    When I went whole-foods, entirely plant-based (WFePB) five years ago, I experienced two very pleasant surprises. I work out and run six days per week, and one day, just by chance, I realized that I did not have any underarm odor afterward. Also, for pretty much as far back as I can remember, I had always had bad breath. Quite frankly, it smelled like poop. I could always tell, too, that it wasn't coming from my mouth but from my gut. I knew this, because I would brush my teeth, and no more than 10 minutes later, the bad breath was back. I was always chewing gum and carrying it around with me when I knew I'd be around others, as I was extremely self-conscious about this. But then again, one day a few years ago, just by chance, I realized that my breath wasn't bad. Not bad in the mornings, not bad anytime. And it's been normal ever since going WFePB. I no longer carry gum around with me. So many other wonderful things have happened to me since going WFePB, as well, and it's easily in the Top 5 best things I've ever done for myself. 😃👍

    I love the seminal vesicles point dr. McDougall made. I think Dr. McDougall should put together a lecture all about how just looking at our Anatomy proves we are supposed to be eating plants and not animals. The seminal vesicles is just one of many areas of the body we can point to that proves this point. Like how our jaw works. Our teeth. Our digestive track. How we can't make our own vit c. Dr Milton Mills has a really good lecture about it somewhere but I never get sick of listening to Dr. McDougall. So I'd love to hear his take on it.

    • @Jeffs60
      @Jeffs60 7 месяцев назад

      Is Dr. Mills in good shape? How fast did he run the marathon? Komodo dragons eat meat, they don't have fangs. Birds of prey don't have fangs, still eat meat. Snakes eat meat, they swallow it whole. A Gorilla lives to about age 35, has a total cholesterol level of about 245 mg/dL, has to spend 14 hours all day eating and still has to sometimes eat it's own poop to get extra nutrients from it's own low nutrient diet, it can't throw a ball anywhere as fast as a human even though it weighs 3 times as much as a human and it has a stomach pH of 7 where a human is 1.5. It has tooth decay by age 30 from too much raw plant food. Is this the life that you want to emulate? What about a spider which has no teeth but is a carnivore. What about a hagfish which is a carnivore but has no jaw. What about a human do you know what they should eat by the shape of their teeth and jaw? A butterfly is a herbivore and lives 2 weeks but a Greenland shark is a carnivore and can live up to 500 years.

Birds of prey have adaptations to their beaks and talons to assist with capturing food - some birds have toothlike structures in their beak to help snag fish. What point are you trying to make exactly? You went off on a wild tangent about emulating gorillas.

      @Jeffs60 7 месяцев назад

      @@ebirch90 I am trying to explain to mattzilla it does not matter what type of teeth or jaw an animal has for what they should eat. And a Hippopotamus has a massive jaw and teeth but is a herbivore. A springtail can jump 100 times it's body length by eating mold, algae and fungi. A camel can go 2 months without eating which is unusual for being a herbivore.

      @@Jeffs60 Hippopotamus possesses massive jaws and teeth, primarily adapted for grinding vegetation, these features also serve secondary functions for defense and territorial displays. Evolution rewards traits that enhance an organism's fitness within its ecological niche. Thus, the dietary habits of animals are often intertwined with their anatomical and behavioral characteristics, shaped by millennia of natural selection. Comparing these adaptations to our own anatomy offers insights into potential health implications of dietary choices.
