Hi and thanks for including our game Icaria in your list! We've released a couple major updates for our demo since you last played it and have few more more things planned for it before we get to release next year.
Recently added a game called Modulus to my wishlist. Worth a look into. Seems to be a factory building game where you build the pieces that build the factory to build the pieces. Definitely looks interesting.
Dawn Apart: Looks very interesting. Also looks very ambitious. Will be keen to see how it turns out. Earth of Oryn looks lovely. Keeping my eye on it. Industrial Annihilation seems on the surface like something I'd like to play but I worry that trying to belt a factory and micro units might be a bit too much. Keen to see you play this before I dive in. Microtopia is the one I'll most likely play. I really liked your vid on it. I love insects, robots and factory games so this is a no-brainer. It could only be more appealing if the ants could ride dinosaurs. Icaria looks really nice. Gonna watch your video because the gameplay loop isn't super clear from the demo footage. Astronomics is another one I'll be waiting for your vid for. Good vibes from the footage but need to know more. Automation Station has a really nice aesthetic. It will be interesting to see how it works once it's up and running.
Dawn Apart has been on my wishlist for a long time now. Cannot wait for that to drop. Industrial Annihilation looks great but the devs pissed me off when they released Titans as a standalone. Felt like a money grab. Microtopia I thought was coming out this year. Oh well. The rest look meh.
Workers & Resources, the greatest automated game every year since 1960, wasn't listed. We, in Potatograd's OP-144 factory, automatically get to work at 2am and don't stop until midnight, everyday of the year. Oh how we thank our glorious leader, Comrade-Dictator Potato, for his benevolence, allowing us to work 22 hours/day, without pay, for our republic. Thank you, Comrade. Please bring back the Workers & Resources series, Comrade. Thank you. 10-year subscriber.
I love 8bit. 3D graphics is so boring, every game looks the same. Pixels graphics games just need to understand that they should use regular fonts, because those pixely fonts are so hard to read.
@@mbabuskov Oh I'm not saying 3D, I really love 2D games. But more like well-drawn comic style, I actually have trouble focusing on pixelart games for some reason. To each their own of course 🙂
@@mbabuskov 8-bit graphics are fun when used correctly but all too often it's the first box checked when a new indie dev starts working on a game and when done poorly, it's nothing but a strain on your eyes - and makes for a forgettable game.

Oh it’s very very much on my radar
If it's Hooded Horse, I'm in! Looking forward to Whiskerwood!

Industrial annihilation was updated on steam within the last few days stating a planned early access release date of: 10 december
No Satisfactory competition there then, the only one I'd even take a look at is Rise of Industry 2.
I'm an og total annihilation gamer. I am looking forward to industrial annihilation since I'm really big on automation games.
Nice list, thank you.
Whiskerwood look like big DLC or sequel of Timberborn
I was going to recommend Microtopia. I played the demo and was quite intrigued by the gameplay. Would love to see your spin on it
I played the (demo?) I think and it was good. Certainly a unique take on the genre which I always like. I’ll be playing the full release when it’s out
@@orbitalpotato I'll be looking forward to it!
Thanks for your work.I always enjoy your ideas for games. Have you ever seen Revive & Prosper? Take care, greetings from Germany
12:16 "Yeah" 😂
For me, it's all about Block Factory
thank you
You're welcome!
I love those type of games
But it's sad to see, that there won't be any game that can come close to factorio. Even before space age was released
Can you please make a video on the same topic for 2023 games?.
For ex factory building game of 2023 or 2022
I just wish listed the total world, liberation, and lumber mill
Any of them coop? Anybody data on that?
which are coop and which arn't?
looks like all single player :(

satisfactory is still the best
Great list of game (!) but can we be done with 8-bit graphics yet? It no longer has the nostalgic charm it used to - it's just hard on the eyes.
Thank you, I agree. The worst is that they insist on making the fonts super pixely and hard to read.

@@mbabuskov funny you say this as I have the exact opposite. To me all these 8bit pixel games feel and look the same.

i saw nothing there that will make me switch from Oxygen Not Included
all of them look goofy and unserious and the ones that do are just city builders. shame, nothing like factorio for next year.
Factorio Space Age
Technically it's not upcoming but nevertheless it's released in 2024 Q3
