Well done, keep up the good work ! Thank you for your making a vid for the passenger side. Everyone makes vids on the driver side but that’s the easy side. Thins is a good approach for an AWD application.
Great video, I am in the process of replacing mine at the moment on my 2010 tahoe ls 4x4 with 217,000 miles on it. Driverside went pretty smooth. This passenger side though is a pain. Finally got it out struggled to get the new in. Motor was jacked up as far as I could go, starter out, dipstick tube out and exhaust manifold heat shield is out of the way. Finally get it back in and then struggling to get the 4 bolts into the block. I got all of them except the bottom right so far. I also removed my fender liners too on both sides. Mainly for extra room to work but to also look at all my wiring in there and clean up what I can. Also while doing these mounts I replaced the knock sensors on the sides of the engine block not because it needed it but because I wanted to.
Nice job man you don't need to remove the starter motor it will come out without removing the starter you have to lift the engine thanks for sharing nice job again 👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
Thanks for the video. Just finished both motor mounts on my 08 Yukon Denali. Driver side was straight foward. This video helped me a lot with the passenger side. Thanks
I always do the passenger side first so you get more movement from the broken driver side mount. Everyone does the driver side first and then they sit there and try to get enough flex from a brand new mount. I'd like to say it's common sense but I've been a GM master tech for 50 years strong now
Would it make sense to do both side simulataneously? Like remove the 3 bolts on both sides, then jack the motor up and get both mounts off and back on?
Wonder if removing the heat shield and plate would of been easier to slide out instead of removing starter gotta do mine tomorrow not looking forward to it
Awesome tips! 😎👍 I tbink I can do it on my own with this video. Did you have to put the truck on jack stands? Did you need more than one Jack? Do you recommend replacing the transmission mount too? Do the mount bolts need Loctite?
Any thought on separating the mount from the plate/heat shield while it's still in the engine compartment, making it easier to get it past the starter?
After all this, would removing the exhaust manifold make the actual remove/replace easier? New gasket, new collector oring would be needed, but seems like it would give all the room to pull the mount? I'm about to tackle this on 2009 Suburban 4WD LTZ; every gizmo in the way of this job!
It would make it easier but since we are talking about exhaust bolt you might come across the bolt snapping off with the studs. You can reuse the exhaust gaskets
@@JaboTheMechanic I just replaced my driver's side mount yesterday, and I actually thought it was tight. After watching your video of the P-side I'll have to pack my lunch for it!!

This was great I was going to pay someone 200 dollars to put it on but the part was only 20 bucks. So I did it myself thanks
Glad it helped

Best video on this that I have seen. Thanks for sharing!!
Glad it helped!
Great video, doing my 2013 Yukon Denali 6.2 tomorrow. I did watch both lol thank man.
Looked like it was easy to pull and put in than my driver side I did today, couldn’t pull the steering shaft - to much rust lmao
I feel that- got my steering shaft to bum down but wasn’t going to come out - driver side sucks!
Very good job 👍👍👍 nice video 👍👍👍 you teaching very good 👌 thank you so much for you your video
Glad it helped!
realistic instructions for the everyday dude
Thanks for both videos I was having trouble with driver side watch this and help me see where to get more space big help
Glad it helped! No problem anytime!

Thank you for this. Just wondering if you loosened the transmission mount
You are welcome. No i did not. I left the other mounts still in tack.
Great job man I really appreciate you make this video ..helps me a lot.
Glad I was able to help
Your video is a lifesaver. Thanks for sharing.
Im glad it helped you out 😊
Removing that dipstick also makes it a lot easier
Thank you for your time on a great video ..........
Glad it helped!

Thank you so much for the video. One question. Could I not jack the motor up with both mounts out and it make it easier? Thanks
I never tried it that way. Its easy the way how I do it
@@JaboTheMechanic okay thanks for the video and tips. My mounts come in the mail today and im very excited to put them on
Yeah no problem. If you get stuck let me know
Dangerous doing both sides at once. If tranny mount is broken kinda weary of engine rolling

I thought about that but felt like i was going to have an issue installing.
How about the torque spec for the block and frame.?
Good job bro
37f-lb sound about rite?
Thanks. I have a 2wd
Look like a good job to me.
Glad it helped
excelente muchas gracias
Good, good vid! I want to puke! I have to do my motor mounts!
I have a broke motor mount on an 04 6.0 escalade awd and the long bolt is gone. Does anyone know the size?
Great video !!!

@@JaboTheMechanic Agreed, both manifold and the collector. I'm thinking better to loosen those while engine is hot...kevlar arm socks ready...lol
Lol. For the driver side is a walk in the park for the passenger is a tight squeeze. But it is manageable.

thumbs up
MY MOTOR MOUNTS WERE COMPLETE!... DIDNT HAVE TO REMOVE OLD BRACKET..?
Thats. Good
