Started playing this game in 2014 and stopped playing in 2018, if Tanki goes back to its old roots I will actually start playing again and im sure many OGs will also come back
I don't know why people make you feel that Classic Tank is something old and full of dirt and will never succeed except for a limited time, man. Anyone who thinks that going backwards is a negative thing is a fool. Old Tanki. In my opinion, it is the future of the new game.
No MM, any OG player will remember the pain of playing a 2 hour long CTF only for buyers to join and take over in the last 10 minutes.

Idk how to feel about this. On one hand it’s nice that we’re getting the old tanki that we all loved. But I think it will heavily decrease the normal tanki player base and cause a divide in the two player bases.
I will only be glad if the current game dies.
Such an imbecile project as it is now should not exist in the realities of today's game development.
And most of the old playerbase already moved on long time ago, there won't be sufficient amount of players to keep it going. Plus people keep wanting old tanki old tanki but with this you will get just the game, no cool events like in the past or the contests or anything, it's just not the same vibe as back then.
@ It should be left in the past. Tanki classic won’t help the current tanki and its future. Big ytbers will switch to the classic version and the current tanki online will slowly die out. It will do more harm than good for the current tanki. Feels like they threw the white towel and it sucks for those who spent their time and money in tanki.

@ Won’t be a mode, apparently it’s going to be a separate game. I think this is a big mistake for tanki but only time will tell.
I hope they will return 10 crystal boxes, or these newer 10,20,50,100 which were removed shortly after. i also really hope for the isida's attack to become an electric beam like it used to be in 2012 and the railgun's shots to be just a laser beam and not that weird whirly thing which they added later plus anybody remembers shaft not having the laser? that was really cool. Plus i hope they will bring some ancient old maps like the abyss

Would be nice to see older Tanki again. I just wonder if enough people will play though. Sure a lot of people played the older versions, but if they even remember this game anymore is another thing. I hope it works out. I dont mind regrinding. I loved seeing that progress bar and gaining my M0-M3s.
People would stay if they add more Maps and game modes.
That would change nothing to the "Classic-ness" of the game, because you could still play old maps and game modes.

only thing I wanted different on the classic tanki was the supplies availability. It's really disencouraging playing against p2w full drugged players nobody would match them unless drugged, but today its too available and doesnt matter that much because its active almost all times. Making it more available but increasing the cooldowns to encourage a smart use of supplies or ways to punish players without supplies, for example.
Gold boxes, also, are really useless now. Back then youd get 150-300 in a match and today you get 800-1000 plus common keys with 1000 easily.
Kinda think we shouldnt get our hopes up too much. Tanki tends to hype something up and once they release it its underwhelming and dissapointing. Really do wish they dont mess up this one though

From the information that we have regarding Tanki Classic right now, the game feels really awesome and nostalgic. However, I think as soon as the second Tanki Classic is released, all the players are going to rush to play the game, and they'll definitely enjoy it for a few months, as you said, but after those few months, many players might return to the current version of Tanki, as they have got used to the augments and all the other things, even if they don't like it. I'm not sure though, maybe I'm just thinking too far. We'll see I guess...
Having said that though, I feel like even if there's a slight chance of players getting bored of Tanki Classic and returning to the current version of the game after a few months, it's best to not create much hype for Tanki Classic and release it as soon as possible. The more hype that's created, the higher the chances of players getting disappointed, and thus bored, after playing it for a few months. I think the playerbase for Tanki Classic and the current version of Tanki should be more or less equal. The playerbase of one game shouldn't outnumber the other.
The idea that we can't transfer account, I don't really like that cuz I personally have to go through the whole progress again and again
thats the fun part tho, id be mad if i played the game and had nothing to grind for bc thats what made it fun

I liked it when there was m1 m2 and m3 only for turrets no mk4 mk5 bs, and I liked the turret design of m1 m2 and m3 and the color change for railgun i think m1 was blue m2 violet and m3 golden

i feel every paint should have its own protection to make them unique and needable, because theres no reason for paints then other than cosmetics
Tbh they should have let us transfer accounts I like the current customization the animated paints and colors for firebird or freezer

Okay, some personal issues for me:
Upgrade timers? Those were annoying, and the game would be better off without them, but there's no news in that area. I already play CoC, there's plenty of timers there
I think it would be good to keep the crystal augments for turrets. Make sure that they are exactly as strong as stock, so that the game adds variety without discouraging stock turret users. This would also allow the battle passes everybody liked, where they had one augment and one paint
How are supplies going to work? Is it back to a time where they are rare enough that only buyers can use them? Because that would be a huge issue if we're trying to make the game good. Either have no supplies, or semi-plentiful supplies
For me, the classic Tanki Online is the period from 2010 to 2012. After 2012, the game lost its original atmosphere and style.

so lame just make the game simple and dont add more op weapons for every hull....making people who dominate the games dominate even more..they ruined this game with so many new annoying features
Literally no point playing the old game if they start adding features like this, drones etc - I don’t mind any new features even from the 2024 tanki online as long as it’s a feature that doesn’t give any advantages such as certain paints, coloured turret shots like pink firebird etc

I hope they still have those special helper paints in classic Tanki, I’d love to have Helios with the old skins. The HD version is alright but it just doesn’t look as good
I would like the containers but the first ones. I would be better if Turres and Hulls would be unlocked by ranks not from the start

Kits are the only reason I would came back. It was so fun to grind crystals to unlock kit and enjoy it like every 2-5 ranks. Really enjoyed that diverce gameplay

I think this is very positive because in addition to being able to return to the old Tanki, people will be able to appreciate the new Tanki, since the current Tanki is not really a bad game, the problem is that it is something completely different from the classic Tanki, but nevertheless, the majority of current players come from the old Tanki and that is why they complain about everything new, now that both player bases are separated, there will be a more positive opinion about the current Tanki and surely a more negative opinion regarding how the game was before since currently people have it as if it were a god or something like that.

So far its looking pretty good. The current tanki is just so annoying and unplayable without broken augments so I've once again gone on my yearly break from that and just gonna wait for classic to come out to play again.

Catching Golds in current tanki somehow doesnt feel special anymore. Iegit dont care catching them. So i really hope tanki classic will give us that feeling again tthat our heart's almost jumped out of our chest's when gold dropped 🤣🥲
It be nice to havet the old camera movement for XPBP. The on in HTML threw me off a lot and I eventually stopped playing XPBP altogether

I left the game in 2020, when it litterally didn't feel like Tanki anymore, I don't know if you remember me Taspen (Larousse) anyway, I hope they will do a better version, the problem is that they already lost like 80-90% of their player base compared to 2014-2015, so they will have to do some marketing to get new players to join their game... They should have waken up years earlier when everything was going South...
personally, it makes me less excited just knowing that its gonna be modern tanki with old graphics, hopefully no augments or alterations or whatever, cuz i would literally give up hope right on the spot. I will not grind it if i have to pay money to make progress, that's bs.

Adding new stuff to old tanki game is a bullshit... you betetr play then today Tanki.
Old game shoud be like the year when i discover it (i don't remember exactly cause it's long time ago... it was just when Shaft was created as the last turret).
Tanky Classic shoul only be like that time, with cristals drop everywhere, with only old paints with protections, with same ranks. With old turrets and hulls, without Juggernaut No tesla, no magnum, no hammer, no gauus, no striker. Isisda should be save as vampire nanobots for self healing and Damage as the same. They only have to double or triple battle funds for more cristals income per battle... due to lack of players maybe.

Lets see if the devs get it right, or screw it up like Tanki X. As for updates not being a thing, only time will tell if this version lasts at all. As for starting over again, nah not for me. I spent my fair share of cash back in the day and Hell will freeze over before I spend a dime on any version they bring out. I may or may not give it a go, but either way I doubt it will last long.

yeah this is what I expected, they shouldve added tanki classic into normal tanki just like fortnite seasons. rn they just devide the playerbase so we will have more botted lobbies in normal TO and tanki classic will probably be just another one of those pirates where you cant really find good battles at certain ranks bcs no one will grind it like in 2016

all sounds pretty good. still main concern is not being able to enjoy it because of insane p2w. good that it is coming sooner than later as well, wouldnt want the hype to die down at all.
The thing is, tanki has been p2w since like forever. True that the premium account, crisis and broken augments weren't there, but you could always buy crystals.
@Gustanker oh yeah tanki was p2w since year 1, its just very important that its possible to have fun without buying crystals. the reason me and friends quit was cos it became impossible to have fun without paying. thats why game died.

I wouldn't mind having overdrives. Or just a universal one like the og overdrive, or the original unique hull ones. I also really liked the original augments / alterations and the ones they added until around 2019

Im afraid that this game will reduce the player base of normal tanki so much that we're only going to get bots every battle lol. I dont mind tanki classic, I know a lot of people like it. For me though, it seems boring without augments or overdrives, but we'll see
Nice concept, but I have a feeling that it'll fail, and it'll impact the regular game negatively too.
They should allow to transfer account, but return crystals for the weapons and stuff payed in later updates that unavailable in old tanki.
But I hope they return magnum but with tank only movement and rotatable muzzle, and without helping ui, only skill. I loved first version of magnum. But don't return striker, it's ass back then.

First of all those revivals you call them fake revivals because they're meant to revive old versions of games you will learn that they're not rip offs what's the whole point of a revival
But if all prices r too low young players will absolitely get destroyed (get my point?)
I'm kinda disappointed about Magnum not being in Classic, this also means we are not going to have those OG augments that were just the best because they actually changed the core mechanic of a turret, like for example Magnum used to have an augment/alteration that made it spin around horizontally instead of the default vertical aiming, that was my favorite to play offensive with because it actually took skill to use and know where your shot will land.
Also it seems we wont be having container which is gonna be a HUGE problem since the game will be the old grind out over weeks type, that I hated so much because even back then and in the tanki copy games right now ONLY BUYERS can get to high ranks. No matter how much skill you have, nobody will be getting to max level/max garage in under 3-5 years minimum! So if this is gonna be the case the people are definitely gonna be leaving the game after a month or two unless they got money to spend.
Old talki was good but do you guys remember all the buyer titan+smoky M1 guys with hundreds of supplies killing everyone on the starter ranks??? That was just pure cancer. Unless they add a way to make Classic FAR less pay to win (like by adding containers that everyone can get reliably) it will just be a revival of a corpse
You all magnum players ruin the game modes by camping non stop, so I'm GLAD it wont be in classic.

An outdated and boring game... The old version of the game was designed for the old player base, Hazel (Opex) brought the game to a modern state over time. For example, fast gameplay. I'm sure you'll get bored when you play the old version and make excuses. Oh wait, the excuses are already ready "why can't I play with my main account"...Players who started the game in 2020 say that the old tanki is not p2w...u will spend dozens of hours and not be able to max out even 1 combo. really you will stay few hours in 1 battle? old tanki was p2w game and still p2w but atleast you can get few max combo and few strong augment for your game play style. You miss the old memories, not old Tanki bcs of that you will make excuses about classic tanki. i hope im wrong.
