Christy, Your videos have inspired me! I have become completely obsessed in such a great way. God is using you greatly. Continue this wonderful ministry to us. It is encouraging us all to be generous givers and show God's love to these wonderful kids. You use every nook and cranny. It is so fun to pack these boxes now that I have more ideas from you and Michelle. God bless!
I love your passion for the details. This is how I put my boxes together and God gives me so much Joy from it. Such a wholesome moment to have. . . . .
My favourite item is the locket. That's so special. I'm glad she has a tote bag because she may struggle to fit everything back in the box - it's so jam packed. I love sending sewing kits for this age group.
Thank you, Christine! You know I’d like to give her everything! But in order to reach more children with the Gospel I’m using these special OCC boxes. And I think it’s still very special! Thank you for joining me by using the OCC boxes too! We’re united in our mission. ❤️❤️
Thanks so much for making these videos! My favorite things I’ve put in a box for 10-14 were both sort of wow items. They are in the same box that I am sending this year. One is a very unique, full sized purse (reminds me of playing dress up), and the other is a very beautiful and detailed compact mirror. The mirror is just stunning, and so smooth to touch! That’s something I really hope she cherishes!
@@estherwaters2218 I think so, but I would double check with OCC. You can reach them with questions easily on Messenger if you have it. I’m not 100% sure because there is a video of a girl telling how year’s ago she got a porcelain doll. I’m guessing they are more strict now. But it’s worth asking. Let me know if you don’t have Messenger and I’ll ask for you. Or you can contact their customer service.
Another wonderful shoebox, I remember when you shared the beautiful barbie doll 😍I love her outfit! The little heart stuffy is precious! I actually have one too that was made for me. A few years ago, after we lost baby #4, I had a sweet friend tell me she was sending me a hug in the mail. She sent me a heart stuffy with the word "HUG" on it ❤ I will always treasure it as I'm sure this sweet girl will treasure her gifts! Thank you for sharing 💕
Hi Christie, This is a beautiful box - fun and practical. I like the heart key chain plush. And I've done the same when I can't fit a regular plush item into a box. I also pack fancy/decorative pens with plush heads, e.g. koalas, or pom-poms. Plush covered journals are also a great way to add something soft to a box. TFS. 🎁
I’m glad you told me! I love all your options for adding something soft! As I was reading your list, my mind stretched. 🥰 You have such good ideas here. Thank you for sharing!
I love to include a math kit and graph paper as a wow item. I have done Barbies, a special stuffies, a dress, art supplies, a jewelry box with jewelry, ect.
That variety of items sounds lovely! I love that you include math kits. I just found nice calculators on sale yesterday that I snatched up to use in my boxes! ❤️ What else do you include for your math kit?
@@christym.814 Nice! I have struggled to find the ones I think will survive the journey for a price I will pay. I did send a graphic calculator one year.
There are so many different interests for that age range. I don’t know if I could choose one thing I’d want to always add. Probably a notebook and cute pens because they are nice and versatile. ☺️
Daphne, I was just talking to my mom about it today. Having the reusable pads is really extremely helpful and life changing to the older girls. I’m thrilled that you’re passionate about including them too! 🥰
No she doesn’t sell them. She keeps so busy making them for her boxes and mine along with making many other things like the dresses and lovies that she doesn’t have time to make extras to sell. ❤️
I think 10-14 boxes can be tricky. Kids maturity differs. I feel like 10 year olds still like toys after that they loose interest in dolls, dinos, cars etc. But bigger kids like games, balls, and art stuff. I could be wrong. Just my opinion with my kids and kids I know.
From what I’ve been told by people who have experienced a shoebox distribution say the children are young for their age compared to American children when it comes to games and dolls. They haven’t ever had them before, so they have an appreciation and love for the dolls and cherish and play with them well beyond the age of children in the US.
I believe there is a huge difference between most American children and the children who receive OCC shoeboxes. A child who has never received a gift or owned a doll or toy car does not have the opportunity to loose interest. Thank you for packing shoeboxes for God's children to demonstrate both His love for them and your love for them.
It’s Dove. I doubt it’s a fancy natural dye. But I’ll check. I watched your unboxing right when you posted. It’s a very cute box. I do love a nice sea theme. Your octopus plush is darling and your homemade items, especially the bags, are my favorites and lots of school supplies! You are doing such a nice job packing quality boxes!
I love these sewing pouches that Michelle makes, they are wonderful. I like to put some kind of craft project in the 10 to 14 boxes, too. As wow item I like to add a full outfit and this year I add 5 reusable pads as well, of which one I already attach to the underwear, so she can see right away what it is. I also add a plush in all my boxes. With the pads I find it difficult to include a doll in the size of a Barbie, but I include a smaller one, or some other smaller figurines. I also make sure that I include a great set for drawing.
I looked up the Dove pink soap and found rave reviews and comments about the clean ingredients. I have a friend that makes homemade soaps. I bought some of hers for shoeboxes but then I found out homemade soap is often removed. What kind do you recommend, Trae?

Yes, I’m sending a backpack in every box for two reasons-getting items home and to use for school. ♥️

I agree with your choices. I think having a school notebook plus a journal type notebook plus a nice pen would be great in a shoebox!
I haven't made boxes but am wanting to. My item that is a must for me to include would be reusable pads...

How much fabric do you suggest to send ?
I sometimes send a remnant and other times a fat quarter. The Lord will lay the right one on your heart. ❤️
We are working on a Moana theme with the same colors you chose for this box. I love the precious hair bow & the beautiful locket :)
