the glazes they sent. I rely totally on your Amaco glaze reviews. They are always spot on. Thanks for all you do!
"It's the little things." Thanks for letting us know what you think of this wheel. I really appreciate the other tips along with the review. Not gonna lie, I had to go back and listen a couple times to catch it all. I find my self grinning by the end of your videos. Your humor with the teaching is great. Thanks!
Thank you for reviewing this wheel. Was very helpful to hear your opinions. Want to get a pottery wheel of my own, but can’t afford the standard ones, so this wheel looks like a good option 😊
I stumbled upon your short video where “god” caught you pulling handles and almost spit my drink out 😂 I have learned so many great tips from your videos since. New to pottery since last January.
Listening to your videos is a joy. The review is helpful, especially for us beginners on a very defined budget. Also, that you mention details and options are really helpful.
I'm in the "I don't know if I want to start this hobby yet or not" phase, and this video, along with all your others, have been a great help in my research. Thanks!
I watched this a second time to help me decide whether to buy one. Since I have no wheel experience, I’m torn like an old sweater. I have to be careful about “frivolous” purchases, but if I won your giveaway I could pay it forward if I didn’t take to throwing. :)
Great review. Really appreciate your candid opinion. Still hunting around for a good used shell since watching your first video on purchasing one. That video helped a lot!
Thank you for this! My 9 year old and I have started learning how to throw, and she asked for a wheel for her birthday. I appreciate your honest and thorough reviews to help educate all of us, especially us 'baby potters'. :-)
Thanks for the review. My son just finished his first pottery class and is looking for an apartment wheel. This birthday is Thursday so I might have look into this.
Hello Donte, Thank you for another extremely informative review, and for sharing your knowledge so generously with everyone. It seems like learning how to throw on the wheel can be overwhelming, but the way that you break it down makes it very clear for beginners. Yay!
I’ve been wishing I could get a wheel like that for ages! As a lefty I really appreciate a righty thinking of the need for that reverse spin button and the depth you went into for that.
I appreciate you’re honesty (& humor!) with these reviews, and the fact you try to help out us baby potters with these giveaways is just an added bonus 🙏💕 Also, I wasn’t sure about going to SacAnime this year but now I’m definitely tempted!!
Donte, I've appreciated all of your videos both as a newbie potter AND as a teacher-- your humor and clarity make re-viewing more fun and impactful! If I were to win this wheel I'd use it with my own secondary school students (a bit of modern tech to use in learning ancient skills!) but with Quite A Lot of drop cloths, tarps, head-to-toe aprons...sort of kidding while envisioning just how much clay could spatter (splatter?) the classroom walls 😂
I love your videos and reviews I find them so interesting and you offer really solid advice. I have bought myself and old 80’s Venco which is made by a local company in Australia. I had it serviced and it should last me another 20 years until it needs another service.
Great review video. I learn so much from your channel, I'm 64 and there is still room for growth. My wheel is on the verge of taking a dump and I would really love to win this wheel!!! Keep up all the good content!!!
Thankyou for covering accessibility! So few reviewers consider it, but it’s a non-negotiable for so many of us. Question: if you’ve got wet/slip-covered hands, does it still detect button touches properly? I’ve wanted to get that Vevor wheel for a while now, but for some reason the only one available on the Aus Vevor is the mini/novelty wheel :( Not sure if you’re able to pass any feedback back to them (or maybe they’ll see this comment?), but there are SO many aspiring potters who would buy that here in Australia if they made them available. Thanks for all your hard work, Donte :)
Lovely features. I may not throw on this, but other than that I can certainly trim, wax my bottoms, draw lines, mark divisions for carvings etc. and of course one can carry it outside on a sunny winter morning and may be even throw regular sized stuff.
I am a recent subscriber and love your channel! I normally sculpt and hand build, but have recently been interested in trying out throwing, as I have never done it! Thanks for your information!!
Great video! Personally I like the lines as I am a beginner and it helps to get the clay in the centre more easily when you start. I wish I had a wheel at home so I could practice more. I would be on it all day!
love your videos Donte! pottery is my choice of media and makes my heart so happy, it’s my dream to be able to make art and sell it, but equipment is too expensive, but i’m hoping to get back into it one day
I would love to win this wheel! My daughter always wants to do pottery with me, but with one wheel, that makes it difficult. I love your videos, thank you for all you do!
Been a fan for a while! Cant afford a kiln so just did my first pitfire a few weeks ago after watching yours (didnt turn out great since i cant bisque fire first) but i have faith in round 2
Is this wheel small enough to be portable? I'd love to take a wheel along to shows for demonstrations, but don't select me as I have a good wheel already. Thanks for an honest review, I've followed all of your 'cheaper' wheel reviews with great interest! This one has intrigued me the most thus far!
Wheel, wheel, wheel, look what we have here. I love the goat effigies. A goat effigy t-shirt w a very subtle name drop of your channel would be cool. Actually, I often want to buy merch but I don’t like wearing stuff with words or handles on it. I would pay extra to have a simple tee with this weird goat effigy on it and I guarantee you anyone who saw it would ask what’s that?? and then I would tell them your channel name and it would probably be a more memorable interaction than if the name were printed on there to begin with. Just a thought! Thank you for all you do.
I just bought my own. I teach a class for a community mental health psychosocial rehabilitation program. It would be great to have a couple for the clients to work with. Right now, we are making sculptures, slab, and punch pots. They love it, I love it. I will keep trying to throw down on my wheel. It is difficult, but I really want to learn this craft. I'll send an update when I start making my own ware. Btw we have a skutt 1027! Great videos! Very helpful.
Hey Donte, Thanks for this great review once again. I have learned so much form you (even more than my official teacher is teaching me to be honest) I fel in love with the art and although still a ‘baby potter’ i am hooked. I really would love to win the vevor wheel for a dear friend. She is in a bit of a rough spot and sure could use this really nice break. I myself already have a vevor wheel, which I would’t part with even if I saved up enough for a adult potter wheel. Love how light it is and there for easy to move around… but I agree with you on the lines in wheel. I really really hate them, with a pasion 😱 I just put a bat over it with some clay. Problem fixed, for me at least 🫣
I have been trying to get into pottery for the past year! I have a local studio in my small city but have to travel pretty far. This wheel would be amazing for me.
To raise height of wheel then get a ten foot pvc pipe of 2" diameter. Cut the pipe into three equal parts (to the height you want and slid on to legs the rubber foot cover will also fit into the pipe it woks great!
I would love to win this wheel! I just found your videos and I like that you talk the entire time and describe what you are doing. I’m blind and most pottery videos aren’t accessible because they are often just showing and not talking. LCD screens worry me though, from an accessiblity standpoint though, is the screen necessary? I like that the settings stay even after it is turned off so maybe that helps with accessiblity for folks who can’t see the screen. Anyways! Thanks wwould love to give this wheel a try! Thanks!
Nice review! One day I hope to have my own space to do ceramics at home. Now that my summer break is over, I won't have time to go to my current studio. And paying for studio time is expensive! But at least I work at a school where I can sneak in my own stuff into the kiln with student work ;)
I’m looking forward to taking your beginner class when you start teaching it. I would love to be entered into the drawing for this wheel.
#1
You win the wheel.
Please contact me on other social media
#2 I'm currently teaching intermediate classes You can definitely try those
I always say the same thing BUT I ALWAYS mean it…I would so love to take lessons from you. Best teacher EVER!
I love your videos when you are in full Donte mode! Fun and informative. I have an older Vevor and am very happy with it. Whoever wins this will love throwing on it.
Saw you at a convention many years ago and followed you immediately. Thanks for the quality content all these years!
This left-handed baby potter is enamored with your work and ecstatic that you're gifting this wheel!!!
Been here for a while, and I always find myself going to you for any ceramic videos ❤ I love how informative and fun your videos are 😊 thank you for your wisdom 💖

First time commenter, love the tutorials. Your channel has helped us a lot. Keep up the great work!
Love that you keep giving. Don't select me as I have my own wheel. So glad to see you teaching in person!!
Thanks for the review and all the other videos. I am a beginner and I have watched some of your videos multiple times. 💜💜💜
Your channel is so fantastic with all of the practical and common sense tips you give, and now your giving away a wheel! wow, you really are the best!

New to pottery since last January.

Thank you for making these videos. I’ve been throwing for a little over a year.
Always enjoy your reviews. My nephew is also getting into pottery so this may be a good Christmas present for him. Thanks
I'm in the "I don't know if I want to start this hobby yet or not" phase, and this video, along with all your others, have been a great help in my research. Thanks!
I appreciate the time you give us , amazing! I pass on your site to anyone that I talk pottery to. I hope one day I’ll be a successful thrower🤞🏽.
Great review Donte. I appreciate how detailed you are, oh and truly honest. Thank you.
Thanks for the reviews Donte! Love your videos, you've helped me become a better potter!
That video helped a lot!
so glad there are reliable reviews like this out there! would love to have an affordable wheel❤
I've been looking for a wheel for home since I took ceramics in college! Thank you for being so thorough! ❤️
Thank you for this! My 9 year old and I have started learning how to throw, and she asked for a wheel for her birthday. I appreciate your honest and thorough reviews to help educate all of us, especially us 'baby potters'. :-)
Economic is the perfect way to describe these wheels. I've been looking into getting one for my new home studio!
Thanks Dante. You are someone I rely upon for the straight poop!
Thanks for the review. My son just finished his first pottery class and is looking for an apartment wheel. This birthday is Thursday so I might have look into this.
Your reviews are so helpful and I’ve learned so much from your channel and podcast! Such good resources for a beginner potter like me
I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you for reviewing the vevor wheels!
Love this channel, have been learning a lot. Win or lose doesn't matter just keep making content for learners please
Hello Donte, Thank you for another extremely informative review, and for sharing your knowledge so generously with everyone. It seems like learning how to throw on the wheel can be overwhelming, but the way that you break it down makes it very clear for beginners. Yay!
I'm a pottery teacher too, I always recommend your videos to my students!
I’ve been wishing I could get a wheel like that for ages! As a lefty I really appreciate a righty thinking of the need for that reverse spin button and the depth you went into for that.
Loving pottery classes I have been taking since dx of breast cancer to keep my mind busy and focus
First time I have seen your videos. I am new at this pottery stuff even though I'm 70.
I will be a new follower.
I appreciate you’re honesty (& humor!) with these reviews, and the fact you try to help out us baby potters with these giveaways is just an added bonus 🙏💕
Also, I wasn’t sure about going to SacAnime this year but now I’m definitely tempted!!
I’m so glad I found your channel. I especially love your glaze reviews. Some day I’ll have the space and opportunity to experiment too.
Thanks for doing what you do young brother…just getting into my journey and your videos have been a great learning tool.
Your videos are amazing Donte! Thank you for all you do :)

Donte! Fabulous job with your fair and unbiased reviews!! That’s a very sweet beginner wheel!!
Very nice option for a little wheel. I would love to have one like that.
Love your light attitude. I wish I had discovered you when I lived in California, I could have seen you in Sac.
I love your videos and reviews I find them so interesting and you offer really solid advice. I have bought myself and old 80’s Venco which is made by a local company in Australia. I had it serviced and it should last me another 20 years until it needs another service.
Thanks for doing this. Your videos have been a great for learning. I love your channel.
You are always a joy to watch.
Thanks for the review. I am looking for a cheap wheel was hopeing to find a used one but i guess this would be a good option to start
Love this video. Great review, Donte.
Love your reviews! They are super helpful and informative. It’s nice to know we can trust you for honest reviews. :-)
Love that it's good for lefties AND it's for the little folk 🙋♀️
My grandson is a tall 6- year old and it's the perfect size. I bought him the Vevor without the LCD screen. I like how sturdy it is for the price.
I appreciate your light-hearted approach to teaching, and I'd appreciate it even more if you gave me a wheel for my niece. Hint hint.
Thanks for this review!! ❤ Just beginning my throwing journey so this is great to know

I also am disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and as a beginner potter your comments really got me. Clay is so important for me for the tactile-ness. :)
Great video! Personally I like the lines as I am a beginner and it helps to get the clay in the centre more easily when you start. I wish I had a wheel at home so I could practice more. I would be on it all day!
I appreciate the review. I was considering this but was hesitant because how can they make EVERYTHING
love your videos Donte! pottery is my choice of media and makes my heart so happy, it’s my dream to be able to make art and sell it, but equipment is too expensive, but i’m hoping to get back into it one day
Welcome Dora! Your goat effigies rock!
I have learned so much from you and appreciate every video.
Omg! ❤ this wheel is adorable
I love ALL of your reviews. I would be happy to have access to a wheel at my house, thank you for sharing!
I love you videos and love your reviews. Please keep them up.
Thanks for this. I wonder if the grooves can be filled with epoxy. They would feel smooth, but be visible.
I've had this one in my cart for a while now. Maybe I won't have to wait and hold back for my birthday
I would love to win this wheel! My daughter always wants to do pottery with me, but with one wheel, that makes it difficult. I love your videos, thank you for all you do!
As usual, amazing video. I love how constructively honest You are. I am very much "still in the planning stage" potter 🤣
I have been watching so many videos from you and the podcast I woke up the other day with "potter tip" in my mind 😂
Been a fan for a while! Cant afford a kiln so just did my first pitfire a few weeks ago after watching yours (didnt turn out great since i cant bisque fire first) but i have faith in round 2
Nice review. I was looking at their other wheels just to try out one day.
Love your videos helped me so much as a baby potter

Great review of all of the details!
Would love a wheel so I can practice outside of community open studio times! Thank you for reviewing budget friendly options ❤
Love this! I’ve been taking some wheel throwing courses here and there but I would love to have a personal wheel to practice with.
I just bought my own. I teach a class for a community mental health psychosocial rehabilitation program. It would be great to have a couple for the clients to work with. Hey I notice this one still doesn’t have holes for bat pins! Did they not listen to you??
I do not want the wheel; just wanted to say good to see your arm healing, and so cool of you to give these away. Have fun at the convention.
Hey Donte,
Thanks for this great review once again. I have learned so much form you (even more than my official teacher is teaching me to be honest)
I fel in love with the art and although still a ‘baby potter’ i am hooked.
I really would love to win the vevor wheel for a dear friend. She is in a bit of a rough spot and sure could use this really nice break.
I myself already have a vevor wheel, which I would’t part with even if I saved up enough for a adult potter wheel.

Thank you for the review!!!! Love your channel!
I could DEFINITELY use a decent wheel! (I’m also one of your dirty potter patrons.) 😉❤️
To raise height of wheel then get a ten foot pvc pipe of 2" diameter. Cut the pipe into three equal parts (to the height you want and slid on to legs the rubber foot cover will also fit into the pipe it woks great!
I need it desperately ❤! I’m starting on ceramics!

Thanks for the review!
Yo thanks Donte. I did buy something similar probably 1 year ago and it is about time to say my goodbyes. So if I won that would be sick.
Nice review! One day I hope to have my own space to do ceramics at home. Now that my summer break is over, I won't have time to go to my current studio. And paying for studio time is expensive! But at least I work at a school where I can sneak in my own stuff into the kiln with student work ;)
My dude! I appreciate the honesty!
OK...I was thinking I was crazy because I've seen that logo a lot of places!
I wanna build one from an exercise bike would that work?
