I use to see him around when skating when he was like 12 and I was like 16. I’ll never forget one time in tribeca I did a flat ground tre and kinda got in his way on a trick and he spazzed out on me 😂 time flies damn
I got a similar story, I was skating the pyramid ledges in maybe 2013 or so, and a young Tyshawn jones was there trying a trick when I got there. I tried to warm up and skate while he was filming and my board rolled in his direction. I thought he’d kick it back to me but he flung it in the opposite direction really hard. I left. lol. Emotional damage ensued
"Changing skateboarding" is a bit much. Pat Duffy, Natas, Gonz, Bob Burnquist... These are guys that certainly changed skateboarding. T.J. may have brought a new level of athleticism to riding a skateboard, but culturally he stands on the shoulders of guys like Stevie Williams, Kareem Campbell, and with a little longevity in T.J.s favor, perhaps Andrew Reynolds. No debate that Bill Strobeck has indeed changed the way skateboarding is showcased on film.
Dude what the fuck Tiffany's like the jewelry store thats the weirdest sponser ever everyone is trying to get in the skate game now i guess 😞. They didnt even mention spitfire witch is one of the biggest skate companies ever whats happening to skate boarding 😒
Statistics say Tyshawn is him. Nyjah was skating 6 yrs before turning pro. Ty for 2. He's just a different beast than Nyjah. He is in a different lane than Nyjah and that lane is influential beyond the board to two completely different demographics within the business of skateboarding. The two years in age is essentially an eternity. Nyjah's constant contest riding over shadows his street riding. He's fire in the streets but his gold medals off of repetitive recycled contest runs with a new addition every contest type casted him in my old skater ass opinion... P.$. Nyjah a douche in real life.
@@TerenceTarver Tyshawn didn't go pro at 12. Don't know what you're talking about. And don't forget how young Nyjah was when he broke on to the scene. Dude was like 9 years old flying down stuff. And Nyjah's street skating has never taken a back seat to his contest skating. Homie put out an unprecedented 24 minutes of insane edited footage last year (more than twice as much as Tyshawn). And every part he's put out is amongst the best of that year. Tyshawn is insane too, but I don't think he's made the mark Nyjah has. Also your gripe with his approach to winning contests is kinda silly, because thats literally how all skaters approach contest skateboarding. P.S. I've heard that Tyshawn is a real douche too
king of pop
💯
A 🐐 in the making, I've been watching skateboarding since 99 and never seen anyone like him
He’s a legend
What's the best video to watch of him?
Because of his pop? I can name 10 people with as much pop , what has he done to change the game?
@@Himathyyyyou have to either be joking or racist 😂
He owns the nyc skate scene
That he does
the vocal emphasis on taste "SO" good, is instant respect from Tyshawn
🔋
The sesh with him had us going in as well, salute to him.

From what I have seen, that sounds just like him. He acts like his shit don't stink too.
I like how GQ is an authority in skateboarding now 😂
Tyshawn is dope af...but i dont see how he changed skateboarding forever..thats a pretty bold claim
We love bold claims here
It was a quote from GQ hahah, skateboarding has all the way sold out now
That was my thought exactly lol😂

Anyone into skating in 2024 should already know the name if I’m being honest

@@TheReal_Oshow Friday morning...give me a time?
Way overhyped.
How?
I agree. Skates fast pops high outside of that it's meh. He's still good as fuck, but SoTY? I don't know about that.
