Those are some great ideas! Too bad I'm just now seeing this. I packed for a 2-4 Boy. It took the whole two months for me to shop for my little tyke. I did my best to Not purchase things from China, because of their hatred and treatment towards Christians. To me, that just fizzles the whole meaning of the shoeboxes. It would be like giving a toy box car to a Jewish child. My little guy got a 'hand towel'---it's long enough to be a bath towel for a little one, and a washcloth. He got a bar of soap, and two light-up toothbrushes that indicates how long to brush for. The light goes off when the timer is up. (about a minute). He got a "My First Coloring Book", a box of thick crayons for little hands, a paint set, glue stick, and rounded tip scissors. Next, he got a Paw Patrol backpack, a Paw Patrol 'mess free' coloring book, and a Paw Patrol fuzzy blanket. Next, he got size three undies in fun colors, a pair of socks size 2-4, and I bought the next size up, size four in pants and a little grey short sleeved shirt with grey smiley faces all over. I also tossed in a little Llama and Sloth coloring book with stickers, and a couple of hot-wheels, a truck and a car. I think I covered all the basis, Except I FORGOT to put in a comb! Arrggghh I can't believe I forgot a comb. I kept remembering, and forgetting, and then forgot altogether. Drats. Maybe they'll have a spare one at the processing center? But, anyway, thanks so much for the video, lots of great ideas for next year!
Deirdre Pasko, your box sounds wonderful! No worries about the comb. I'm confident this shoebox will be loved and that its packing was led by God! Let's pray this little boy feels God's love and receives Jesus as his savior right away when he hears the Gospel message. Then he can take his shoebox home and share all about God's love and his parents will receive Jesus as well. Your gift can change a life. Let's pray it does!
Hi! Trying to get the printables that Blessings In A Shoebox offered online before. I need the list of how to use and clean pads and the list that the box is following rules. I can't find it, please help. Thank you.
Thanks for the video. I'm running out of some things now that I have 100 boxes. Can I send what I do have in the box and expect the packaging center will top it off? I'm afraid to send half empty ones but also don't want to spend more than I already have. I can save the stuff for next year but I'd like to use the items in boxes this year since inflation might cause less people to pack. Any advice would be appreciated.
Maybe this is what was intended... I only do fillers. I felt called upon the first time Christy mentioned how some boxes arrive half full. I decided that since I really couldn’t commit to doing entire boxes, I would do fillers. I do pencil kits, some school supplies and personal hygiene kits. I live on a fixed income but I can at least buy pencils and such wholesale. Send your boxes. I know there will be fillers for them. I believe that the volunteer packers will be blessed with knowing exactly what to add to your boxes to compliment and fill them.
Please send them as fillers. Never send a box thinking/ assuming they will have enough filler to fill it. Combine as much as you can to make well rounded full boxes then pack up the rest as filler.
It’s exciting to know you made 100 boxes! Yay! Now that you’ve reached the end of your budget, it’s the perfect time to round up your leftover items into boxes marked on the outside with a thick marker “FILLERS”. Your items will round out shoeboxes that are lacking and enable children to receive full shoeboxes! Thank you for making shoeboxes and for sending fillers!
@@christym.814 My boxes are full but missing a sharpener or a box of colored pencils and a few pens. I just have an extra 21 missing them. I'll try to round them out. Thanks.
When I have worked at the shoebox warehouse, dice and playing cards were removed from boxes, since they are related to gambling. I would not recommend those items. Thanks
They are listed on the allowed list for USA. I’ve never seen anyone take out cards or dice because we are allowed to send it. This question comes up every year. If there is ever a question at the processing centers, people ask their station leader who would confirm something is allowed or not allowed. It has to do with the receiving country that is assigned to certain nations. Some nations send to more strict receiving nations, so the rules are different depending on where you live in the world.

They are allowed in the USA. NOT IN Canada though.

From the UK these are allowed.
